I would highly recommend this bike shop for all your repair needs. Having bought a retro mountain bike which needed some repair work I decided to drop the bike in on a Saturday morning on my way to work not expecting to have it again till during the week. Well as soon as I went to the workshop the g...
Great shop. Have had a bad run of luck with little things going wrong but the guys in Penny Farthing have always looked after me. Always been charged less than expected, and even had a tube replaced for free at 5:30pm as Robbie felt so sorry for me! Great shop, Great Staff.
Not only quite expensive, but also with the most unfriendly staff I've ever come across. They left my gear worse than it was, and when I asked what to do in case the new tyre I bought wronged me they said it'd be my problem.
I bought not one but two bikes there and they turned out well when I went to buy the older gentleman, I suppose that he was the owner, he attended to me and my partner very well, I think that despite being in quarantine, they continued to attend from the door and the ...
Thought I'd have to get the Luas home after a flat but they got me back up & rolling again in just a few minutes. Bonus points for spotting the cause of the issue another bike shop overlooked; that the wheel needed new rim tape.
Amateur shop. Repairs are slow and you can end up with missing parts on the bike. I will avoid this shop from now on. After getting a tyre fix I ended up with no handlebar ends and no light. They lost it in the shop and deny it. They blamed me, even if just before entering the shop I have put the l...
I always get a good service here . The guys are helpful and friendly . The store is filled with many interesting bikes and accessories . It's my go - to bike shop .
Very helpful and friendly guys who give a great service. They went above and beyond the call of duty to find an obscure part for a Trek which I had bought there.
Always a positive experience. The staff are consistently friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to take time to chat through purchases or queries. Really great service, would happily recommend Penny Farthing to anyone.
Friendly and helpful staff and considered whether repair was worth it before doing it. Bike part repair was quite reasonable. Much cheaper than quotes from 2 other repair shops. Would return again!
Alot of bike shops in the city centre are a little to focused on sales, no this one. Great customer service from Ben who passed me over to the mechanics who did an unbelievable repair job on an older trek racer that I own. They even tuned the breaks which I thought were fine. I will definitely be ba...
Xmas eve - quick morning fix on my back tire cink and broken spoke replaced. Fixed on the spot, less than 10 minute turn around. Thanks again and Merry Xmas.
very poor service. I called them on the day of collecting my bike that I'm coming from outside the city so I need to travel long distance to get the bike. when arrived at the shop they have the cycle assembled but did not include the all miscellaneous parts of the bike. They did not give me lock w...
From the moment I decided to pick Pennyfarthing for my bike to work scheme I have been continually impressed and overwhelmed by the support and professional service they provide! Not ONE bit intimidating and I cannot believe they have serviced my bike free of charge and replaced a mudguard that has ...
Went in on Saturday asked if they could look at my handle bars as my wrist were sore the adjusted them and my seat all in 10mins for free very kind and great people it was not the first time I have asked for help from them. And have always been welcomed and helped great shop and repair section as we...
Love this shop. You walk in and are immediately made feel welcome. Bought a Giant Rapid with Penny Farthing last year and am very happy with it. Regularly service the bike here too because it's reasonable, the guys give good advice and take care me and the bike. Great bunch of lads. Even popped in y...
Recently got a bike from this shop and it was a great experience, the range and price of bikes is great, the staff knew their stuff about all the bikes and accessories and were very friendly and good crack too, would definitely recommend buying a bike here.
Myself and my boyfriend recently decided to purchase bikes on the bike to work scheme. After shopping around we decided to go with Penny Farthings as they had a great selection and the staff were extremely helpful when it came to choosing the right bikes. Two very satisfied customers.
The lads did a fantastic job of sourcing a part that fit the look of my bike perfectly, in spite of it being an unusual bike. Knowledgeable and helpful staff.
called in this eve at 6.05 (they close @6.30) on my way from work & having issues with gears. asked if they could have a look and that I'd make it to the weekend if they were busy. they changed my gear cable right there and then. it's always been the same in this place, the service is just brilliant...
