It is a good place to stay if you are looking for a place to sleep.
The basis of Laos is to not hold it down.
It supports you to do what you think, to enjoy the leisurely flow of time, and to wash your mind.
However, there are many mosquitoes, including restaurants and swimming pools, so be careful.
Please bring insect repellent spray from Japan.
Shun like every one to use the Lankan pond. Bo said that staying at Anan, the hotel is the most wonderful place to come, until wanting to chill and lick one. In Gan came to use Lankan ponds.
The service and cleanliness were both good and the garden inside the hotel was especially beautiful. Please enjoy breakfast
Great service. Staff were accommodating. Rooms very clean and serviced. Loved the pool and all amenities. Front desk staff were helpful with arranging transportation and tours. The offer foreign exchange as well. Highly recommend staying here, we will stay again when we return.
Well located in the quiet of the city but not far from the center, this hotel has all the comforts and a superb restaurant both on the frame and taste.
Beautiful hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing gardens. Central location.
Amazingly peaceful hotel within a short walk of all the main attractions of Luang Prabang. Staff was attentive and friendly
Very cozy and good atmosphere.
It feels like it's prepared for one person.
The lotus flowers planted in the pond are really beautiful.
Breakfast was good, and the rooms were in very good condition.
If it's a fault, the water pressure is a bit weak,
It's a little far from downtown...
I've seen many resorts in Laos. This one has got the best garden ever.
A nice boutique hotel located slightly out of the downtown part of town. Had a slight issue upon arrival at the airport as no pickup was there to meet me even though it was confirmed by an email from the hotel. At checkin, was greeted by friendly staffs who upgraded my room but still no apology of the pickup. Reception, Mr.Poot, was very friendly in giving advise on what to do and see in town as well as have a tour of the hotel.
Hotel has free bicycles to use which proved to be very fun. Hotel also has a stunning lotus pond to see while having breakfast.
Things to improve: breakfast could have been slightly better. Also would be nice to have a small room service in case guest get hungry at night.
Overall, I would surely visit if given the opportunity.
Good Rooms, good Pool, Great Service! Deffinately one of the more higher class hotels in Laos. Sadly, we had like 100 moskitos in our room when we arrived.
Beautiful hotel. Out of time ... Room overlooking the pool, perfect, except when the young Chinese come to chat at night in front of the pool ... Staff very very nice. Petit dej top! Perfect restaurant, price accordingly ... In the end, a very good stay in this magical place with pools of extraordinary water lily.
Close to town, beautiful lilly ponds, great, albeit expensive, restaurant.
Beautiful, shady, beautiful corner to take a lot of photos, polite staff, very good service, spacious rooms, clean, convenient location, only one sign.
The staff are so friendly and the whole setup from rooms to the ponds are amazing. I would definitely recommend it if you want to spoil yourself a bit. I had a massage there as well and it was bliss.
So beautiful hotel with nice garden and small wetland full of nice water lily.
There are many luxury hotels in Luang Prabang, but only Maison Dalabua has a Garden of Eden
The name Dalabua means " Lotus Princess " which portrays this charming boutique hotel surrounded by three UNESCO classified lily ponds set in an acre of a tropical lush garden.
Simple outstanding... such a lovely place
The place is WONDERUL it is a paradise on Earth. Great service with english and french speaking staff. Rooms are very clean, tidy, big with awesomely confortable beds. Bathrooms are chic. Highly recommended. Just beware of overbookings
This is for the spa which deserves its own listing!
We decided to try the Dalabau Spa after chatting to one of the people at Manda de Laos who recommended trying it.
The spa is in the grounds of the hotel but quite private. We were provided with tea and aromatic oil samples to choose from.
My wife and I shared a room (which I normally avoid as I like to zone out completely) but it worked out fine as there was zero chatter, appropriately zen music, aircon and a ceiling fan
My masseuse didn t have much to say but let her hands do the talking.
Marvellously relaxing massage - thank you. Highly recommended.
The restaurant is very yummy dishes and the presentation is high-end too.
Very nice hotel. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable rooms. About a 20 minute walk from the city center. One of the better hotels I've stayed at.
Good hotel, breakfast not best suited for westeners.
The hotel designed by the Thai company is very distinctive. The bathroom is made of clear water, with wooden frame, simple atmosphere, I like it very much.
Magnificent place, delicious meal, exceptional welcome
Absolutely stunning hotel with lovely, helpful friendly staff, beautiful breakfasts by the lotus ponds and a great little swimming pool to cool off
Room a bit small for 3. Very nice setting. Nice staff.
Very good hotel, spacious and comfortable rooms, good service, make the room twice a day. And good situation
Rooms are of very inconsistent quality. A bit out of the main town. Ran into a few problems with the staff that you wouldn't expect of a hotel at this price point.
Poor room next to reception. Had to get it changed.
A really nice place to stay! Very attentive service, nice rooms and a peaceful atmosphere with a relaxing pool - great combination
Peaceful surrounds of tranquil lotus and fish ponds, breakfast and restaurant overlook these beautiful water features . Large pool and great rooms, with friendly welcoming staff close to central night market and sort walk to Mekong River boat cruise station. Well worth a stay if you have a chance.
