My family eats here every year as a tradition at the end of our trip. It's a no nonsense, informal place to get excellent seafood. I've tried a number of items from their menu, never to be disappointed. Good for kids too since they do make a yummy mac and cheese.

Service has always been great as well.

The place fills up fast and stays busy all day so we try to get there right when they open for lunch. Every time we drive past, the parking lot is filled. One suggestion, create a better sign closer to the road since it's easy to drive right past it at 55 mph.

Mike's Fish Camp was a huge rip off. Huge. For $20+ dollar meals my husband and I were not expecting our dinners to be 3/4 French fries and 1/4 sandwiches. The "monster" crab cake sandwich was less than monstrous and the lobster roll was served on bread the size of a hot dog bun. We left feeling a little angry that we paid so much for so little and decent, not great food. We also left feeling unsatisfied in terms of our hunger. We will not be coming here again. Our first visit is our last visit.

What's not to love about this place? Maybe not cheap, but fairly reasonable prices. The food is excellent. Had a traditional Lobster Roll and it was truly as decadent an eating experience as it should have been. Decor is basic "weekend at the beach" stuff, so nothing fancy. Just good seafood on a varied menu.

First time stopping at Matt's Fish Camp. The fish was good and the brussel sprouts were excellent, but forget ordering the fries. They were cold, hard, very well done and hollow when you bit into them. The server replaced them with a quickly warmed up version that did nothing to improve our meal.

Phenomenal. Don t even think about, just do it.

Crab dip has a wonderful creamy texture with large chunks of crab, and a slight mustard flavor that really goes well with the house-chips.

Lobster Ruben. Don t even question this. Just get it. Beautifully cooked large chunks of lobster claw mixed with that creamy coleslaw on a crisped rye bread. Absolutely wonderful.

Eat here. And also drink wine. Lots of it.

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF) we tend to favor SoDel Concepts restaurants!
With that out of the way, we love Matt's. It's close to us and very laid back - we're typically in flip flops, shorts and t-shirts. The quality of the food is excellent and the servers and management are all helpful and polite. From the perfectly cooked onion rings (the fry cook knows his craft!) to softshell crabs to the the large salads - you can't go wrong. I'm not a huge fried food fan but the fried oysters are some of the best I've had. We like to go in early to avoid the crowds, sit at the "bar" and have a couple beers with our meal. If we're looking for something a little more "formal" we'll go to Northeast Seafood Kitchen or even wander up to Catch 54 (we tend to avoid Bluecoast since it's typically much more crowded). You can't go wrong here.

All of the Matt's Fish Camp locations serve fresh, tasty and we'll made food. Their menu, though not as complicated and varied as other restaurants only means that what they do, they do well.

If you ever stop at the Original location by Dewey make sure to try the Clam Chowder.....best in the Eastern Shore...bacon, potatoes, fresh clams in a perfect soup broth...wow...

Great spot. Found the place very busy and expected a wait. Surprisingly we were seated within 10 minutes, drinks on the table within 15min and appetizers within 20 min of being seated. They had a great selection of cocktails and a good wine menu. It happened to be but one get one for 1/2price bottle night. What a great deal.
Got the camp stew and lobster roll for dinner, calamari and creamed spinach for appetizers...everything was amazing. Great prices and amazing service.
We will definitely be returning for another meal.

When we are in Ocean City, this is one of our very favourite places to eat in the Rehoboth, Bethany Beach, Ocean City area. We have never had a bad meal. It is family friendly, the service is excellent, and the menu, whilst not extensive, it filled with yummy things. There are daily specials that are great deals. We were there on a Thursday and had 2 crab cakes with dinner and slaw for $19. The crab cakes were perfectly seasoned and very generous. Try it, you won't be disappointed. You can also catch a beautiful bay sunset!

Me and my wife ate here for lunch and this was one of the best meals we had in some time. Our waitress was excellent and was always coming and checking to see if we needed something. The New England Clam Chowder was the best I have ever had. For our main course we had fried whole belly clams and crab balls. Everything was phenomenal!! Will definitively go back there before we head back to Connecticut. I Would rate them higher than a 5 if I could!!!
