I highly recommend this place as one of the best south Indian restaurants in Vancouver serving delicious chicken wings and fish pakora. I visited the place along with my friends today, I loved the ambiance and the seating especially beside the big window steals the lime light. Though there is a delay in serving the food we will not even notice it as the place creates a great atmosphere for spending some quality time. Its worth a wait for the mouth watering food and worth visiting to this place.

Davie Dosa Company was worth the visit because the HOUSE SPECIAL SPICED MASALA was prepared beautifully. It was prepared with crunch and texture, and the service was wonderful with genuine warmth. My taste buds were so happy, that I ordered some dessert(carrot halwa)! I will definitely be back again, before heading back to Seattle! Now I am having flashbacks of my visit to Mumbai and Goa.

We ordered quite a few dishes from uber today for $40. The quantity was very less and the quality of the food was worst. Please never ever order from this place. They give uncooked food. I ordered Manchurian which came out as a uncooked cauliflower. The cauliflower was also not fresh and had stains. The naan were so bad. Worst experience ever.

I've never had a Dosa before and it's definitely worth trying. It's very tasty, the lamb inside was soft and tender and I especially like the coconut sauce. I can't comment on how this Dosa compares to others since this is my first, but if you've never had one, I recommend coming here and trying it!

These people know what they're doing, hands down!

I walk in quite often now, Kinda became a regular since my arrival in vancouver a couple weeks back. Everytime I am welcomed with smiles, good conversion and delicacies from my home, forcing me to write my first ever review....But I know these people have earned those 5stars!

Am from south India and so are these people ....i just moved to vancouver and this was my first stop in vancouver and i know that in my stomach that it was the best decision so far! It's not too pricey for a fine dining ambience in downtown vancouver per se. It's an open kitchen so you can pretty much see what's going on in there and it looks clean and classy. They welcome you like family and I've had long chats with the owner of the restaurant who's also the Bartender (gentleman fixes the perfect drinks )

The food, I've had almost all the dosa's they serve, because everyday they have a special dosa on a discounted price and it's different everyday! Every dosa is served fresh, cooked to a perfect crispy crust which breaks in your mouth like crackers and the meat is tender and flavourful. Am not a fan of spicy food, so i had to ask to bring down the heat before i ordered the first time and i was served exactly what i wanted, every time after that, never had to ask twice. Excellent service. The appetizers were crisp and were made how it should be made. I recommend the house desserts because they're delicious. I've had talks with the chef('s) and i can vouch for the authenticity of the taste because they simply know how it is made the original way!

Was about to go across the street to Davie Dosa & Currie and they were closed, apparently due to health inspection issues. So ended up here. So glad I did because the dosas turned out to be the best I ve ever had in the city. Was very well-made, great ingredients.

The owner was charming, very caring and attentive.

There are people on here who are giving fake reviews. If anyone gives less than 4-stars they probably haven t even been here.

Best Indian, atmosphere and service in the city without a doubt.

Just came back from having an amazing experience at Davie Dosa Company my first visit here. I was excited to try this place after hearing about it a few months ago. The first dosa spot downtown exciting!

We were welcomed by a very friendly owner, Saravanan who was very courteous and helpful start to finish. I ordered the Fish Dosa and my friend ordered the Cauliflower Dosa - both were a 10/10. The sambar was the best I've ever had and both the chutneys and sambar were of generous portions. The chef even came out to greet us and check to see how the food was tasting. I was thoroughly impressed by both Chef Leveil and Saravanan, you can tell they have a true passion for food.

Homestyle, healthy and delicious. I cannot recommend Davie Dosa Company enough and can't wait to try more of their amazing flavors.

Highly, highly recommended.

Why would people give this place 4.4 rating?
We ordered Medhu Vada and dosa and was surprised at the first bite. Neither was cooked well and coconut chutney and sambar was just lifeless - no smell of coconut and sambar was dilute.

It's a very average place with average food.
Location is good since it's pretty close to Stanley park and English bay beach, but that's the only highlight of this place.
We ordered a dosa, uttapam, rasam and gajar halwa.
I don't recommend the halwa at all, since definitely it wasn't cooked fresh, they didn't even bother to warm it up well
Dosa and uttapam had a sour note to it, sambhar had some rotten ingredient in it, rendering it inedible. Rasam was the only thing I enjoyed here.
I don't recommend this restaurant very highly.

Neighbourhood Gem
We ve tried the pakoras, samosa, dosas and briyanis. All great. Spiced wonderfully. Portion is great too. You can take some home but you will most likely eat it all there. Reasonable prices compared to others on the strip.
The owner and his staff are wonderful, friendly, warm and accommodating. I also love that they play awesome soft jazz while we are dining there.
We will keep going back for sure.
Welcome to the hood!

Wow!!! Hard to find authentic dosas when you grew up on the mean streets of Bangalore and dosas were your bread and butter! This place is awesome. Also perfect for date night with the decor, dim lighting and chill jazz music. The have a full bar as well and weekly specials. We had the cauliflower Manchurian and a couple of masala dosas and they were delicious. The staff here are super friendly and ready to help with suggestions if this cuisine is new to you. With the closed tables they were really Covid safe too. Get a dosa now, thank me later.

You are in Vancouver and you want to try Indian food, you cant miss the most authentic place "Davi Dosa". It's been a year now I am visiting this place, I strongly believe that they are carrying the southern Indian food tradition. You can't miss the Dosa & idle and Indian beer .

Are we allowed to give ratings in minus !
Ridiculous customer service ever seen
They Don t even know how to talk with a customer.
We ordered one manchurian and we found that with very less quantity and we asked them is it full plate.
They replied should I bring you the big container for that with proper gestures
That was not something cool if he thought he was tryin to do so

If it was up to me i would give 0 stars. These guys are giving dosa curry(sambar) in the name of soup. The masala dosa was over cooked. The "65 chicken" was way too salty and i hated it. I would be okay with waiting for an hour if the food was decent enough (it wasnt). It looked like 65 chicken was holded and warmed up again for the plate. Sorry for a bad review the but the kitchen staff has a lot to work on.

Davie Dosa is an exceptional restaurant! The quality and flavour of the dishes are outstanding. Truly a crown jewel in the Davie street area. Their buttery curry cottage cheese dosa sends me to my happy place every time. You can tell that they use the best ingredients in their well-balanced dishes...one of my favourites.
