Nice bridge, always had a fascination with the Golden Gate and walking it was almost a surreal experience. Walked from the side of Fort Point all the way to the Vista Point sign on the other side, with nothing to do there we turned around and walked back to Fort Point. Come to find two months later ...
Beautiful bridge, with fantastic views. As touristy as it is, it's a must-visit in San Francisco. Don't let fog scare you away from the bridge; you can get some dramatic photos on foggy afternoons!
Beautiful, stunning, and amazing especially on a beautiful day. If you re in San Francisco you MUST visit the Golden Gate Bridge. If you have the energy and mobility you should consider walking across. I didn t see Uncle Jessie but it was great.
We visited this place fee times, this iteration we took a boat tour that went straight under the bridge. We have driven over it, walked over it, but taking a boat tour under it was an experience in itself. Family had a great time, $15 per person, including kids and no concession, but worth an experi...
Was here in march 2020 and i really loved this bridge. I kept on driving back n forth enjoying the entire view. Such a great place for touring. Will definitely be back real soon. Thank you.
A must-have for anyone visiting San Francisco. We walked there and it's a lovely (if slightly long) walk from the Pier 39 area. As long as you manage to avoid the mist - otherwise you won't see it!
Beautiful place with stunning view of the ocean. Do keep your camera handy as you will be motivated to take a lot of pictures. Good hike nearby. F you visit this place in early morning, you will have a picturesque view of fog-covered bridge. Highly recommended place!
An iconic attraction and a feat of engineering. Worth walking across to the north side and then crossing under and then up the hill to get the opposite view.
We went on a Sunday evening in mid-August.... It was all foggy and we could barely see the bridge.... Everything was closed around the place... Get a nice jacket when you are visiting... It gets quite cold outside
This place is a must see place in SFO. Stunning views of the bridge surrounded by the nature, the mountains and the water below brings a joy and calm to the mind and the eyes. Good place to walk and spend time with friends and family.
A historical bridge which someone interest in physics should know about it. This bridge can cope with an earthquake very well. Salute to the engineers.
You have to come earlier than 9 am if you don't want to drive around just to look for parking space. We did try it twice but no luck.
Architecture is beautiful. Carry swear shirts and beanie, Avoid visiting during foggy days, as you will not be able to get the complete view of the bridge or click photos.
Very beautiful historic bridge, great view upon San Francisco and areas around it. Its quite long for walking so be prepared, it attracts many tourist and can be crowded. Also it is quite windy up there so be prepared as well.
Get dropped of at Crissy Field, great views from this location, plus you'll be near restrooms and a warning hut (coffee shop), which all are part of the old military base. Another bonus from this location are the views of Alcatraz.
Fun times walking across the Golden Gate Bridge. Beautiful views of San Francisco.
Our family is currently traveling this beautiful country via RV style, and have been RV'ing for many years. We utilize Google to assist us on locating top attractions, tasty restaurants and exciting locations withi...
Great experience in iconic and most popular landmark in all US not only San Francisco.A place to walk, bike or hiking, spend a morning or even an afternoon.
Key attractions in San Francisco. You can take a walk/ bike through the bridge to another side. Typically crowded and limited car parking. Also visit the gift shop and Coffee shop
Henry is an astronomer. He is very excited because he thinks he might have discovered the beginning of a new star. But then he gets even more exciting news ... he s going to be a father!
We decided the best way to see the Golden Gate Bridge was to experience the mystique surrounding it by driving across it first, then to explore the other aspects. But, nature didn't cooperate and fog would allow only us partial glimpses of it here and there during our stay. So like the saying, 'wh...
On 2nd of November 2019, we have visited the Golden Gate Suspension Bridge in Orange Colour Constructed at Vista Point in San Francisco, CA, USA amidst severe objections and obstacles. The hanging bridge was constructed at a project cost of $ 35 Million and opened in the year 1937. The credit goes t...
absolutely beautiful. there are many places to park for free around the bridge and you can walk around the area and across the bridge. definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
Before the bridge was built, the only practical short route between San Francisco and what is now Marin County was by boat across a section of San Francisco Bay. A ferry service began as early as 1820, with a regularly scheduled service beginning in the 1840s for the purpose of transporting water to...
Suggested to visit during evening or early morning as during day time, the bridge appears black, not golden. Night view is also worth a visit. Take a Muni bus no. 28 to make your visit cheap. BigBus etc tours aren't much of a worth. Beautiful backdrop of mountains and sea.
So beautiful place , I get astonished by its allureness. Very happening and tourist place. Unfortunately I couldn't go over the bridge but managed to spend some good beneath.
This admirable and defined bridge of the ages is sure to awe with its immense and raw expression of the American dream of hard work and dedication. A ray of golden hope in a lost and hopeless chaos. A bridge connecting all of humanity across the mighty bounds of the good and bad. A sheer expression...
Been on this bridge plenty of times, the view and fresh air never cease to amaze. Best to rent bikes or walk the bridge. When in a car we like to park on the Northside and walk across. This is a must do if you visit San Francisco. Hopefully you will have a clear day.
Great place to walk, ride a bike or jog. Great views, especially when there is an air show going on over the bay. There are also hiking trails west of the bridge that are also very scenic and fun to walk on. They also have a gift shop on the south side of the bridge and an observatory look out on th...
Always too cold, but the icon appeals to engineers, architects, city residents and tourists alike. All in all, an example in good quality urban life that is inclusive to all modes of transport and still generates revenue for the City. Drag your family to it, weather local or visiting, a good spot to...
Take a walk across and enjoy the stunning views. Carry on to vista point where you'll find more views and some restrooms. You can also catch a sightseeing bus to return and if your lucky they won't ask you for tickets and get a free ride
