Beautiful and welcoming structure in the San Fernandino area. Spacious rooms, good Internet connection and friendly and welcoming staff. The price of accommodation is limited, so it has a very high quality / price ratio for the city of Florence.

This was my favourite hotel I stayed in, in all of Italy. All the staff were very helpful and helped us get into some wonderful tours of the city. Very clean hotel. The breakfasts were great too, wide variety and great cappuccino's. The rooms were spacious and had AC. This hotel is located in a great spot so you could walk to various tourist hot spots in Florence.

The hotel is in a walking-distance of Ponte Vecchio at the edge of the Tourist Florence part. It's a bit difficult to find at first (mostly because GPS maps don't understand that you can get through the parking lot) but then it's easy to get to, The rooms were nice and clean and the staff polite and helpful!

I was booked into this hotel, solo, from 7 to 14 April 2018, and maybe owe my life to its conscientious proprietor. I found the hotel to be clean, the breakfast good, and the proprietors friendly and helpful with tips for eating out, etc. On the evening of the fourth day, I collapsed in my hotel room whilst getting ready for bed. Marko the proprietor heard the thud, as I hit the floor, from the reception below and immediately came to enquire. He called a doctor, who in turn requested an ambulance to the Hospital Santa Maria Nuova. The Hospital, fearing a stroke, put me in a coma for 3 days. Marko took a lot of time trying to trace my wife, via various contacts and the travel agent in Australia, and was eventually able to contact her in the Netherlands. She promptly came to Florence, and received my luggage and computer and money and passport from Marko. He had kept everything secure and in good order. He did a great job. If I had not been found until next morning, paralysis or death may have ensued. After convalescence, I am in good health again. We are very grateful to the Hotel Relais Il Cestello. Geoff Williams

We only stayed one night, but if we have the opportunity to return to Florence it will become our trusted support. Excellent quality / price ratio, cleanliness and comfort.
The position is really tactical, you can reach the center in 10 minutes on foot. The staff is really nice and also available to give advice on the city. In short, absolutely recommended!

Hotel very well located in Florence less than 10 minutes walk from the city center. The staff is there 24h / 24h and is very friendly. This remains of the status of a 3 stars. Not very modern rooms (TV and pillows). Very correct for the price.

Simple, good beds, well located, simple breakfast but good, very attentive and friendly staff. We were able to check in and checkout late and they stored our luggage all day.

Beautiful relais in the center of Florence the staff is extremely professional and efficient, the location easy to reach. Very good exceptional cuisine the wine list. Not to be missed if you pass by the Lungarno.

My wife and I booked three nights at this hotel with miles from American Airlines. When we cancelled our trip, due to the corona pandemic and the EU ban on Americans traveling to Italy, we were not granted our miles back. The Relais Il Cestello chose to enforce their strict cancellation policy and deny us a refund. I am very disappointed that the hotel would take this hard line attitude during this challenging time. Vergognosa.

Great location very close to the historic center so you don't need your own or public transportation to visit it all. Garage car at 20 euros per day. Room with a little old-fashioned furniture but with comfortable beds, small bathroom with bathtub also used as a shower, the non-functioning mini-bar. Very friendly staff is available.
