This hotel was undergoing some renovations so there was a makeshift reception area. The person checking us in was kind of curt. The rooms were small and the bathroom was very cramped. The breakfast buffet was nice with wide selection. The location was pretty convenient, only a short walk from the metro station. Overall it was underwhelming and I would probably try another hotel if I am in Budapest again.

The hotel is perfectly located by the Danube and for the rooms that have the view it is an amazing sight. The design is a bit old, but overall clean and nice. The staff was friendly. Overall the experience was a positive one. The only disappointing thing was that the swimming pool was closed the day I was there.

The location is right on the Danube River. It is very convenient to go to the city or take a boat trip to the Danube. The river view room also has a Buda Castle and a great restaurant. However, when checking in, take the credit card and pass the card. Generally, the registration is not paid by the card first, but the hotel has not paid the HUF 20000 guarantee fee. The procedure is not the same as the general hotel.

Sensational hotel with a brilliant view from the windows :)
Very comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds. Superb service. Breakfasts - a large selection and tasty. Omelets prepared on request. Also fantastic service.
Fitness club open 24 hours a day. Well equipped (lots of modern equipment).
It's definitely worth it.

One of my absolute favorite hotels
Great view of Danube, castle, Bastei u chain bridge, close to Vaci ut.
Very friendly and courteous reception. Room well equipped. Rich breakfast buffet
Only the music in the bar is a little too loud, because the room contains the reception and not everyone wants to listen.

My stay at the Intercontinental Budapest was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone. The views are breathtaking, its centrally located to all the top tourist sites and several restaurants. The staff were all extremely nice and welcoming and helped with every question I had. I would love to come back some time soon.

I stayed during the Christmas holidays. I paid over $1600.00 for 3 nights! I certainly don't mind paying but I want what I paid for. The hotel is outdated but I could get past that, if the room I was in, had some kind of appeal to it but it did not. It was a suite booked well in advance and apparently, this is what they have for suites. A normal hotel room, like a Best Western kind of a room, split in half to with a rock hard couch and desk on the opposite side of the half wall. No real space in the sleep area except for the bed. What really disturbed me, was the bathroom. It was like taking a shower in a old time phone booth. Plastic slide doors that didn't fully meet, leaking out the sides of the booth, soaking the floor. The sink area was just that, a sink like you would have in a half bath. No counter space and then there was a separate tub. The lighting was terrible and kept blinking until one of the lights went out. The cleaning service, never bothered to get it changed. A manager came to the room to apologize about the leaking shower and said she would have someone come to fix it. The guy came and packed it with caulking but the next morning, the bathroom still flooded. The only thing I can honestly say is, the view was beautiful. The food was great and so was the concierge. Other than that, pay the regular room rate, not the suite rate otherwise, you will be disappointed!!

I also have the Ambassador status and should have paid only for the regular room rate and been upgraded to a "suite" but, I didn't know this. The hotel was only too happy to take advantage of my ignorance and charged me the "suite rate". When I brought this to their attention, they refused to do anything about it and basically told me, too late.

I won't stay here again because I felt the customer service experience in regards to the room issues and the overcharges, was extremely poor. I don't believe it's right to basically take advantage of a guest and charge in excess of 400.00 per night, because they didn't know, their membership would allow for the lesser rate.

We spent close to a week in budapest and enjoyed the hotel immensely. We just loved it's view from our room, it has large-size rooms and very clean. You can enjoy the pool too. This hotel is the best to experience budapest.Location is just perfect - close to public transportation and Vaci utca. Just a 10-minute walk to museums and concerts.

Had an amazing experience when I stayed at the InterContinental. We had a great room that faced the Danube and had turn down service every night (which I highly recommend). After a long day of exploring the city, it feels so good to come back to a room that is cozy and ready for bed. They have a beautiful patio for breakfast and the lobby is beautiful as well. A lot of great amenities.

Loved this hotel. The staff are amazing! Very helpful and informative. Answered our many questions. Take the car service at the hotel, it's much better priced than cabs on the street. Best location! If we go back definitely staying here again because of the location. My fiance also forgot his cell phone in the hotel cab on the way to the airport. The driver parked his car and waited until they were able to page us on the airport intercom( about 30 minutes) He really went above and beyond. Amazing and honest staff. Thanks again

My husband and I recently had a lovely stay here, we upgraded to the lounge and took full advantage of the happy hour and the beautiful canipes the lounge had to offer.
The staff are excellent and the rooms are well appointed and nicely decorated.
The hotel itself is situated in the heart of Budapest with views of the castle district and castle itself, which are just a short walk over the nearby bridge.
As this is a city hotel food and drinks can seem a little pricey however we expected this and accounted for that.
There are plenty of establishments close by where you can find cheaper meals and drinks however given the views that the hotel has to offer it was our preferred spot to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
