If my meal was mediocre I would not feel the urge to leave a review. In fact this is my first time leaving a review of any restaurant. I not the kind of person to speak up, but the food I had at Fig was below sub par. I have had microwave meals that we're better. I think this place should be ashamed of the product they are putting out. This is the first time in my life I was making a reservation at another restaurant as I waited for my $150 check. The staff was great I don't blame them, but I would recommend that they look for employment elsewhere. This place is sure to close putting this quality of food out and expecting a premium price.

We were there with some other people that can be hard to please and everyone enjoyed their meal. We sat outside and it was very nice. They accommodated our dogs. I can't remember what everyone had but we all liked it. The only thing that I did not enjoy so much was the bread. It looked like they were storing it on a rack outside in the breezeway to cool off or something but when it was served it was cold and hard.

7 pm reservation, 2 waitstaff and they are already in the weeds with too many reservations - restaurants fault not the waitstaff - although our waiter, while nice ,seemed un-trained. While we waited for the waiter to come take our order the host told us if either of us wanted the french onion soup there was only two left and to order it now - so I said I'd have that as an appetizer. Lo and behold I was served the last of the french onion soup IMMEDIATELY - RIGHT THEN - without even ordering our entree or wine (what they couldn't have just put it aside until it was appropriate to bring the appetizers - weird? So how was the soup? (unlike any french onion soup I'd ever had - where's the cap of cheese on top? The only cheese was a small shaving on top of the croton - oh brother - disappointing. Still longer wait time to actually order from the menu - I know, got soup but haven't ordered entree's - yea......oh well. We finally ordered - I ordered the shrimp and grits - OMG - DISGUSTING (I did live in new orleans for a few years- so...) zero subtlty to the dish - overcooked rice and waaaay to much spicy (how much Slap your Mamma spice did they put in there?), gloppy sauce...bleh. My guest had Pasta Bolognese and she liked it - I tried it and thought it WAS pretty good - probably a little too much pasta to the sauce ratio, but not unusual I guess - load em up on pasta to fill em up probably. We shared a panna cotta for dessert - it was reasonably good, but they had to put some compote or jam on top rather than simply let the panna cotta stand on it's own - how about a couple of raspberries, a mint leave? - nope - more gloppy something on top. We ate outside under the patio heaters - that was nice. From my point of view this was not a restaurant/chef that understands food at all - what a dissapointing experience. Nope, nope, nopity, NOPE - cannot urge you to go visit FIG - sorry!

There are so many good restaurants in Asheville to choose from...Fig in my opinion is overpriced and the food, while adequate, was not terribly imaginative. The Reuben, advertised as a "really good Reuben" is just okay. Not enough sauerkraut or cheese, and why not do the traditional corned beef or turkey instead of pastrami? The salmon cake sandwich, chosen by one of my companions, was declared to be just okay too. And a side of greens is just a side of greens - nothing else. Offer a small version of one of your regular salads please, or add something, anything! to the greens. Fig charges too much to be just okay.

Wow. What an impressive place. The salad was amazing, the ribeye was perfectly cooked, and the sauce..... incredible.

The duck was also amazing. I can't understand how this isn't the highest rated place around.

Keep it up guys, we'll make the trip from Charlotte just for this place.

We've been for brunch, and we've been for lunch, and both of them were phenomenal. The place is small, but we've never had a problem getting a table. The service is perfect every time, and they consistently put out some of the best food in town.

Price is not as outrageous as you might expect for such a nice place. If you don't bother with drinks and dessert, you could get lunch for two for probably $35 or so.

Every thing was excellent: the service was friendly from the time we made our reservation until we left. The atmosphere was intimate and unpretentious. I had the salmon; husband had duck. Both were incredibly delicious! The food is very rich and since we were hungry, that was a good thing. I made room for the panna cotta and I'm so glad I did. Today I'll have to work it off with a long hike on Mt. Mitchell but every bite was worth it.

We came to Asheville, NC to go to the Biltmore Estate and came across this lovely Restuarant and it's wonderful ambiance. The hostess was kind and sweet to allow to sit inside without a reservation and Jamie our waiter was knowledgeable about the area and the food and how it was prepared. We are a family of allergies and dietary needs and Jamie and the staff of Fig were willing to help us. We are so thankful to them for all they did and we recommend this beautiful restaurant to everyone!!!

Hands down! Fig is the best restaurant in Asheville. I have eaten there for years and have never had anything less than a truly delightful experience. The staff at Fig always delivers the highest quality of service coupled with the most delicious food. Consistently outstanding, Fig never disappoints. I'm admittedly a true Asheville foodie.

Last night was our second visit to FIG and it was every bit as good as the first. The food was delicious, imaginative and perfectly presented and our server, Eden, couldn't have been better. There are a lot of great restaurants in Asheville, of course, but FIG will be our first choice on our next visit.

The worst most over hyped boutique restaurant ever. The risotto was over cooked
The fries were cold. The Salmon and the chicken had no taste. Just bland food. The caesar salad and the mac cheese was very good. Do not recommend this restuarant. If people frequently dine at this restaurant , then they know nothing about real good food.

I was visiting a friend in Biltmore Village in Asheville and when I was heading home I decided to try Fig since I heard a lot about it from my friend. It was lunch time so quickly settled for Chicken Breast for the main course and PEI mussels as appetizer. The food was fantastic and delicious. I devoured it immediately like I was starving for days. Lol! The price is very affordable as well.

I just picked up from Fig. Everything about the experience was great. It was really easy to find parking just outside the restaurant. They called me to tell me when the food was ready. They were very careful and I felt very safe. I would even feel safe enough to eat inside the restaurant and I have not eaten inside any restaurant since the start of the pandemic. We got the grilled cheese, pasta bolognese, and pommes frites. The food was delicious and priced right. It s great to have a new local restaurant for take out.

We absolutely loved this bistro! Our meal was over the top delicious and our server was knowledgeable, accommodating and attentive. The duck breast is to die for and the salmon is perfection. Overall one of the best meals we've ever had... Seriously... Close to the Grand Bohemian Hotel, where we stayed, this lovely bistro is a must! If I could give it 6 stars I would!

I wanted to like fig, but I can't recommend it... and here's why: The food isn't good enough to justify the high end pricing. My friend's salmon was over salted. It was fine but nothing special. My steak, ordered medium, came rare. It was a chewy, cheap cut of beef sold to me at an inflated price. If they'd have cooked it as I'd ordered, it might have been okay. I should have sent it back, yes. But instead of sending the steak back, I simply won't go back.

Fig has been in operation for approx 13 years... And for good reason. Friendly and more than helpful staff (Amy is great!). Quaint with stylish decor. Food was spectacular. Friday lunch hour with a short wait, we (2 adults) were in and out in under an hour. Unique daily specials and a tried and true menu as well (the Reuben is delicious). If you are in or around the Biltmore Village area, you gotta try it.

Passport parking lot next door that you can pay via app. $1.50/hour and also convenient to the Biltmore Village shopping.

Thanks for reading and remember to let me know if what I shared was helpful with a thumbs up!

We stopped in at Fig on a through trip from the mountains to Concord and man... this place was an absolute delight. The atmosphere is wonderful - a work of art itself. The folks were so friendly and inviting. The food was . Absolutely amazing dishes. We had the tuna sandwich and Reuben sandwich which had us both feeling very good. Definitely recommended for all reasons! Visit!

Superb service... the food was fabulous but it was almost second to the great service. I was able to get in last minute at the communal table and I wouldn t have changed a thing! I ve been traveling around the south for days now and have had other pricey meals and FIG was by far the best food, best atmosphere and best service!
