First time here....party of four and everything ordered was bland at best. I personally had clam chowder soup and lobster rueben sandwich with coleslaw. Very overpriced as well....not worth your time or money.

Delicious food, the best fresh lobster I eat this year, sweet people working here, the place gives you the coastal feeling....I love this place. Thank you.
Excellent fish house! Started off with Brussel Sprout dish (as an appetizer) and then had a soft shell crab sandwich with garlic fries for lunch. Definitely was not disappointed. Will make this a regular visit.
My family eats here every year as a tradition at the end of our trip. It's a no nonsense, informal place to get excellent seafood. I've tried a number of items from their menu, never to be disappointed. Good for kids too since they do make a yummy mac and cheese.
Service has always been great as well.
The place fills up fast and stays busy all day so we try to get there right when they open for lunch. Every time we drive past, the parking lot is filled. One suggestion, create a better sign closer to the road since it's easy to drive right past it at 55 mph.
Mike's Fish Camp was a huge rip off. Huge. For $20+ dollar meals my husband and I were not expecting our dinners to be 3/4 French fries and 1/4 sandwiches. The "monster" crab cake sandwich was less than monstrous and the lobster roll was served on bread the size of a hot dog bun. We left feeling a little angry that we paid so much for so little and decent, not great food. We also left feeling unsatisfied in terms of our hunger. We will not be coming here again. Our first visit is our last visit.
What's not to love about this place? Maybe not cheap, but fairly reasonable prices. The food is excellent. Had a traditional Lobster Roll and it was truly as decadent an eating experience as it should have been. Decor is basic "weekend at the beach" stuff, so nothing fancy. Just good seafood on a varied menu.
Stopped here for dinner with our two little boys and this place is AMAZING! Great place to eat. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and portions are large, food tastes great. Absolutely worth every penny. We will definitely be back!!
The fish stew amazing! With $2 to add pasta. Large serving. Others had salmon, and the pasta with white clam sauce. Yummy & worth the wait. Get in the line for a parking spot...limited spaces.
Stopped in for lunch. I had the softshell crab sandwich (first time that I ever had one) I didn't particularly care for the consistency - but I don't blame them for that) peal & eat shrimp were Awesome!
Never a disappointment. Awesome establishment. Great food & drink offerings. Best fish n chips around, crab balls a must. Staff is obviously well trained ... polite, friendly & very efficient. Highly recommend.
Loud interior, hour wait, watery clam chowder, dry fried chicken, under seasoned everything, kale ceasar salad I guess?. Too Expensive for what you get, find somewhere else to eat.
Great food, great service, about a mile south of the Indian River Inlet Bridge and about 1.5-2 miles north of Delaware National Guard Base in Bethany Beach.
Food was great! Fish and chips was delicious. But most of the wait staff looked as if the were annoyed and weren't overly friendly. Go for the food, not the service.
Never used the bathroom. Food absolutely outstanding! Only reason for 4 stars is the price. Call me crazy and the lobster reuben I ordered was the best reuben I've ever had with tons of lobster but $26 for a sandwich? Yes I'd do it again it was THAT good!
Great service, relaxed ambience, the food was excellent. Scallops melted in the mouth, parsley fries were delicious and the shrimp were soft and tasted wonderful. We will be back!
First time stopping at Matt's Fish Camp. The fish was good and the brussel sprouts were excellent, but forget ordering the fries. They were cold, hard, very well done and hollow when you bit into them. The server replaced them with a quickly warmed up version that did nothing to improve our meal.
Crab dip has a wonderful creamy texture with large chunks of crab, and a slight mustard flavor that really goes well with the house-chips.
Lobster Ruben. Don t even question this. Just get it. Beautifully cooked large chunks of lobster claw mixed with that creamy coleslaw on a crisped rye bread. Absolutely wonderful.
Food was amazing and service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend Lobster Ruben and the Crab Cake. Also had the Matt's Rum Punch and it's very tasty as well. Will definitely add this to one of the places to come back too when I come to Ocean City/Bethany Beach.
