We have been so happy with BBMA. The staff are highly professional and they have a really lovely approach with children. I love that they grow the kids holistically and give them the confidence to be themselves. My son loves going every week !

Wonderful martial arts school. Teaches courtesy Honesty, respect, self discipline and all the other principles of martial arts. The instructors are extremely talented and able to teach.

My daughter got bullied in the school by her bigger classmate and she always crying when reach home. After I brought her to this dojo, she told me now that she able to say "leave me alone" to the bullier and also lately able to defense against bullier's hand punch. Brilliant response. Far exceeded my expectations!! I joined the adult program at BBMA in 2018, and I have progressed so quickly in my martial arts skills and gained much more fitness, strength and confidence. I am consistently impressed by the dedication, chatacter and care of the teaching staff. The classes are built upon central values such as self-discipline, perseverance and respect, and are always really enjoyable and practical! It is not just a fantastic martial arts school - it is an organisation built upon fostering characters with integrity to achieve both inside and outside of the dojo. My son has been with BBMA Hornsby on his karate program for a long time now. The basic reason for me to choose BBMA over others in the area was the dedication and passion shown by Sensei Josh when I first spoke to him. For him karate was much more than just a sport, it was a lifestyle discipline which he practiced and urged every student to practice in their lives. It still holds true and I cannot be happier with the outcome for my son. All the other teachers are equally good and dedicated and carry the same approach with the students. Is great to see kids enjoying their classes and learning life lessons along with their martial arts. I would recommend BBMA Hornsby for any one looking for martial arts training.

Highly recommend BBMA Hornsby! My 4 yo son joined two terms ago on the recommendation of one of his daycare friends. We have been astounded by the individual attention the kids get and how the teachers get to know your family, always providing valuable and insightful feedback after each class. I wanted my son to work on his listening skills and focus in preparation to start school next year and his progress has been fantastic as the teachers gently guide him. BBMA also encourages kids to listen to their parents and try new things through the red stripe program. We had a karate and pizza party as a reward and my son could bring friends...it was a massive hit and my son's friends all now want to join. Fantastic program, excellent teachers and awesome, motivating and inclusive environment. We love it and can't wait til our daughter can join. Thank you BBMA!

I can't recommend BBMA Hornsby highly enough. We sought out a martial arts school for our son after he expressed interest over a year ago. There were several close to our house including one at his school, but neither he nor I was impressed with any of them. Teachers were knowledgeable and disciplined in their art, but the programmes seemed poorly thought-out and even more poorly managed.

Eventually I found the BBMA website and we decided to go along to watch. Sensei Josh welcomed us warmly and I could tell very quickly that this place was different. He and the others are not just knowledgeable and disciplined but passionate, organised, genuine and kind. Both my son and I very quickly knew that this was the place we wanted him to attend, even though it's a 10-15min drive to get there.

He's now been attending for exactly one year (happy anniversary!) and we couldn't be more happy with his increase in confidence, self esteem and discipline. Thanks Sensei Josh and Sam for the amazing work you do!

Highly recommend BBMA Hornsby martial arts school kickboxing and karate programs. The school offers diverse programs for all ages matched to individual needs and goals and suitable for all levels of experience from basic learners to black belt grades. Incredibly knowledgeable teaching staff who deliver the highest standard of classes while developing a school of engaged and motivated students. Challenging and rewarding programs. Great fun. Highly recommend.

When choosing a new karate school over a year ago (because we moved house), we wanted to build on the passion our 2 boys already had for martial arts. We wanted a school that had a clear path for the boys to continue their journey. Our sons are particularly lively however the instructors teach the boys to be self-aware and mindful. All of the BBMA instructors have by far exceeded our expectations and continue to do so. The boy s karate skills are precise, technical and beautiful to watch. BBMA fosters a community feel which encourages participation from families. They frequently hold special events such as self defence classes for female family members, movie nights for parents and kids, or fun activities that children can attend based on earning red strips or Champions for Life awards. It s all about teaching children respect for self, others and great behaviour. The time table is extremely flexible and as a group BBMA is huge. I have recommended them to friends living further away who are also delighted. Thank you to all of the Sensei s, Tesshi s and Sempi s. I would recommend BBMA Hornsby to anyone.

My daughters and I are proud students of BBMA. It is not just a karate school. It is a welcoming and supportive community that helps you become a better martial artist and a positive contributor to society.

I'd like to thank BBMA Hornsby for not just building up my son's physical strength but also shaping his positive personality. Since starting training at this Dojo, my four year old has become a lot more social, confident and independent. At BBMA, he's not only learnt to work on his stance, blocks, punches and kicks but also the importance of courtesy, respect and self-control. In addition, he's picked up the skills on how to be street-smart and protect himself against bullies. The other day, when he successfully stopped a bully at school, he was so proud of himself, which further boosted his confidence. A big thank-you to BBMA for helping turning our son from a baby into a little man!

My son has been attending for almost a year. He loves it so much that he's keen to display his moves to his family and friends! And I love the opportunity he has to learn self-defence, get some physical exercise, and (especially) learn values like self-control, respect and personal discipline from the qualified teachers here. Excellent teachers, brilliantly run, everything on time and the school regularly keeps us informed of everything going on via email and their website. I never thought martial arts was for me but BBMA completely changed my mind - the structured learning and small class sizes mean I am never unsure of whether I am progressing towards my goals.
