Golf course is in fair condition, greens held the ball well but where a bit slow. Only hit one bunker on the 18th and it was like hitting concrete, (played two days after rain). The resort was closed so the clubhouse was a ghost town, quite eerie seeing the dinosaurs reminded me of Jurassic Park.

place is a ghost town. nothing to see or do apart from look at all the run down villas and abandoned village square. there may still be golfing available but im pretty sure there are places that offer better golfing experiences so wouldnt waste your time. cool if your into checking out decaying resorts

It's a beautiful resort yet no one goes there. We turned up and the place was like a ghost town yet the feller behind the counter was too busy on his computer to look up, I would actually say rude and ignorant. Go figure, I wonder if it's because Clives Nickle mine deals or just because people think he's a massive tool? Regardless it's a no go for me.

Was very excited to go play a course that was once the best in Australia. However, our experience was extremely disappointing. It was clear that funding for this once scenic course had vanished. Overgrown fairways and greens, patchy greens and carts that were desperate for maintenance. Along with that, preferred lie on fairways and all bunkers GUR due to poor condition. All of this for a staggering $108! The staff in pro shop were pleasant, but simply outrageous that a course is that price for such poor condition. If you want to spend $100+, then you're much better off going up the road to Noosa or Noosa springs. So sad to see what Palmer has done to a beautiful place.

Don't go playing Coolum Palmer Resort Golf Course thinking it will be like the PGA. Massive dinosaurs and rough. Both on the greens and fairways. Rough that is. ON THE GREENS. Bunkers unkempt and greens extremely bumpy. Clive Palmer can bet I wont be back. I actually had some enjoyment from the dinos after their sounds were blamed for my buddies bogies on the tenth. Na. Wont be back. This course is sadly now rated as Fool's Gold. $80 on a weekday, I recommend Twinnies or Pelican.

Today I played the Palmer Coolum Resort course and I must say I absolutely loved the course. I was a bit concerned due to the negative reviews I had seen and heard, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and standard of the course. Some of the fairways could've done with a hair cut, but they cant cut them every day. Having said that, they did have the mowers out today in preparation for the weekend. The greens were a little slow compared to what I am used to but they ran true. People need to understand how much it actually costs to keep a course to near tournament standard and I can say through several experiences playing tournament courses around Australia that these courses are only to tournament standard for the tournament it self. That includes Royal Melbourne!
I will definitely be back to play again and I will be telling all my golfing friends how good it was.
A very happy golfer who shot 79 off the stick

We had a great stay here as guests of the United Australia Party for their campaign launch. The catered meals were excellent and the atmosphere was great. The facilities around the resort were well presented. The villa we stayed was modern and comfortable. This resort has a lot of potential and it would be great to see it revamped and opened to the public. I'd definitely stay here again (as a paying guest next time).

DISGUSTING! is the best way I can describe our experience at Palmer Coolum Resort. We were overcharged, then twice charged at a restaurant we did not eat at. I was refused a 'complimentary' shuttle service and told to walk (despite being 6 months pregnant and having my hands full with 2 little children. We were assured the pools were heated and told by the Operations Manager than she tested the water and it was 35.8 degrees (and the pool was icy cold and decorated with green scum). One heated spa (the other two closed) had a 2 inch green scum ring and the jets were not operational. Our room was infested with spiders, webs and filthy rotten. There was an open carton of milk leaking through the mini bar in our room when we arrived, the front door jammed every time it was closed and we could hardly get it open again. The food at Roo Bar was disgraceful and the coffee was made cold each time! The buffet breakfast was a waste of money as the food supplies were not being topped up- and the accommodation options make it necessary for you to eat the resort. We paid $460+ per night, and we have received better accommodation in basic resorts. Upon complaint I was accused of being a "liar" by the female Operations Manager who kept cutting me off when I was speaking. I was refused when I asked to speak to the General Manager. I was so distressed by the way we were treated that I left the resort in tears!!! Disgusting (and even some of the staff quietly acknowledged that my options were accurate).

This place is a joke, came with the kids to check out 'Palmersauras' and the place was deserted. Had to walk about 1km from where we parked to the entry with no signs saying how long it would take (or we would have used the pram!). Once we finally got there we find a sign saying to purchase tickets back at reception! The place is a rip off, $40 per adult to see a bunch of broken dinosaurs. Most were covered in cobwebs or sticks/leaves and 50% of them didn't even work. The picnic areas around the place were broken and covered in leaves. At $99 for a family I don't know how you can justify that price, even $20 a family would seem steep. The kids enjoyed the 30mins it took to walk around the mosquito infested forest and see everything but there is absolutely no value for money.
