Had a new smart gas meter fitted last week. Once fitted I was told that I have a bad gas leak (9 mb drop over 3 mins). The gas supply to the property was capped off and was left with no hot water or heating. Called a plumber who confirmed gas leak and went about finding it. To his and my surprise the leak stopped when the boiler was isolated!!

3 year old logic boiler (12 months out of warranty) had an internal gas leak. New gas valve needed at my cost. Totally unacceptable to be selling gas appliances that are dangerous and put lives at risk.

UPDATE: This was an old review that Ideal managed to delete (together with others). DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

Short:
This Company provides poor quality boilers and a very rude and poor Customer Service.
The feeling I had in my calls to Ideal's Customer Service is that they treats you without any care even before they have your money.

Long:

As I read so many bad reviews online, before paying that fee I wanted to make sure the repair would have taken place as soon as possible and in the most efficient way.

I simply asked:
1) What sort of guarantees would you provide that the Engineer turns up on the day?
Answer: NONE! They told me that the Engineer can call in sick on the same day (found on reviews), the Engineer can find traffic on the way to my house (found on reviews) or other reasons.

2) Would you guarantee the Engineer can fix the problem?

3) Is the Engineer going to fix my boiler on the same day?
Answer: Possibly (which is better than NO)...but if the Engineer can't fix the problem on the same day, it could take time to book again (on reviews this gap of time could be a week).

One of the Operators I spoke with, became nervous and even asked me why I was bothering with all these questions!

The feeling I had in my calls to Ideal's Customer Service is that they treats you without any care even before they have your money.

I also tried to explain to the Customer Service that I already knew where the problem was as 3 gas Engineers diagnosed the faulty part to be the heat engine. They did not even want to leave a note to the Engineer and they did not want to tell me if the heat engine is a part "WORTH" for them to replace.

I am now considering to buy a Worcester Bosch. Worcester's boilers quality seems way superior alongside a spotless Customer Service.

Hello. im a gas installer and have enjoyed installing these boilers with hardly any issues untill the touch control came out. i cant really explain how annoyed i am in words. Their way of dealing with this malfunctioning product that should be under warranty is shocking they purely fob it off with we can offer you a 3/4 refund. Their warranty isnt worth anything, they should fix the issue by replacing it a superior product without any involvement by the installer or customer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

This is the 2nd time been let down by this company. Last year had to wait 3 months for a service. Booked day off work, then night before around 5pm informed they couldn t make it and it would be 12 weeks before they could get out!!!! I informed them I had a problem with the heating. They said they couldn t do anything sooner! Jus waited in today for engineer to turn up. When he did, took one look and said can t do it as it s in the loft and has no fixed ladder!!!
I phoned ideal up to suggest they should ask these questions before arriving to work on boiler. We have no hot water or heating and the boiler is only 4 years old. I asked for my payment back ( I had already made) I was informed there was no need, just have a pull down ladder fitted and they d come back out! I obviously declined as politely as I could and demanded my money back. I will never use this company again. I suggest you read the reviews and save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

Bought new build home, has ideal logic fitted, two years old, never informed that warranty was due up,.. Two months out of warranty, requires a 350pound repair, no goodwill, AVOID logic clearly an issue with faulty manufacturing as PRV and tank should not be broken

Very Disappointed, Bought the Halo for my New Boiler and the website had a picture of a Mobile phone app you can use. On getting and installing I was then told to email them for an upgrade. I have now found out after a call with Ideal Boilers they are selling 2 products on the website and only one lets you control the heating. VERY POOR MARKETING, NOT VERY HELPFUL