This bike shop rocks. Straight talking; consistantly giving accurate estimates on any job. Fixed my vintage Raleigh and modern Specialized with equal skill. Old school qualities of good customer service and friendly interaction.
Brilliant, last weekend Graham and Ben replaced some components on my bike and they did a brilliant job, no issues whatsoever .The work was completed the same day, given how last minute it was I was very impressed how confident they were they would have my bike ready so quickly. Bravo.
Excellent bike shop. I brought my bike in the other day as had a problem with the gears. Fixed quickly - they tightened up a few little other bits without charging. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
Just popped in to enquire about getting a service done on my bike.
I was advised it would be 25 for a full service but the staff were kind enough to have a quick look at the bike anyway. They oiled my chain and tweaked the gears a little, which is all the bike needed. All free of charge.
Picked up a wonderful little Tern folding bike here for my commute to work over a year ago. Love it so much. After care has been fantastic. Such a great spot. Guys are always so friendly and helpful with great advice and support if you have any issues or questions about maintaining the bike. Great b...
Unbelievable treatment and lack of communication and ended up buying my bike elsewhere.
Full context; in June I wanted to buy a Brompton with the Bike 2 work scheme. I came to Penny farthing and they were really helpful in letting me test the bike. I then went it and placed a custom order. They s...
Can t speak highly enough about the level of service provided in this wonderful bike shop. I dropped in today as my bike s brake had just stopped working. Was helped by the nicest, friendliest guy. He fixed it in 3 min. And then didn t charge me!!
The guys in the service department are great. Their advice is sound, and they give it freely. I'm in the shop regularly to buy what I need for my bikes, even though they aren't the nearest shop to me. Highly recommend them for service.
The best bike shop in Dublin. Friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth staff. Great bikes at fair prices. We were replacing a stolen bike which had been bought at Penny Farthing just two weeks ago, a birthday present for our 16 year old son. They threw in some accessories as they were sorry to hear...
Robbie in here is an absolute gentleman. I cycled in Dublin city for the first time as part of a new job. First day my bike gVe a few problems. They were opened before 9am, and he had my bike serviced by the time I was finished work that same day. Opened to 7:30pm too. Nice lads and have everything ...
I bought my beautiful Giant bike 1 year ago and I have to say it is one of the most valuable assets I own. It is perfect both for an easy trail and for town and it is very good looking (orange and silver)!
I have always wanted a cool bike and the staff of Penny Farthing Cycles helped me along to ...
I highly recommend this place, professional staff , the price is very good, very reasonable . the quality of the service is great! I just popped in at 8am , i was in a rush and a bit worried . Ben was busy but understood that i need it to go to work, he fixed my bike in 30 min !! Big thanks to ...
It s always when the chips are down that you see the best in service. Called in at 440pm and a damaged hub was diagnosed. I would have been stranded but everything was dropped there and then to get me on the road home. Can t ask for better help, service and care then that. Like A&E for bikes .....bu...
I have had my bike repaired a couple of times with these guys. The value and quality of their work is really top class. So much better value than some of the other shops I was using in last few years who in fairness did a good job but charged a small fortune.
I brought here a second hand bike, I had buy the day before, to have it checked. The repair team was all you could ask for, they looked at the bike and knew already what needed to be done. They changed a wheel and fixed the breaks for the cheapest price. As a broke student, they were very comprehens...
I went to get my back tyre changed for a new one since it needed to be replaced , after an hour I came back to collect the bike and I been told that the back brake isn't working and I need to pay 15 euros more to get it fix if I like too. The thing is as I explain them that I haven't had any proble...
Rude staff and unfair: they told me the pedal of my bike was broken and should have been replaced, then I couldn't buy any utility from that shop (since I just wanted one nut to put again in place the pedal). So I have been in another repair shop and with just 0,50 for the nut my bike works again!
Absolute bunch of cowboys! Put a deposit of 100e on a bike and for unforeseen personal reasons I could not complete the transaction. In their eyes a 100e deposit equates to 70e store credit. No grasp on customer care and encouraging repeat business at all, avoid at all costs.
