Absolutely the best store for fitness shoes. Was getting neuropathy in my right foot from wearing a snug size 10.5 Nike (fit like a glove). After two cortisone shots, a friend suggested this store. The professional sales lady was SO patient. Went with the Saucony size 12!! On my second pair now. No more shots or surgery. Never buying my athletic shoes anywhere else!

I phoned Luke's Locker in Dallas all the way from Toronto Canada. Not only did Steve, a very helpful guy, help me locate an item, but he offered to drop the package off the next day at the hotel where my wife is staying on business. Next time I'm in Dallas, I'm dropping by to see Luke's Locker and to buy Steve a burger!

I came here on a recommendation from a friend and I am so glad that I did. This location is a runner's dream. A great selection of running gear and they have three treadmills in the store to let you test out the shoes. The entire staff was very friendly especially the British employee who assisted me. I don't know her name but she was very helpful and patient. If you come here then you need to ask for her. Highly recommend this store!

The customer service was excellent. Sean (or Shawn, sorry, didn't pay attention to the spelling) was awesome. He helped both my wife and I find the right shoes for our feet. The place was clean, welcoming, and now we are ready to tackle the training for a half marathon. Will definitely go back.

Went on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm, and it was a madhouse. Waited for 20+ minutes on a waiting list for someone to get me a shoe only to find out they were out of my size in all colors. Would have been nice to have known that ahead of time. Has a huge selection of clothes.

This would have been a 5 star review if the sales person would have simply performed their job without attitude. I stopped in on my way to the gym because my old shoes were hurting my feet. People seemed so nice there. When it was my turn to be helped, the salesperson argued with their supervisor that they didn't want to help me. Among the things I got to over hear were that I was that I didn't belong in the store, wouldn't buy anything, and if helping me was a punishment. When he did help me, he got shoes that weren't for the activity I do, and told me to "try them out doing whatever it is you do."

So I did what any self-respecting athlete would do. I did a few drills in the shoes. When the sales rep saw that I was serious, they went back and got the most expensive shoes they could, still not the shoes for the activities I do. They told me to "do those things you do in these ones." I actually debated buying them, but I realized his poor attitude probably came from compensation from the sale. I left feeling pretty humiliated until I went to a store on Elm by the 75. Was helped just as much, but I paid way less for a similar pair of shoes that's perfect for what I do.

EXCEPTIONAL service and products!!!! They deserve 10 stars. Ray was so knowledgeable and immediately knew the causes, reasons and more relating to my sore feet, etc. A nearby store sold me the wrong shoe which caused me discomfort and I had no idea until I came to Luke s. Ray is a wealth of knowledge, and my go-to person from now on. I won t buy shoes anywhere else. Thank you!!!

I will be going back to Luke's locker with any running needs or questions I have. I had been experiencing back pain and suspected my shoes weren't the right fit. Duncan watched me run for 10 seconds and immediately knew my form was off and which shoes would help. He was so knowledgeable and spent time to explain how I could get better both while running and through cross training.

Duncan Cragg has been my favorite Luke's Locker Guru for the past two years. He is extreamly knowledgeable and kind, able to correct form and explain his shoe suggestions so you understand the mechanics of the choices he suggests. All of the gurus are professional, approaching you immediately to ensure you've been helped. Thank you Luke's Locker and Duncan!

Great selection of shoes, clothes and running accessories. Every staff member I've interacted with here is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about running. Most recently, we visited to find a new pair of running shoes for my boyfriend. Matt really listened to what he liked, what kind of running he did, and his running concerns. We ended up leaving with a great pair of shoes, as well as insoles and running socks! Definitely a great place for runners to find quality gear.

My foot doctor suggested Nike running
shoes as cushioning with this shoe would
help walking with my significant bunion.

I went to Luke's Locker today and could
not be more pleased with my new HOKA
running shoes ! Had help from very
knowledgeable sales person, Ray. He
explained at length different shoes that
might work with the bunion, pros and
cons of each. Was very, very patient as
I tried different shoes.

