One of the best nights and memories I had since I landed Canada . The best dosa I ever had with a warm welcome, hygiene, and peaceful ambience. I had dinner with my friends and spent 4 hours here gave me the best experience of having dosa with exotic cocktails , desserts and melodious music . Would truly recommend all the Canadians and the tourists to visit the place again and again.
True value for money .

I had never tried Dosa before and I was pleasantly surprised. It had a depth of South Indian spice with depth and quality. It was wrapped in what seemed like a Indian pancake with side sauces including a coconut. Overall very good, but I would have liked to try a sampler plate to experience more of the menu.

One of the best dining-out experiences I've had in Vancouver. The food is delicious, and the portions, generous. But above that, it's the service that is offered. The hospitality of the manager and of the serving staff exceeds expectations, especially Anu. I arranged for a special birthday dinner for my partner, and the team at the restaurant remembered who we were, addressed us by name, and brought out flowers to make the birthday dinner a real treat. I highly recommend Davie Dosa not just because of the food but also because of the hospitality and level of service.

Over rated and under staffed! We waited for an hour for food. In the meanwhile , the staff did not even come to tell us the food was going to be late or ask us if we wanted to order more drinks. The food was just ok- nothing to write home about. When the food came, we received no cutlery and had to ask for that too! Sadly, not a good experience. I understand that the restaurant is busy , but at least offer good service to your customers while they wait !

We tried the medu vada and masala dosa, idli chutney, coffee and all were delicious. We had our friends with us who have small kids and the owner made sure they were happy at all time .Was so busy eating that forgot to take pics. Will definitely recommend if you are in Vancouver.

My first time having a dosa... loved every bite!!! Lovely chat with owner and fabulous serving staff made for a very personable visit. If you are looking for a taste experience that is really delectable, this is your place. Reasonably priced and I will definitely be back! We were missing dosas after our cruise and Alaska tour. This place fulfilled our longing for dosas. It was very tasty and the people were good. Very good service.

I am fairly new to the west end. I just recently acquired a job in the area. I walk past this place every day several times so I gave it a try for some birthday appys and a couple beers. The food was fabulous as well as the service. Small restaurant with a big heart. This is a place I will be visiting on a regular basis.

The best place to have Indian food in Vancouver !!! Its sooo delicious, I'm from Chennai and I love Dosa. This restaurant has the best south Indian Dosas. Their sambar and chutney gives me the chills and reminds me of Saravana Bhavan in Chennai. Good work team ! Keep it up

The vada is too garlicky.. Ateast for my tasting .. the dosa's itself are good.. but I have been here a few times and the dosa's have been a hit or a miss.. sometimes they are really good.. and sometimes they have been just ok..
The Gulab Jamun were cold.. so that's not the best experience

Food is delicious, not so spicy, not so mild. Ordered veg biryani and cheakpease curry which comes with dosa and rice. It would be good if they have free sambhar with dosa! I am editing the review. The owner was so nice, during my second visit, he offered free sambhar. Since we are new to the city, he gave guidance about different scenic areas. I will go there again. Today is my 4th time eating here in last 10 days!! Music is Soo calm and good.

I am highly disappointed with the staff working for this company.
Food was so amazing i was having a great time as I was having a long day at work.
But all my tastebuds were murdered because of your loving server who dont even understand what basic customer service is maybe he dont even know how to treat a normal human being.
Honestly I never loose my patience but he was so rude to me like hes doing a favour or something .

I would love to give you guys 5 stars if you train your servers with a customer service training .
Hope you will take this seriously but your food is seriously good keep up good work . Cheers

We came in last night with my partner for late dinner. Service was great but most importantly the food was amazing. Me and my partner are big fans of southern indian food and we can tell this place offers the real deal.
We are happy for having them on the West End. We shall be back!

Dosa was so delicious and customer service was also excellent. We are planning to have our partiesi from here onwards. I come here often from Surrey to have this best delicious meal from Davie Dosa Company. I recommend to all my friends and families come and try so that you know what you are missing.

I went to Davie Dosa co. with my friends when we were coming from college. Me and my friends enjoyed a lot there and had a good conversation with Sharv the owner of the restaurant while waiting for my order and they served food with great smile.
Butter chicken dosa and Biryani was so delicious and all time my favourite Mango Lassi.
The ambience of restaurant and staff is so cool.
Thanks guys(chef: samy) for serving delicious food, i am gonna save this place in my fav. places.

Authentic taste of South Indian food. As someone originally from South India with a lot of exposure to the food throughout my life, I found myself quite enjoying the dosa ad Davie Dosa. The owner and staff are very hospital and friendly, and the ambience and music on the day I visited were very calming and added to my experience.

Everything we ordered was way too salty. The concept of a la cart is different. If you order curry, it will be served with small bowl of rice and appam (uthappam without veggies on top). There was no chutney for the appam. Flat bread or roti have to be ordered separately. The servings are small and not enough for 1 person who is really hungry or whose diet is good. Not impressed. Two stars are for the service.

We were two students from Ontario visiting Vancouver for the first time. We were fortunate enough to find this place which serves amazing south Indian food! I went back three times to eat their 'Rasam' and 'Dosa' within a span of ten days. The owner is a really friendly person and offered great service to us. I absolutely love this place. MUST TRY if you love Indian food as well as some authentic spicy dishes. In my opinion, the only reason why this place might get a few bad ratings is because of how AWESOME they are! and not everyone appreciated it. Thank you Davie Dosa for making our trip memorable!

Opening the Uber Eats delivered package it looked small in portion, but I thought the food maybe good so quantity can be less. Half cooked thick rubbery paratha with overcooked beef and chicken curry (previously frozen?) was not something expected from a vancouver restaurant. Maybe they good for their Dosa, but why would you sell something if you are not good at, or why would you serve food that is not cooked fresh.

We recently had lunch there with family. We were served rotten chutney and uncooked medhu bada. We notified staff about rotten chutney. No apologies from staff other than removing it from plate. Even otherwise I didn t like dosa and Sambhar. Also serving size especially that of sambhar was very small for the price. I am never going there again.

Update: owner hurting himself by leaving unapologetic response. It s clear from other reviews as well that other people are having bad experiences recently.
