Nice place but nibbling to avoid absolutely! Delicious disappointing charcuterie platter: old industrial sausage that smells of stale, cheese served more in crust than cheese, all in minimum quantity with stale bread. Apparently it would have to complain to the chief tells me the server ... well it should just not make fun of customers.

Very rude staff no sense of commerce !! After waiting several minutes without anyone coming to take our order, we decide to go inside to order. The lady behind the bar spoke very curtly to us "no service inside, wait outside". We decide to wait again at our table, when 5 minutes later we call the waiter who responds aggressively "wait, everyone wants to order".
No benevolence

To avoid. Despite the emblematic place and very pleasant along the docks, the dishes are worse than average: duck confit dry and almost charred, half cooked tuna probably passed in the microwave, gratin without any flavor. I advise except for a drink on the terrace and enjoy the setting.

Its tower is very striking. It is the building where Prince cookies and the old factory of LU cookies were born. In order to preserve their acronyms they decided to give it this name at present. It is currently the national center of contemporary art and music of the city inaugurated in 2000. It was founded by Jean Blaise and is now run (since January 2011) by Patrick Gyger. Its facilities range from nightclub to spa, through restaurants and even daycare. Each year, the unique place presents dozens of shows (theater, dance, circus, music, literary meetings, philosophical debates, etc.), exhibitions, residencies for artists, recurring events and festivals and workshops.

About Lu

Le Lieu unique est un centre culturel, devenu scène nationale, créé à Nantes le 1er janvier 2000.

Lu: A Cultural Hub for Art and Entertainment

Lu is a cultural center that has become a national stage, located in the heart of Nantes, France. Founded on January 1st, 2000, Lu has been a hub for art and entertainment for over two decades. The center is known for its unique blend of contemporary art exhibitions, live performances, concerts, theater productions and more.

The building itself is an architectural masterpiece that was once an old biscuit factory. It was transformed into a cultural center by Patrick Bouchain and Jacques Dubois who wanted to create a space where people could come together to experience different forms of art.

One of the main attractions at Lu is its contemporary art exhibitions. The center hosts several exhibitions throughout the year featuring works from both established and emerging artists from around the world. These exhibits are carefully curated to showcase different themes or styles that challenge visitors' perceptions about what constitutes "art."

In addition to visual arts, Lu also offers an impressive lineup of live performances ranging from theater productions to dance shows. The stage at Lu has hosted some of the most renowned performers in France as well as international acts.

Music lovers will also find plenty to enjoy at Lu with its diverse range of concerts featuring everything from classical music to jazz and rock bands. The acoustics in the venue are top-notch making it one of the best places in Nantes to catch live music.

Apart from hosting events within its walls, Lu also takes part in various community outreach programs aimed at promoting arts education among young people. These programs include workshops on painting, sculpture-making or even learning how to play musical instruments.

Overall, Lu is much more than just another cultural center; it's a place where people can come together regardless of their background or interests and experience something new while being surrounded by like-minded individuals who share their passion for creativity and expression through art.

If you're looking for an unforgettable cultural experience during your visit to Nantes then look no further than Lu!