Very comfortable hotel in Luang Prabang with very friendly and helpful staff.
When I stayed the wifi was only available in the common areas, though.
Service and atmosphere is very good. Food is delicious.
The gardens are beautiful and the various rooms with views and terraces must be pleasant. On our side for 92 dollars a night we are entitled to a dark, sad, cold room, on the ground floor overlooking a vague courtyard and the corridors.
compulsory curtains
Traces of humidity on the walls of the bathroom
One wish: not to stay in this room.
trapped not happy, will to leave:
Desperate (French) reception staff return
Airport shuttle 2x more expensive than a taxi.
But thank you for the birthday cake at breakfast ...
Cozy, little bit expensive than others nearby though
I think I should state that I don't think our stay was typical for this place. That said, we were incredibly disappointed. The staff are wonderful, very kind and helpful, the place is GORGEOUS, the food and drinks we had were great.
But my husband and I stayed for Valentines and a bit into the afternoon music started to play from next door that was so loud it shook the windows and didn't stop until 10:30 PM. We asked the staff about it and they apologized and said they couldn't do anything about it. But trying to relax was nearly I possible with the noise so my husband and I fled our room for a cafe and some quiet. We also found a dirty pair of pants left in the room from someone else and gave them to the front desk, perplexed.
For how much you pay I would recommend somewhere else, especially if it's a holiday, as it seems that's when next door celebrates. Oh and the beds are hard as rocks. Oh well. Again, other aspects of the hotel are wonderful, but we were more than happy to leave.
This is my second time coming to Luang Prabang and I always stay here in their Bungalow over looking their UNESCO Awarded ponds.
I recommend to all that want a relaxing experience in Lao
Beautiful hotel located in a lush garden and super well maintained ... the decor is really breathtaking. The rooms have all modern comforts and are of traditional style. The adjoining restaurant serves fine Laotian cuisine and also serves a buffet breakfast. Everything is homemade, the choice is very varied among many local dishes. This hotel is the nice surprise of my trip to South East Asia.
Beautiful, beautiful and beautiful hotel
I was bigger than I thought.
Breakfast was great.
Beautiful gardens with lotus pond, helpful attentive staff, large comfortable room with patio and gate to the very nice pool.
We stayed at Maison Dalabua for 4 nights during December 2018. We had a big room with a balcony which was big enough for the whole family. The hotel is perfect with good location to the Main Street and night bazaar. The staff are very friendly and khom put at the reception helped us a lot with activities and recommendations. We also enjoyed the spa and in general had a very good holiday at Maison Dalabua. You can t go wrong with booking your time at Maison.
Truly a heritage site. We had wonderful service in impeccable Laotian hospitality.
Rooms are huge and I love the rainshower. Breakfast is served beside the UNESCO heritage lotus ponds. The restaurant it (although cannot charge to room) serves high class and sumptuous Laotian food (av. usd50 pax). It is also walking distance to the old town with all the temples, cafes and night market.
The hotel also provided a private van (usd65) to Kuang Si waterfall which was one of the highlights of our trip.
Definitely I recommend Maison Dalabua highly for all visitors to Luang Prabang.
STOP EVERYTHING AND BOOK. I adore travelling and stayed in hotels, hostels, tents etc but this place is honestly one of the most beautiful places I've ever, ever stayed. The labyrinth-like path amongst the multiple lily ponds are so magical with the sound of crickets and frogs, the staff ooze kindness and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We were upgraded upon arrival to the pool room. The room was scented with a lemongrass essential oil candle which was lit every night before bed by the staff. The visit is worth is alone for the breakfast. TO DIE FOR. It's the most wonderful spread of local Lao and French style food. The coconut pancakes are so moorish and I constantly crave them now that I'm home. The French manager at the cafe/restaurant was so incredibly accommodating and was so attentive. We had booked another place for the second half of our stay. We moved but after a day we decided to just go back to Maison Dalabua (and we upgraded again!). I would go back to Luang Prabang just for this glorious place. Don't tell too many people about it though. It's a hidden gem. Go for the massage as well :) You won't regret booking this place!
Nature, vegetation, good service, rustic and very quiet
Well decorated rooms but nauseating smell coming from the bathroom and this in both rooms. Nice pool but cold. Breakfast not very good. The wifi does not work (they just install the fiber and it needs to be tuned is the answer from the direction).
Hotel staff is very kind, attentive. Real feeling of customized service. Sophisticated restaurant. With beautiful gardens and Betty clean rooms.
It was better than I expected. We booked 3 nights and they give us upgraded room. The room was private and so calm. But I deducted one star because some snacks was disappeared after house keeping. It was so embarrassing situation.
Very nice place to surround with water lilies, the room is very clean and the staff are nice.
We will come back next time.
Superb hotel, quality, staff everything is appointments!
The hospitality of the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the taste of the breakfast, and the lovely atmosphere of the whole hotel were all great.
When I booked the hotel, I was able to give directions for the transfer, and it helped me to answer this question immediately.
There is a bicycle rental, so you can enjoy sightseeing in the city without getting tired.
