Shoes were not "new" - either tried on in store or returned (laces were untied and irregularly arranged; stuffing paper on both shoes removed). Also, there was a black scuff mark on left shoe which I had to scrub with Ajax to remove. I would not recommend trusting this store.

Looked all over the internet (Amazon, Ebay, Nike, etc.) for some Nike Air Zoom Vapor X for my daughter and Midwest Sports was the only one to have them in the size and colorway I needed. Truthfully, I was a little skeptical ordering from them as I'd never heard of them before, but I placed the order anyway. To my great surprise and relief I received the shoes two days later and my daughter was thrilled with them! Honestly, I couldn't be any more happy with my experience with Midwest Sports and they have earned me as a customer for life!!!

Disappointed by 2 things: 1) dishonesty; 2) ordering experience. I'll start with #2. I asked Midwestsports to price match an item under the terms of their listed Low Price Guarantee. I provided them a link to the competitor's website and to the exact item. The competitor is a confirmed authorized dealer for the item and DID have the item in stock. Again, ALL requirements for the Guarantee were met. Midwestsports simply just canceled the order with no explanation, no call...ZILCH. So I then decided to work through a 3rd party to get resolution. This is where #1 comes in. Midwestsports tells the 3rd party that they considered my case closed because they tried calling me on my listed phone number but it was "out of service". BS. That number is active and working just fine. I even asked the 3rd party to call me on it so they can verify for themselves. Then Midwestsports claimed that that the item on the competitor's site was an "older" model and not "like for like" so not meeting Guarantee criteria. BS. I contacted the manufacturer directly and received an email from them stating that there has only been 1 model of the item; there is no "older"...or newer version. Just this one. So Midwestsports tried to sweep this whole thing under the rug by lying to the 3rd party. (I have it all in writing). If they would have done what any customer service oriented company would do and COMMUNICATE with me about why they couldn't match the price, I would have been bummed but it wouldn't compel me to write this review. So here's my tip: don't blow off your customers and don't lie about trying to resolve the situation when you put forth ZERO effort in doing so. And if there are restrictions to your Low Price Guarantee, DISCLOSE THEM. Obviously, it's not a Guarantee to be taken at face value. If you don't take care of the customer, the competition will...and in this case they did and got the sale.

I would give them ten stars if possible. I came to Midwest sports alongside a tournament and I wanted to get a bag or a new racquet. The guy in the showroom helped me a lot on what type and what to do. They definitely deserve 5 stars. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!

When I ordered new racquet, they said it would be 2 days free shipping.
They also said I would be receiving a confirmation and tracking email, but after three days I didn't receive a single email or the racquet.
I emailed them to figure it out, however they didn't reply at all. Finally I called them after 5 days and they said it was shipped as regular shipping which takes 5 or 6 days.
I am really disappointed their customer service. It sucks!
Do not believe their advertising! The 2 days free shipping is a lie.

Lack of communication and notifications of delay. Even when I inquired, it took them over a week to reply. The order was delayed 3 times. League starts tomorrow and I have no racket until March 27th (I ordered Feb 11). So I canceled and bought the same racket for the same price from Holabird Sports.

I've been buying tennis gear from this place for many years now. They are one of the best online tennis retailers around.

I've NEVER had any problem with any order. They take returns with no hassle and always have great prices.

For a lot of years I've been buying my high-end Nike Tennis shoes from Midwest Sports. They frequently have great clearance sales. I'm very comfortable in my skin and don't mind hot pink tennis shoes, especially if they're a bit cheaper than usual.

I highly recommend this fine company.

2 pairs of shoes worth $200 ordered on 11/25 have not yet delivered as of 12/24.
Very poor customer service for lost shipment.
Notified them lost shipment on 12/1, a reply received with "up to 8 business days to conclude lost package investigation" on 12/5, requested status update after 8 business days on 12/17, 12/18 and 12/20 and no response, waiting over one hour for chatting on 12/23 and nobody showed up, called them on 12/24 only to find out that they haven't yet verified lost shipment with UPS, which is a shipper they chose. Their response is like just waiting for customer to push them or to give up the purchase. Fact is, almost zero progress in one month and no refund or re-shipment yet, despite of several requests for status update from my side. I have made a few purchases from them and had no issue until this time. But I will never buy from them again. Just hoping to get what I ordered shortly.

Amazing and smooth shopping experience. Staff over the phone is very friendly, courteous and understanding as I placed my order online and reached out to them over the phone. Issue was resolved without any problem, and shipping was super fast. Definitely recommended!

