When I arrived to the location with my 5 year old son, the MD did not introduce himself and commanded things from my son! He didn t explain anything to us, nor what he was looking for. I finally asked him what his name was and he reluctantly introduced himself. He was not patient with my son, nor personable. The eye exam machine also did not work, with several attempts it still did not work. The tech also did not introduce herself. The whole experience was not pleasant and I wouldn t recommend taking your child here, nor coming as an adult!
I am very pleased with the services in this office. I brought my entire family and they all received exceptional service, and this is important to my Hispanic family as it was easy for the Dr to communicate with them since he also understands Spanish. My mother felt very comfortable with Dr Ramachandran. The Dr is very friendly and professional. I will keep coming every year!!!
The wait was very short and Dr. Ramachandran is very kind and knowledgeable. He took all the time necessary to answer my many questions without rushing me a single bit. I will definitely continue to go to this optometrist.
The doc. is so pleasant as well as his staff. Also, they take their appointments seriously, there isn't a long wait time at all. I'm glad I found this place.
The only place to go for eye exam and glasses! The doctor takes his time with you and really listens to get the best prescription that works for you. The staff is incredible and goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable.

This place is pathetic, what's sad about this place is that the doctor himself is very nice and professional. The problem is his staff they are very rude and don't care much about the patients. It's sad and ridiculous as to how they treat the patients. The place is nice and clean and would flourish if he only had better staff. The staff will not call you back either, they will keep you on hold for hours on end. The tell you one thing one day and tell you another on another day. It's weird how they handle business at this location.

My children and I have seen Dr Prasod for many years. They were born with eye complications and when they finished with their ophthalmologist, we found him. Approx 10 years. He explained anything you need him to and is very attentive. Every quality you want in any doctor. I wouldn t go anywhere else. Last week I had a scare with my vision and Dr Prasod worked me in very quickly. They are truly compassionate and a very caring clinic. All the high tech gadgets needed. Dr. Prasod is a true perfectionist. I have been going to his practice for +-5 years. I feel that he will do everything he can to not let you leave until you are seeing the best that can be. I have gone here for about 10 years. Easy to get an appointment. Liz and desk staff are wonderful to check insurance and more. Not a huge select frames but they are getting more in.
They are great so nice. I made and appointment and they were so nice to make it fit around my schedule. You walk in they are so welcoming. If you are there to get glasses they are more than willing to help you. The staff is hilarious the atmosphere is so calming I genuinely recommend this place.
My wife and I I have been going to Dr. Ramachandran for our eye care for many years. He and his wife have always been both very professional and very kind to us...when we come in each year for our exams, it s like seeing extended family. Dr. Ramachandran always takes time to answer my questions and we feel well-cared for.

Probably one of the best eye doctor in Chicago. I have used many doctors in the past but after visiting Dr. Prasod, it is impossible see any other eye doctor.
I ve been going here for about 5 years now. Loved this place, loved the service. During the summer, I needed to renew my prescription so I went in, got tested, and ordered contacts. I had to go back 3 times because I felt as if my vision was still not the best it could be. I needed to return one of my contact boxes, and I was told I could do so, but when I went in the manager of the place told me I could not. Finally, she said she would call the contact company and let me know. I did not receive a call for about 3 weeks. After waiting, I decided I should call and called, left a voicemail and did not get a call back for about another week and a half. It was not late December, early January. Once I called back, the manager answered and told me that one of the associates would call me back. A week passed, and still not call back. I called them again today, the manager answered again and told me that the associate would call me back tomorrow because she had already left for the day. I asked the manager if she could give me at least some information because I only have ONE pair of contacts, but she said she doesn t know so the associate will call me back. I have never been more frustrated or more angry. I know how things work and I know that things take time. It s so annoying that this has been going on for about 6 months because Maxivision can t call me back ??????? I just don t understand what type of customer service this is.

The reason for giving this doctor 2 stars is the lack or communication and empathy. We found out my 8 year old needs glasses for the first time. First of all , all he said is she has Myopia . Every single information about this disease I had to ask. He did not explained me anything about this condition other then what i asked. My daughter started to cry and even then , he said nothing. The words of a doctor mean the world to these kids and he chose to say nothing. I am very dissatisfied. I had to go home and research after this app and find a way to make my daughter feel better because he had no skills to do that. I gave 2 stars because the ladies in front were nice and helpful when we chose glasses.
Dr. Prasod was amazing with my 4.5 year old! He is a man of few words but made me and my son feel so comfortable. Highly recommend this place, I will be going back for my own eye exam!

Received my glasses with defective lenses. The lenses had a film on them making it impossible to see out of them, I don't know how this was missed in the inspection after they were made. No fault of the doctor. He was kind enough to get my glasses to me quickly after the first pair was defective. The girls in the front are helpful and kind. You will be satisfied.

Not sure how this place managed to get high ratings. But from my experience it was far from good and I'm being generous. The doctor gave me incorrect vision prescription numbers twice. First time I called for a reexam, second time I gave up on this place. Its been a huge inconvenience.
They are always professional and helpful. They are also very patient helping us make important decisions on our glasses and contacts. We are happy to have found this eye care center.

No question the best vision care doc's and office staff I've ever dealt with and I've been going for over 35 years. Most places are fine so it's nice when one can stand above the rest and Maxvision is that place.

One star because of what was quoted in February and what was quoted yesterday was a huge difference. $89 for lenses only in February and $364 yesterday for lenses Only. Last year I paid $434 for frames, progressive lens, anti glare hi index, transitions etc....no amount of explaining what I was getting would convince me to spend that amount of $ for lenses only! :(
