A beautiful setting overlooking Grand Anse, a 2 1/2 mile strip of white sand on the Caribbean. We had a sunny, well-appointed 3 room 2 bath villa with terrace, full kitchen and W/D. Full breakfast included, and the restaurants are excellent. Very laid back place with plenty of beach chairs to go around. There are several other restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance.

A very luxurious property. Note that my review is based on a day pass which did not include a room.

We arrived by taxi and were warmly welcomed. Although not included, we opted to have breakfast when we arrived. They have ala carte and buffet options.

There is a pool up at the hotel.

Across the street - you walk through an open garden area to the beach. There is a sand volleyball court, shuffleboard and croquet.
There are a few beach chairs with cushions and then other basic chairs. There are some umbrellas. There were quite a few people there that day.
We had a lady by the name of Donna braid my daughter's hair, but, it wasn't that great (compared to braids another daughter got on another island). Someone drove up on a boat and offered us a pull/ride ... it was quick, but it was a lot of fun. The beach/water was nice.

There was a cafe down at the beach which was included in our day pass. The food was good again. The cocktails were also good. The service was fine and the staff was very friendly.

This review is for the restaurant. This is one of a couple of places I like to take my clients on their last night after a week of sailing. The restaurant has all outdoor seating, right by the beach front. Many tables are set up on a patio but more are placed on the sand with umbrellas large enough to keep the rain off you if/when it comes around.

The food here is absolutely fantastic. The food is fresh and the menu is very simple. You pick whatever meats/seafood they have available, and the sides are all included with your meals and served family style. So you'll get your own plate of lobster or fresh catch or steak or whatever, and the rice, salad and pumpkin puree (soooo delicious!!) Come in bowls for sharing with the table. The portions are perfect.

They have a decent bar and make excellent smoothies here as well. The prices are moderate, considering it's a private resort.

In the evenings they light a big bonfire on the beach and offer smores if you want them. There is also a local band with dancers to entertain you during your meal.

This place is a wonderful Grenadian experience, and I highly recommend coming here at least for a drink if not food. It's well worth it. I've never booked a room here, but I understand it's absolutely worth it and have only heard good things about it.

I did a spa treatment at this place and spent the entire day. I tried the restaurant on two separate occasions. This review is broken up into four parts to keep it fair:

1. Spa Treatment - Five Stars! - Karima Andrews did my massage, at first, I was hesitant to have a local Grenadian as there are foreigners brought in from the Asian countries to do these treatments. However, Karima was excellent! Her massage was comparable if not better than the Asian counterparts I tried. She is very knowledgeable on body oils, body muscle, tension, internal bone structure etc. She definitely demonstrates a senior level in knowledge from everyone else I tried. A massage for me is not a luxury it is a necessity. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. My joints constantly hurt. Since her massage I have felt a huge relief! I intend to use her again. The one caution is the products used in the spa. They didn t feel up to par. The spa itself needs to be cleaned and aired out. It was stuffy and dusty as if it is not used or cleaned properly for a long time. It definitely needs a refresh! Karima was great in making me comfortable and the massage itself was such a relief. Great Job Karima! Thank you so much!

2. General Hotel Vibe Two Stars - This hotel has good bones and a great location. However, it is filthy. There needs to be a good clean up job and refreshed paint. The pool is old and not inviting. I personally would not swim in it nor stay overnight at this place. A day visit for spa treatment is all I would recommend. Given the tired old look I wouldn t take a chance renting a room. The grounds are well kept and pretty.

3. Restaurant Food Two Stars The food was very salty. The chef doesn t seem to be as top of the line as one would expect in these hotels. I say this because I had fish and chips. This dish requires a flakey fish not a meaty fish, which was what I got. Most chefs know this. With food shows educating us all these days I feel more can be done in this area especially with regards to flavour. Excessive use of salt seems to be a thing in Grenada. I suspect the cooks don t know how to balance the salted seasonings with the actual salt. I suggest they revamp the menu.

4. Staff Four Stars the staff is friendly and courteous. Some are serious and act like the Covid police. Not that anyone was not following the rules. But the manner in which some spoke felt like a strict parent punishing a child as opposed to a paying client. I noticed this at other places too. Must be a Grenadian thing. I suggest some quality training for staff to help them recognize that certain tones in their voice and eye rolling, can be considered rude. It should be understood that it is difficult to understand the accent especially with a mask on. We all need to be patient with each other.

If you are looking for a place where you have a great view, where the staff take the time to know you and make you feel so special then this is a place you should definitely consider staying at. The food at their restaurant is fantastic and there are no worries about the tap water.. All safe to drink. The breach bar Savvy's a great place by the beach to get a good bite to eat and get a cocktail to sip on while relaxing on the beach. Always a place to relax and the beach / ocean was amazing. Only challenge we had was the water pressure and hot water, but after a short wait it was fine. It would be nice if this was corrected but not that big of a deal when you are at such a beautiful place. Its a very safe island and traveling by taxi or city bus was not a problem at all to get around if you like to explore on your own. There is a short walking distance to a small mall, restaurants and grocery store if you are looking to purchase some groceries as the villas have a kitchen for your culinary needs. Highly recommended!

This place is nothing but excellent. I can say that the staff is nicer here than at ANY hotel I have ever stayed at. Friendly, accommodating...I can t say enough from Eva to Shauna to Mark the General Manager. They greeted us with cold rum drinks or juice had our rooms ready & made us feel so at home. The rooms are beautiful with a spectacular view of the ocean & a great balcony. You will not be disappointed. They are in perfect shape. We had an excellent dinner in their dining room with great live music. We had their breakfast which was included & we didn t even know it. Today we are on the beach. There are staff to help you with chairs, you can use sailboats paddle boards etc. Towels are available & there is a beach bar & restaurant. I have nothing but 5 star comments to make.

Forth visit here now and it is never anything short of orgasmic. We are staying in cinnamon heights and this is the epic view at sunset. Floating around in the infinity pool looking at this can really help sort your head out. Staff are attentive in a non invasive style. This is a lovely island and this is a calm cool port within a stone's throw of the action. Everything you could want is here and they have a great section of the beach too where you can play lots of beach games or have a cocktail if your feeling like a dehydrated lizard. Highly recommend this place to stay, eat, sleep, relax and enjoy.
