Last night we joined two friends to see the current presentation "Woody Guthrie's American Songbook." Basically, the production strings together Guthrie's hits over the years, presented by enthusiastic actors and musicians. The theater is comfortable. Located among numerous small eateries, many offer discounts on dinner. We chose to dine at Rocco's Tacos, three minutes walk across the street. With the Dramaworks ticket came an offer of a free guacamole. So we enjoyed our Mexican dinner and then the show.

We attended last night s play, Sam Shepard's "Buried Child" and have to tell you that we walked out at the intermission. We would have done it earlier but we were at the end of the row.

I feel we have been ripped off !!!!

What an awful play.

It will be a long time before we return.

An exceptional theater with an intriguing roster of first-rate productions. Excellent cast, location, and parking. We saw a world premiere of what will be a much-talked about drama then had an wonderful late-night happy hour on the nearby park. A very good evening destination.

Small theater with excellent productions. The actors are often Equity members. Theater is intimate, and it's hard to get a bad seat. Sometimes there are sound issues if you are seated on far left or far right. Back row is just fine. I've seen drama, comedy and musicals here: 1776, History Boys, Arcadia. All have been excellent. This is not amateur / community theater. That being said, it's not New York or London either. But for a small venue in south Florida , the quality is high. What at first seems like a long line for women's room at intermission actually moves quite smoothly. The bar sells drinks and snacks. Nearby parking garage is free on Sundays. Lots of restaurants nearby for drinks or dinner after the show. Pastiche is excellent. World of Beer, Rocco's Tacos etc. I always look forward to see what the next season of shows will bring.

I saw "Long Day's Journey into Night" yesterday (Feb. 6, 2016 ) and it was one of the most powerful experiences I've ever had in the theater anywhere, if not THE MOST powerful.

The actors are amazing. I don't know how they can do that night (or day) after night.

Thank you, Dramaworks.

Palm Beach Dramaworks is perhaps one of the most consistent theater companies in South Florida. Several years ago they relocated from a tiny little space in Downtown WPB, to a much larger space off of Clematis St. Not only is this a much, much nicer space it makes it easy to have a complete evening. One can have dinner, see a great show and have a post show discussion without even moving your car. As far as the shows go they are mostly on point. They will occasionally have a misstep, but almost every show I have seen has knocked it out of the park. If you get a chance check them out, you will be very glad you did

It is wonderful to have a playhouse right in downtown West Palm Beach. The seats are all good and the productions are interesting. The acting has been uniformly good but not always great. Best to look at reviews first. They do wonderful things for the community.

If you want something different than the touring Broadway musicals at the Kravitz, check out this little gem. Top flight stagings of award winning dramas and musicals (with the occasional new work as well), performed by skilled equity actors in an luxurious, intimate setting. And if you're under 40, you can take advantage of the "Pay your age" discount program for a cheap night of great theater. Plenty of nearby parking as well as loads of nearby restaurants and bars for a pre or post- theater bite or drink.

My wife and I have been season-subscribers since their second season: over 25 years!

We feel that their performances are every bit as good as Broadway....and only a 30 minute drive from our home. We make an annual track to NY to see 2-4 shows; we know of what we speak!

A few nights ago we saw the opening-night performance of "A Streetcar Named Desire". WOW! It left us emotionally awed: we were almost in a trance from our connection with the human emotion transferred to us from the stage.

We d give a (+) to the five stars!