My Trek FX 7.5 was rattling and skipping. I was going to trade it in, but the guys turned it around in a day and it was like a new bike. Best servicing option in Dublin in my opinion. Plus, the staff are very friendly and know what they're talking about. They obviously have a passion for bikes and c...
Got new cassette and chain for cube sl. Used same parts that came with bike.. Dropped in at 10 am fixed it quick for me.. picked up at 3pm same day.. guys great to deal with . Got in just before lock down..
These guys are amazing. They helped me choose a bike which was ideal for my needs, ordered it in and fixed it up for me. They have an on-site repair shop where they also do six-monthly servicing. They're well used to doing Bike to Work Schemes as well. Incredibly professional and friendly team. Ther...
I've bought several bikes from Ryan and Graham over the years. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful . The shop is very well kitted out and has a great vibe about it. The location is a big plus ...smack bang in the middle of Dublin City.
I went to the store to get information about changing the brake and gears cables of my Giant bike. At the cash desk the manager made me the price of 35-40 euro for that but when I left the bike the day after the price has been changed from 35-40 to 52 euro. I went to the desk and I spoke with the ...
I went to take my bike and get my brakes bleed (but working brake), true my rear wheel and sort some worn bushings for my rear suspension as well as it felt a bit loose (although I didn't know it had to do with the bushings). The kid that took my bike said that overall was going to be about 20 euros...
Great place full to the brim with bike accessories and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Always the first place i go if I need something for my bike. I always leave satisfied.
My boyfriend brought his bike in here after previously having had it 'serviced' at another shop, but there were still a lot of problems with it. He called ahead to make sure they could take in the bike, which they could immediately. He got a phone call the next day to discuss all the repairs needed ...
Bought my road bike here a few years back and have always enjoyed stellar service on a fantastic purchase. Today was another example when Graham had me back on the road in no time after me playing around at home bending screwdrivers. Great lads and a real pleasure to deal with.
This is my second purchase from Penny Farthing and as usual I was delighted with the experience. Picked up a Giant Anthem on the back to work scheme, so I got a great price. The guys where very helpful and knowledgeable, couldn't be happier!
Best bike shop around. I've been there a few times to get my bike fixed and serviced. The service is always great, especially the bike mechanics in the back
Best bike shop in Dublin by a mile. Always have the best advice, the guys are seriously nice. Great customer service. Send all my friends here and they say the exact same.
Just delighted with the service I received from the guys Today. It is super to see mechanics that really seem to enjoy and have pride in their work. I will definitely recommend and return. Thanks to the team.
Love this shop! Staff are always helpful, recommending the best option for you and not just after a quick sale. Fantastic aftercare also. Would highly recommend.
Great service. Ben and the team saved my buckled wheel. When speaking to other shops in the area, they only wanted to replace the wheel (Sometimes with very expensive replacements). PFC saved on the waste and cost. The only place I will go to for bike repairs in the future. Thanks lads.
Excellent service again from Penny Farthing. Tomac helped me with my mudguard, which led to an adjustment of my brakes and saddle. Next time my bike needs a service I will take it to them. Thank you very much for keeping me safe on the road!
Bought my first ever decient bike of these guys last year the staff were so helpfull and honest they asked me exactly what i needed and matched the perfect bike for me as i didnt have a clue about bikes at the time .This is by far the most outstanding bike shop in the country highly recomended.
Bought a brand new bike and when I got home I noticed the mudguard was cracked. Went back in and they changed it for a new mudguard, no questions asked. However, when I got back home I noticed another problem. The brackets they used for the new guard was scratched and the black paint came off (it s ...
I'm really pleased with the service Ben from Penny Farthing Cycles did on my folding bike. I've dealt with Ben in the past and he clearly knows what he's doing. Always very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Many thanks.
First time using their service and i'm glad i went with Penny Farthing Cycles. Robbie did a great job on fixing a derailleur on my bike. Will definitely be back in the future.