Both the night market and the bowl are within a 5-minute walk.
Detox juice and detox water were delicious!
Vola!!! Love it so much. Feel like living at my DREAM HOME.
The hotel blends well in a lush tropical garden. Lot of trees, lotus ponds and little creatures.
Very convenient location, walking distance to famous morning & night market, royal palace museum, Phu Si mountain and lots of eatery around here. Once you enter into the hotel, it just like you slip into another world, very peaceful and quite.
Service of staffs are much better than 5-star international brands. My room was infused with lemongrass oil burners at day long. So relaxing. Could lies on the bed whole day and do nothing
Super hotel, which magnify your stay. TV wifi swimming pool breakfast (included in the price of the room) restaurant pick up linen. I highly recommend !
It's a beautiful hotel
Wanna revisit and very friendly. Hotel
And it's safe
The facilities are good. It became a happy trip.
Convenient and comfortable in the central Town of Luangprabang
The way in dalabuwa is very pretty the pond infront of it is very cool;p,and the people are so kind also the rooms are amazing!and the morning the chicken and birds cry that makes me want to go again to dalabuwa,it will be my recognition in the future
Very lovely, charming and very detailed place to explore. Pounds are simply wow...
Great location. very good service well trained by Clementine the Hotel Manager.
Definitely a must try and must stay if passing by Luang Prabang
Loved this place. Clean room, professional and friendly staff and very enjoyable pool space. Of the three places we stayed at in Luang Prabang it was definitely the best!
Lots to write about, overall a nice place to stay.will break down review:
Things we loved;
1. The restaurant and bar area, surrounded by a big pond, lots of greenery is just so beautiful. I don't think you would find much better.
2. The staff are as you can imagine very friendly and helpful. They organised a driver to take us to and back from the Khung Si waterfall, which is a 45 minutes drive each way and wait for us for 3 hours.
3. It's in an ideal location, just 10 mins walk from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, so it's quiet but not too far away
4. It's not over priced. We had a 40 minutes massage for $20. While it wasn't the best massage in the world, can't complain much for that price
5. Free bicycle's to use at your leisure, which I recommend for at least 1 day
Things that can be improved;
1. The restaurant and hotel are not connected money wise. Meaning if you eat dinner or have drinks there (outside of complimentary breakfast) then you cannot put on your room
2. The room is nice, although needs a few things changing. There is a big window in the bathroom that allows you to see the bed and whole room. It only has a translucent blind, meaning if you look, you can see the person on the toilet fairly well
3. There is no master switch for the lights and the ones next to your bed are not very close, making going to bed a bit annoying
4. Breakfast is 'ok'. Only option for cereal is cornflakes. Only eggs are creamed scrambled. Lots of local breakfast options which is great for the adventurous. But would like a bit more western breakfast options for those less inclined to eat rice/noodles/curry for breakfast
5. No snack options at the pool. Even for drinks you have to walk to the bar (not next to it) and order drinks to come back to the pool
6. The WiFi is very very erratic no matter where you are in the hotel or room
Overall these are minor-ish issues, but ones that would bump it up in my rating. Would happily recommend and no major issues
beautiful garden. Organic foods. 10 minutes walk from the centre
Beautiful place, 100% relax, very friendly team, personally I will surely come back
Such an amazing hotel! Lovely staff and wonderful atmosphere. Feel relaxed just by walking into the place! The breakfast buffet was delicious also. Very close to everything, maybe a 5-10 min walk.
Absolutely beautiful hotel to stay in Luang Prabang that captures the spirit, vibe and laid-back pace of this charming place. Located within walking distance of just about everywhere, but the night market, Royal Palace Museum and 525 Cocktails and Tapas (highly recommended!) are particularly close by. Also at the 'right' end of town for visiting the utterly stunning Kuang Si Waterfall.
Great hotel, would book this hotel again in a heartbeat. Centrally located and can only be reached on foot.
The hotel room was nice and big and nicely decorated.
The breakfast was great, everything homemade and the Lao bread is really delicious.
Unfortunately I couldn't use the pool because I was out and about a lot.
A tip to get up early in the morning to take part in the monk's march.
The best among 3 stars that is clean and good for a cost of KRW 60,000
Gorgeous hotel in a quieter part of town. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Love that we could borrow bicycles to cycle to town (10mins walk) and there's always tuktuks available to hail (as alternative). Our room was spacious and we had a lovely view of a lotus filled pond.
The only complaints are that 1) they do not provide bedroom slippers (strangely); 2) turn-down services was only offered on the first night (we stayed 3 nights); and 3) the air conditioning was erratic no matter what mode we tried.
All said, we really enjoyed our stay.
Very kind staff. Super luxury rooms and restaurant. Free bicyles. Gorgious garden
Wonderful service. I'd choose this hotel over and over again. Real relaxation. Big variety of breakfast which allows you to try something local. Must try their spa and go for an afternoon wine next to the hotel's lotus pond.
Nice hotel scenery and setting. UNESCO recognized lotus ponds. Friendly staff and spacious rooms. Bathrooms becoming a bit worn out but satisfactory. Breakfast delicious and again, nice setting from where to have meals.
