Huffkins, Burford

Excellent afternoon tea. Shame the shop next door no longer sells Huffkins fruit and walnut loaf. They were fantastic. Please bring them back

Great selection of cakes. Love that you get two slice each with the afternoon tea.
Didn t love the savoury selection for the afternoon tea. Only ham and cheese sandwiches with pork pie and quiche. I m all about the traditional sandwiches. Quiche tasted great however bread and cheese was quite stale on the sandwiches.

The highlight would be the carrot cake. Three layers and plenty of cream cheese frosting. Perfect.

The scones and tea are ok but you could find better elsewhere and also have less of a commercial feel.

Staff were friendly though

A nicely appointed cafe and bakery. Food is very tasty and tea is served the old fashioned way (loose leaf). Service quick and efficient.

Struck upon this by accident. Lovely quaint tearoom. Delicious sandwiches at reasonable prices. Sat in a lovely courtyard to eat it.

Spent a lovely afternoon in Burford and could not resist re-visiting Huffkins. Had a fantastic "Classic Afternoon Tea" for four people. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble for them, the sandwiches were delicious and the choice of cakes was extensive. Already looking forward to our next visit to Huffkins!

We are locals who regularly visit Huffkins, the staff are excellent and the food is lovely. However, as our local discount of 10% has been stopped due to Huffkins opening in John Lewis Chelmsford, we are finding that it is getting too expensive to go as often as we did, which is a shame.

I just finished some exquisite "Lardy Cake" and ice cream. A beautiful tea shop and bakery. I am so happy that I stopped in for a visit. The cafe Americano was quite good too. The architecture of this Burford provides a sublime back drop.

The tea was good and the cake was even better. The staff were friendly and service efficient, we did not feel rushed. Great place to visit if near by.

The best bacon bap ever. Perfect scones, lovely house blend tea. All the food tasted great. Would definitely recommend. Look forward to coming back one day for a proper high tea (& another bacon bap).

Brought 2 Chelsea buns Saturday lunchtime, sat down at tea time to eat them and they were stale. Very unpleasant was looking forward to eating them instead ended up in the bin. Also observed lady serving used her hands to take money then picked up sausage rolls and Chelsea buns with her hands, I think tongs are needed.

Very busy. Serves nice scones and good coffee and the service is very good.

Food is the best and they have a bakers next door that you can get 10% discount off when you have a meal in the restaurant. The cakes are excellent..

Perfect place for a good meal, cup of coffee or a slice of delicious home-made cake.

Service wasn't great and the toilets leave a lot to be desired BUT the cakes and scones were to die for :)

Had to wait a long time for food;
Water handled the sipping end of drinks straws when he brought drinks over;

Waiter picked up for by the tines!!! So had to clean the knife and fork.

We'd had tea and crumpets earlier in the day in a gorgeous establishment in Bourton on the Water - won't be coming to Stowe again.

Lovely tea room at very reasonable prices. A bit limited option of cakes but I guess many want to order an afternoon tea with scones and finger sandwiches. We just wanted some coffee and cake.

It likes to portray a old fashioned tea room, and it does it very well.

Good sandwiches, very fresh and tasty, but not the scone! It was probably a day old and a bit hard. Shane because we had tea the day before at Hufkings at Cheltenham and it was perfect

Brilliant I'm Gluten free and they had a menu for this, just a bit sad only 2 basic cakes were Gluten Free. Staff were friendly and professional. Well recommended.

My wife and i had the cod meal, it was poor, the fish poor quality, the chips were inferior, the peas were cold.

Great selection of bread, cakes and tea / coffee, etc. Super friendly staff. A nice patio at the back of the shop to enjoy your purchases. The tea was properly done in a tea pot using loose leaf tea. Tasted fantastic. Thank you.

I had the cream tea which was amazing. The sandwiches were really yummy and the fruit scones looked, smelt and tasted amazing. The service was really good and friendly and the atmosphere friendly. It does get busy though and often a wait in peak times but it is worth the wait.

The place is jampacked and for a reason! Do go here it is worth the wait!

Was a nice place but just felt a bit cheap. The service was poor also, the staff did not seem to be bothered about much. The actual food and drinks were great though!

Lovely traditional old coffee/ tea shop, but rather expensive.

I tried so-called Belgium chocolate eclair and the taste was not good. I would expect the filling as delicate custard cream with smooth taste, but the filling was just plain cream with artificial flavorings. The shop looks lovely though.

The recommendation was said to be afternoon tea, but I was worried about the time on the bus tour, so I asked for something different when I asked for an egg dish. I ordered a salad too. Both are very delicious! Herb flavor, firm taste of bacon, want to eat again!

Came here on a Monday afternoon and it was busy and I can see why! Had a Burford Tea and I would go so far to say it was exceptional! Polite attentive staff who are not pushy and they have a shop next door that give you 10% off if you show your receipt from the tea rooms. Could not fault it. Will definitely be returning soon!