The Hoka shoes were perfect. Feels like
I almost don't even have shoes on...three
cheers for Ray. Definitely recommend this
store.

If you are in need of a pair of running shoes, I recommend going to the Dallas Running Company store instead of Luke's Locker. I Do not recommend Luke's Locker shoe store to anyone! Because of a bad experience at this store I got a blister on my foot (not once but twice!) while training for the NYC marathon. Salesperson Sean did not go over proper way to tie my newshoes during my first visit to the store to purchase my shoes. He also failed to go over proper socks to wear, how to properly break in the shoes, and did not go over proper shoe care. After my first visit to the store to purchase the shoes I called the store about my blister and the Salesperson who answered the phone asked me if the Salesperson showed me the "runners loop". I said he had me run around the store if that's what she meant. She suggested I come back to the store. I explained that was not what I wanted to do and asked to have the manager/owner call me. After speaking to store manager/owner Matt Lucas and explaining to him I was not explained the runners loop, at the store managers suggestion and after the blister came back again after my second run in the shoes I decided to go back to the store. During the second visit, Salesperson Sean proactively said he told me during my first visit how to tie the shoes which he did not do and then when I told him he didn't he proceeded to argue with me. He explained to me I might need thicker socks. I showed him my socks during my first visit and he said nothing about this. Then he proceeded to try to get me to buy a new pair of socks after I had just spent well over 200 on shoes and compression sleeves. On the way home I called the owner/manager and left a message for him to call me back. I explained all of this to him. He did not take any ownership for my bad experience or for the fact that I had to make 2 trips to the store, or my blister. He asked me what I wanted him to do about it. My feelings were if he's the owner he should know what to do. He should offer a gift card another gesture for the not only the bad experience but the time and gas I had to spend making 2 trips to the store. Needless to say I will not go back to this store. Spare yourself the same miserable experience I had which remains unresolved. Go to Dallas Running Company or Ft Worth Running Company instead. You can read more about my terrific experience at this store by reading my other reviews on Google.

One of the worst experiences at a store. I went in to find a running shoe and found myself standing there in the middle of the store with no one asking to help me. I had two sales people pass by me and never asked if i ve been helped.
One of the salesman even bypassed me and asked another customer someone if they needed help when they walked in after me. FINALLY, A very nice salesman asked if I ve been helped and of course he noticed me because we were the only 2 non white people in the store even though he was already assisting a customer he asked one of the salesmen, that passed me by me when i first walked in, to help me. He was not very nice and he seemed like he really didn t want to be there to help me. As I noticed the other customers interacting with their sales person, they graciously tied their customers shoes for them when they were trying on the new shoes and brought them several different samples. My sales person made me tie my own shoes and he only brought me three samples. Also, he brought up the prices on several of the shoes and I never even asked him. He wasn t helpful in the questions that I did ask and when I asked if he could order the shoe he was very reluctant to help. I understand that this store is next to SMU and you don t see customers that LOOK like me often! But you still should treat every customer the same no matter what color they are when they walk in the store!

Absolutely wonderful experience. I walked by this store the day before thinking it was some sort of local Foot Locker, but after going home and Googling it, I found out this was THE running shop to go into. I was helped by Duncan, former all American runner who has been helping people select the right gear his whole life. I tried on 4 pairs of shoes, several that I thought I might like, and several Duncan suggested. Turns out he knew best and I found a pair that fit great and he put to rest, once and for all, the cause of losing toenails after every big race. I felt like I got a lot more than a pair of shoes, highly recommended.

I've had great experiences in this store. The staff are knowledgeable and committed to fitting you with a shoe that will work for your running style. I've participated in some of their Saturday running classes and have enjoyed the professionalism and fun they brought to running. I learned a lot, probably most importantly, a good warm up and cool down routine! Thank you for helping me enjoy running without getting injured along the way.

