I called Kaukauna utilities today about the upcoming rate increases and was given excellent information by Jeff. He completely explained everything and how the closing of Appleton Coated has impacted this increase. He answered all my questions and reminded me that KU is a not for profit utility and rates will always probably be less than WE by 30%. If you want more information just give them a call, they are more than willing to help people understand.

Have had Kaukauna Utilities for about 10 years now. In the past, I have never had to contact them other than to have our address changed. Today we came home to half our house without power...keep in mind it was 7pm on the Friday of Labor day weekend. I called the emergency line and they sent someone right out. We ended up having a short in the line to our house. They were very imformative and kept us in the loop as to what was happening. They had power back to the house within a few hours. They worked quickly and were very apologetic for the problem (like they have any control over an underground wire shorting out). Overall, they made a tricky situation very easy to deal with.

Mucho kudos to this courageous little power company who have indured for decades providing pure clean hydropower to the city, now providing a park and EV charge stations to the Fox river community. The red building in the foreground is the newly refurbished hydro plant. These operational charge stations are likely some of a handful of truly hydropowered EV Charge stations in our whole nation. There are very few places in the world you can juice your Tesla, Bolt or leaf and drive on water power. Wow what a special place and company.

Wisconsin s only hydro powered EV charge stations are powered by these guys. You will find 2 or 3 stage 2 chargepoint chargers in parking lot and nearby down town. Use your chargepoint card or app to get hydro juice from hydro plant within eyesight of chargers. Visit hydro park and learn of the history of hydro power from the fox river that flows north to Green Bay. A ways from 441 to downtown but worth the adventure.

Kaukauna Utilities is HORRIBLE. I have lived in Kaukauna for many years and it used to be great, but not any more. The customer service staff is anything but friendly and helpful. They have an attitude like they are superior to their customers...YUCK! They need to realize that their customers pay their salary. They charge interest if your payment is a day late via snail mail and today the website doesn't work for payment. Constant increases so they can have nice, plush work spaces. I wish we had another option.

I called to see if I could have more time to pay on my bill. They said there was a 10 day grace period and since I'd be making the payment 5 days late, they said it would be fine.
A day after I made the payment, they still charged me a late fee. When I called to ask about the grace period, the rep told me there's only a TWO day grace period?! I asked if the late fee could be waived considering misinformation, but they refused to waive it. Pretty sad considering I pay $400-$500 each month for a utility bill. Not a very friendly company to work with and it's unfortunate you can't believe what they tell you over the phone.

Cheap prices, great service. I love the fact that when a major storm comes through that the power is back up and running very quickly. Case in point this past summer everyone was running to buy generators and all the power lines in our area were running within a few hours.

Had a very minor problem of a neutral wire going bad from pole to house. Called kaukauna on Monday morning and by very early afternoon they had crews on scene fixing the issue. They were very informative and helpful. Would highly recommend. Same day friendly service I sure wish the cable company would take note.
