Forsite Studio handled both the design and construction of our two custom homes, tackling complex requirements with impressive skill. We genuinely adore the final result, but the real standout for us was their foresight. As first-time new construction owners, we relied heavily on their guidance, and they consistently anticipated needs we hadn’t even considered. Trust is everything when you hand over the keys to a builder, and Forsite earned that trust completely. Perhaps most remarkably, they are exceptional at managing costs. Given the volatility of labor and material prices in Austin, sticking to a budget is nearly impossible for most, yet Forsite kept us within a tight contingency while delivering a home that feels truly enviable. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking to build in Austin.

Forsite Studio delivered a truly unique home with excellent construction quality. Highly recommend them to anyone in Austin looking for a well-designed property.

Forsite Studios designed and built our dream home for us.

We wanted to build something truly unique and architecturally stunning in Bouldin. Forsite delivered. Furthermore they did it with some incredibly restrictive design constraints.

This was our first time building a home. They served as equal parts mentor and collaborator. They guided us towards our vision. They let us know what was possible and worked tirelessly to integrate all our input.

The end result was featured in the 2020 Austin Modern Homes tour. We were humbled and grateful to work with such a great team.

Our home has been built for a little over a year now and Forsite continues to help us with improvements we are making. Working with them feels a lot like a partnership; one we are fortunate to have..

Working with Forsite Studio in Austin was a fantastic experience for our garage apartment project. AJ Smith did an excellent job helping us refine our initial ideas into a clear, achievable vision that fit our budget perfectly. Under the guidance of project lead Eduardo Ponce, that concept became a clever and thoughtful design that surpassed our expectations. Eduardo kept us in the loop with great communication throughout the construction phase. The apartment was completed on budget and right on schedule, which is impressive for a build of this nature. We are thrilled with the outcome and would happily collaborate with Forsite Studio again.

We hired Forsite Studio for a design and build project on our backyard home in East Austin. After comparing quotes from other firms, their offer was significantly more competitive without sacrificing quality, making it a no-brainer decision. What really stood out was their flexibility regarding client involvement. We were deeply engaged during the conceptual phase, and they expertly translated our rough sketches into detailed 3D models. The team presented multiple options, and we iterated on the design until it was exactly what we envisioned. Once construction began, we were able to step back and let them handle the heavy lifting; any minor adjustments we requested were handled swiftly and efficiently. They also managed the interior design completely, and the result is stunning—guests frequently tell us they don’t want to leave. Forsite did an excellent job sourcing high-end materials that look luxurious yet remain cost-effective. As someone who has worked with many contractors, I appreciated how organized they were and how easy they were to communicate with; I never had to chase them down for updates. I genuinely enjoyed the process and would definitely call Forsite Studio first for any future projects.

After reviewing a list of five architects recommended by a friend in Austin, I chose Forsite Studio as the right fit for my project. A major advantage was that they served as both the architect and the builder, which eliminated any finger-pointing when issues arose. Even though something always seems to come up during home construction, their team resolved problems quickly—often within the same day or night to keep the schedule on track. The best part of working with Forsite Studio is that they managed to deliver the project under budget.

We stumbled upon AJ’s portfolio during the 2014 Austin Modern Home Tour and were immediately impressed, which led us to Forsite Studio. Although our initial plan was a ground-up design-build project, we eventually fell in love with a fixer-upper in Travis Heights. AJ was incredibly helpful, joining us for the initial walkthrough to help us envision the transformation and establish a practical budget before we even made an offer. He moved quickly to keep us on a tight schedule, demonstrating a true talent for spatial design. His creativity expanded our ideas in ways we hadn’t considered. I also appreciated his balance of frugality and strategic spending—he knew exactly where to save and where to invest. Throughout the renovation, he acted as a trusted advisor while keeping us in control of the decisions. Having heard plenty of construction nightmares from friends, I can’t imagine going with anyone other than Forsite. AJ’s ability to handle unexpected issues with creative, budget-friendly solutions made the process smooth. A solid five-star experience.

Forsite Studio successfully managed a complete remodel of our home in Austin within a tight deadline and strict budget. Using an FHA loan added a layer of complexity, but the team handled every challenge with calm efficiency. AJ guided us through the process, making it an educational experience for us as first-time remodelers. The collaboration was excellent, and they truly brought our vision to life. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend the firm.

My time with Forsite Studio in Austin was top-notch. They struck a perfect balance between innovative design and professional service, keeping the budget in mind without cutting corners. I trust their honesty and will definitely hire them again.

Working with AJ at Forsite Studio in Austin has been a game-changer. They truly grasp how to blend aesthetic appeal with practical business needs. I’ve entrusted them with five separate projects because of their meticulous attention to detail, consistent professionalism, and knack for respecting budgets. As a small business owner, I depend heavily on reliable partners, and Forsite Studio is now my go-to firm for all future design and architectural work.

We hired Forsite Studio in Austin for a complex project that included an accessory dwelling unit, a detached carport, and additions to our main home. The team was professional, creative, and incredibly conscientious, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Their design was so impressive that our new apartment was selected for the city’s annual "cool house" tour featuring energy-efficient homes. It is not only beautiful but also commands top dollar in the rental market. I highly recommend Forsite Studio for anyone looking for quality design and construction.

We hired Forsite Studio to design and build our off-grid home in the Texas countryside, and the experience exceeded our expectations. From the initial brainstorming sessions, their team demonstrated impressive creativity and agility, seamlessly adapting to our evolving ideas. They were transparent about pricing and diligent in managing our budget without compromising quality. Since environmental consciousness was a top priority, they expertly navigated the logistical challenges of the remote job site, located outside of Austin, with a positive attitude. Their expertise in modern sustainable technologies was evident, as was their willingness to incorporate salvaged materials into the design. The final result is a unique space that perfectly captures our personal style and eco-friendly values—and even our friends think it looks fantastic!