Went to that OTHER store down the street first because I was right there...no one greeted me and I stood in front of the shoes for a solid five minutes and walked out without a have a nice day. Walked into Luke's and was immediately greeted by a Guru with a smile and enthusiasm. I had no idea what I was looking for just knew I had problems! Went through the process and walked out with relief and new running shoes.

I wish they were more honest about the wait times - you can t buy shoes here without being assisted. I showed up today and was told at the door that there were a few people in front of me and the wait would be 10-15 minutes. There were 5 people in front of me and I left after 40 minutes of waiting because I had another appointment and erroneously felt an hour would be enough time to buy a pair of shoes. Seriously, staff people, please tell the truth about the wait time. Also, they can t make an appointment in the store for a future time - you have to do that online. So in short, make an appointment online in advance unless you just want to hang out at Luke s all day.

When checking out, the staff mixed up my gift cards (all of which had $50 on them) and, as a result, gave me one of the used ones back and threw away the unused one (with $50 still on it). What was their solution to this when I returned? They refused to do anything about it, shrugged their shoulders, and said they would call me back. They never called back.

I guess you only receive good service as long as you're spending money... I'm disappointed Luke's Locker. I get that mistakes happen. But if you make a mistake that costs me money why is it my problem?

I was in dire need of really good running shoes but didn t know where to start with researching what shoes are best. Some friends told me to come to Luke s to get fitted. This was my first time coming to Luke s and I was very impressed. The customer service was phenomenal and we worked with Ray who really took the time to make sure he picked the right shoe for me based on my needs. I will definitely be coming back.

My wife and I stopped by and did some curb side shopping for new running shoes. We worked with Matt, who helped address the issues we had with prior shoes, and set us up with the perfect shoes. The whole staff, including Matt, were very accommodating and made the shopping process enjoyable. We look forward to going back to the store for any of our sporting needs.

I bought my first pair of tennis shoes at Luke's and it was a more than wonderful experience. The staff was not only knowledgable, but also very helpful. I was fit in the perfect shoe. They put me in an asics shoe, which absolutely felt as if I was walking on clouds. It was FANTASTICO! I immediately wanted this shoe and bought it. Although it was quite expensive, the purchase was completely worth it. After paying for my shoes, I put them on and browsed around the store. There were so many wonderful colors and materials, I wanted them all! I not only bought 11 pairs of shorts, I bought 16 light weight running shirts (which should work out great for my marathon), 7 long sleeve shirts, and 10 pairs of socks (which I absolutely needed). I am so happy with my purchases. My sister is actually on the phone with customer service right now because she wanted a pair of shoes, but she has been transferred to about eight different people on the phone and no one knew the answer to her question. She ended up hanging up very aggravated. Other than that, I LOVE LUKES LOCKER. I pretty much go there every day and everyone who works there knows me and LOVES me! Seriously people: when you need shoes/clothes go to Lukes! They rock.

This place is amazing. As a retired army guy, I have beaten my feet to death. I didn't know what size I needed to be, what type of cushioning I needed or type of runner I was. They answered all my questions and helped me get the right type of shoe. They didn't rush me or pressure me to buy shoes. They were just happy to help me find exactly what I needed. I recommend Luke's Locker to everybody.

I had an appointment today with Kerry to get some new running shoes and it was a wonderful experience! Kerry was so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She measured my feet and helped me try on about 5 pairs of shoes before we settled on the right pair.
I will definitely be back to Luke s Locker when I need new shoes again!

Ran early morning of July 1st and could barely finish a mile due to the pain of plantar fasciitis. Decided to go to Luke's Locker where Sean was able to tend to me and see what shoe would be best to help fix the reoccurring plantar fasciitis and provide the most support and stabilization for my foot. The following day I was able to run 2 miles without any pain. I would highly recommend Luke's Locker to anyone that needs help picking the right running shoe for them.

very friendly and good selection, but expensive especially when pretty much everything here can be found online cheaper. I go when I'm looking for a completely new shoe and try a few different ones on.Give them as much detail as possible, size, distance, price range, and they will get you a shoe that fits.