The appetizer portions are huge. We got like 15 balls of hush puppies. Calamari is fresh and lightly breaded. Really good lobster roll although it could have had more. If you like deviled eggs their lobster ones were pretty good!
Disappointed! The Caesar salad was made with the ends of the romaine not the hearts. I also had the fish and chips. The batter was thick and tasteless. My Bloody Mary was good however.
I won't go back. The food is too expensive to be so mediocre.
Happened to find this place by accident and I can truthfully say we were more than pleased. This is part of the SoDel family. Food is really good, service attentive. The fried clams were reminiscent of Howard Johnson's! This is a must dine!
Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF) we tend to favor SoDel Concepts restaurants! With that out of the way, we love Matt's. It's close to us and very laid back - we're typically in flip flops, shorts and t-shirts. The quality of the food is excellent and the servers and management are all helpful and polite. From the perfectly cooked onion rings (the fry cook knows his craft!) to softshell crabs to the the large salads - you can't go wrong. I'm not a huge fried food fan but the fried oysters are some of the best I've had. We like to go in early to avoid the crowds, sit at the "bar" and have a couple beers with our meal. If we're looking for something a little more "formal" we'll go to Northeast Seafood Kitchen or even wander up to Catch 54 (we tend to avoid Bluecoast since it's typically much more crowded). You can't go wrong here.
All of the Matt's Fish Camp locations serve fresh, tasty and we'll made food. Their menu, though not as complicated and varied as other restaurants only means that what they do, they do well.
If you ever stop at the Original location by Dewey make sure to try the Clam Chowder.....best in the Eastern Shore...bacon, potatoes, fresh clams in a perfect soup broth...wow...
It was a very nice place to eat I got my stuff in a timely manner I was very happy and satisfied when I left will go back there anytime the food was great
Great fresh seafood, good comfort seafood dishes like gumbo and shrimp and grits. Fast courteous service and good selection of beer and wine. Try the onion rings, they are HUGE!
The word that comes to mind is pretentious! Small, overpriced, not accommodating. This establishment is not a "five star, swanky, sheeky poo-poo" so they should not be charging like they are! Shame there is no zero star.
Great place to eat. Unique tastes as well as old favorites. Great fish. Prices range from $20 to $34 for dinner entrees. Mix of seafood, steak, burgers, etc. Great crab cakes and tuna.
Great spot. Found the place very busy and expected a wait. Surprisingly we were seated within 10 minutes, drinks on the table within 15min and appetizers within 20 min of being seated. They had a great selection of cocktails and a good wine menu. It happened to be but one get one for 1/2price bottle night. What a great deal. Got the camp stew and lobster roll for dinner, calamari and creamed spinach for appetizers...everything was amazing. Great prices and amazing service. We will definitely be returning for another meal.
From the moment we walked up to the door it was a great experience!!Everything was excellent, Colin our waiter was top notch!!! Would not hesitate to recommend and without a doubt we'll be back!!
When we are in Ocean City, this is one of our very favourite places to eat in the Rehoboth, Bethany Beach, Ocean City area. We have never had a bad meal. It is family friendly, the service is excellent, and the menu, whilst not extensive, it filled with yummy things. There are daily specials that are great deals. We were there on a Thursday and had 2 crab cakes with dinner and slaw for $19. The crab cakes were perfectly seasoned and very generous. Try it, you won't be disappointed. You can also catch a beautiful bay sunset!
Food was as good as always. Staff as cheerful as ever ... They just haven't figured out how to social distance.... Less than 1/2 kitchen staff wore masks and they filled every booth (back to back) ... It's too bad, they had space outside to use but didn't.
Me and my wife ate here for lunch and this was one of the best meals we had in some time. Our waitress was excellent and was always coming and checking to see if we needed something. The New England Clam Chowder was the best I have ever had. For our main course we had fried whole belly clams and crab balls. Everything was phenomenal!! Will definitively go back there before we head back to Connecticut. I Would rate them higher than a 5 if I could!!!