Long story short, I placed an order last night and had issues with the free shipping. I received a call already this morning that they took care of it and upgraded my shipping! I missed the call so did not get a chance to say thank you! I have ordered a couple times from here and they have a big selection and good prices!

Awful experience and should never have switched from tennis Warehouse to Midwest for my racquets. Ordered a set of three for tournament play, two were defective (frame with a rattle) and defect with the handle cap end, and Midwest told me to send them in and wait 8 weeks+ for a decision on a store refund or return of item! what am i meant to do for 8 weeks?! Why would i want a store credit after being treated that way?! First and last time I deal with these clowns...

Disappointed with the false advertisements. Ordered Pro Staff RF + more for ~$350. Gave $2.87 discount and did not give advertised Free T-shirt and the free duffel bag from Wilson. Wrote email to service, but got a rude reply "only one discount". I should have bought directly from Wilson and recommend the same to everyone.

This is the update version of my review: The price is good (lower than the other online stores) and the tennis shoes we bought are of high quality. Buying shoes online is tricky because they don't always fit. Return process with Midwest is very easy because they sent me return labels (I can also print the label online). The only thing that needs to be improved is that it took me a while to get the full refund back for the items I returned. I contacted the customer service several times and eventually I did get my full refund.

Found this website while searching for my all time favorite Babolat pure drive lite as a 2nd racket. All the other tennis websites one of the reviewers mentioned are over $200+stringing. Midwest sports had it in stock with my grip size and it was on sale! Got a great deal $140 with strings. When I called to confirm, the CS was super helpful and offered a 1st time order discount. That was Wednesday Aug 7th! I just got it at my front door and it's Aug 9th with their free 2day shipping. What great service and lightening speed shipping! And now I'm ordering my Wilson rush 3.0
from Midwest sports.

Thanks guys for the fast, courteous service and awesome racket!

I have been playing pickleball for a few months. During this time I have simply used my normal walking shoes (Hoka One One Graviota 2) to play as opposed to true "court shoes". It turns out this was a miscalculation on my part, as my foot recently busted through the shoe ruining it.

With that in mind I went to Midwest Sports to purchase some court shoes. They didn't disappoint! Plenty of selection and staff I felt were knowledgable. I found a pair of court shoes that I really like, and I am already playing better due to them.

(covid-19 update) While Midwest Sports does have in store shopping as of July 2020, all staff and customers were wearing masks the two times I was there.

Because of good product selection and good staff, I extend to Midwest Sports the celebrated 5 star review. Thanks Midwest Sports!

This on line tennis store used to be a good place to buy tennis clothes and shoes for my wife. We have spent a LOT of money at this store the past year. The pandemic really hurt their service and their 2 day shipping with a minimum $75.00 purchase turned into 4-5 days or more.
We had our first return recently for an outfit that didn't fit right. It was $130.00. The package was tracked by us and received by them 7 days later. They claimed they hadn't received it and finally they acknowledged getting the item a total of 10 days later even though they signed for it many days earlier!.. Then they said it will take another 5-7 days to process the refund.
I contacted customer service by email to tell them this is unacceptable service and we won't be back. They never replied. They obviously don't care. We're done with them.
Other on line businesses like their are offering far better service.

I will never spend another dollar with them again. They offer 2 days shipping. Then I called the Thor day asking for the racket, they claimed was just shipped and just behind due to the stringing. Finally arrives on Friday 5 days later and guess what? Yes, the racket was unstrung. Take your hard working money and spend it with someone who takes reponsability for their mistakes

I purchased Fila Sentinel Shoes which had 6 months warranty on it.
Their listing clearly stated that it had warranty on it. The shoe also showed up on their "Warranty" filter.
But they denied the warranty claim.
They did that 2 times to me. I will never shop again.
Tennis Express has a better return and warranty replacement than Midwest.
Avoid shopping on midwest. Instead save money, get better customer experience at Tennis Express.

I ordered a new pair of shoes from Midwest Tennis Outlet and received two differing shoes. One is brand new and the other clearly has been used or returned. There two different color shades of white! And it has skuff marks on the bottom of them. 2nd issue of mine with Midwest Sports Tennis Outlet. I won t make the mistake of using them again!

I ordered the new Babolat areo drive online, but never got an email receipt from the seller. They claim 2 business days days shipping but it's been more than 6 business days and still no emails of my order yet. I tried to call customer service twice for a reimbursement but I was put on hold for more than 30 min twice and was never able to talk to someone.

Not even sure if I will get my refund back. The seller is not responding. There's basically no customer service there. I can tell you that I will never order again from them again.

Update: The seller reimbursed me and reached out by email. Updating from 1 to 3 stars.... Overall, service is slow / but you'll get your stuff at the end of the day.

Friend of mine my former student had terrible experience. Please read the text
Avoid doing business with Midwest Sports. While trying to take advantage of their racquet trade-in program I was consistently given wrong information, lied to, and provided with a poor customer experience from multiple employees.

Below is a full detail of my poor experience. I urge other customers to read this and choose another local or online business for their tennis equipment purchases.

I called on 6/13 to ask about trading in two racquets to be credited towards the purchase of a new frame. The employee I spoke with told me that he would send a UPS shipping label and that once the racquets arrived at the facility I would receive a trade in estimate for an amount to be credited to a new racquet purchase. All of my questions were answered, I received the shipping label through email, and I sent the racquets off the next day.

The racquets arrived at Midwest Sports on the morning of 6/20. I heard nothing back so I called the company on 6/23 asking to see if they had actually received my racquets. I was told that returns were backed up and that I would hear from them on Monday. I thought nothing of it, hung up, and waited.

Monday evening rolls around and still nothing. I call again and speak with a third employee who tells me the first employee I interacted with gave me the complete wrong information. I was supposed to purchase a new racquet at full price and then ship my racquets back to be estimated. That estimate would then be credited towards the purchase I would have already paid full price for. We continued back and forth about that was not what I was told, but that's what they were telling me now until she said returns were still backed up and I would hear from them the next day.

Fast forward to now, I call back asking about "racquets I shipped back for Midwest's trade-in program." Courtney, the employee who answered the phone, told me "Midwest Sports does not participate in a trade-in program" and asked me to "show her where it said that on their webpage." I of course asked to speak with a manager because I had the trade-in page pulled up and nothing made sense. This was sighed at by Courtney so I told her that it was nothing personal and explained my situation. I was then told that the trade-in program works with a customer purchasing a brand new racquet at full price. After the new racquets are received, the trade-in racquets are shipped back and the customer receives credit towards a future purchase. Nothing added up once again, more questions were asked, and the endless loop went on.

We finally narrowed the search for my racquets down to the employee who received my racquets, Renee Williams. Courtney told me she was going to personally go down to returns, find my racquets, and bring them to Renee to be estimated for trade-in value. Once she found my racquets she told me she would give me a call back. I thought this was great and that she was going above and beyond to provide the best customer service out of the multiple employees I had talked to.

Five hours later and nothing back from Courtney. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it was a little more than this. So... here comes another call to Midwest Sports. Hear the robot, click '4' to be sent directly to a phone operator, speak with a new employee, ask for Courtney.

Turns out Courtney had left for the day after our phone call. The new employee pulls the file, and says she will find he racquets and get them estimated. 5 minutes later I am greeted with "the guy who estimates the racquets said that we will offer you $15 per racquet." Fifteen stinking dollars for racquets that are $209.95 retail. Fifteen dollars for 9/10 condition racquets that have only been hit with for a max of 3 hours each and strung once. The only reply I could give the employee was "wow... that's pathetic." I asked them to ship my racquets back to me and was told they would be on their way for a $5.95 flat...

Hello,
Thank you for your email. We are very sorry this shipment has not gone out in the expected window. Typically, we are able to make sure shipments are processed and shipped within the day they are placed. With strung racquets, we have been running a bit behind on the stringing service. We do note on order confirmations that an order may take additional time to process due to our current operating conditions. With your order being submitted after business hours Monday, it was not invoiced until Tuesday so our racquet team was not able to start on it the same day it entered our system. Your racquet order has been strung and will be shipping today. This will be processed shortly with UPS to reach you within 2 business days. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused by this delay.
Thank you.

I thought I was supposed to receive this order within two days based on the shipping method I selected????? Not sure what is up, feels like some bait and switch on when the order will arrive? I signed up for two day shipping, and then it appears it takes a long time for you to fulfill the order? I m posting this to your website to let unsuspecting consumers like me know. Not right for you not to disclose.

I order some shoes and a couple of shirts and the pricing is AWESOME.
I ordered it online and 2 days later my shoes and shirts came in. That is what I call quick services. They make it so easy to order right from your home, at any given time I can place order and a few days later I get my packages.

Thank you Midwest Sports,

I am highly dissatisfied with this company. I will never order from them again. I bought a pair of tennis shoes and a month after using them, they are hurting my feet and I cannot wear them. Midwest has NO alternatives to help me. How can a company not want to help a customer??? I highly urge people NOT to buy from Midwest Sports Tennis Outlet.
