This is THE top shop for gifts of all kind. Have a friend who misses NC? There's a sticker/cheap/expensive/unique gift for them. Did a friend just have a baby and you need a highbrow book? They've got that, too! Super friendly staff and just about anything you could ever want in a gift shop. The only thing you have to worry about it spending too much on the adorable stock, including a huge rack of locally-inspired (think biking and maps) tees.

Deco is awesome. It features tons of local crafts as well as items from national brands. If I had to sum it up, I would say it is like a high end Spencer's Gifts - with class. That's really doesn't do it justice, though. Whether you are looking for a last-minute card, housewarming gift, something for a tyke, or a Holly Aiken bag, this is the place to go. Seriously, whenever I am at a loss for a gift, it is the first place I think about.

I was so happy when i realized Deco had moved and expanded instead of just disappearing from their former location downtown. I love sending handwritten letters and the card selection here is great for fellow fans of epistolary arts. Even better, this store is supporting local artists and crafters by selling their creative wares. I really love some of the earrings here and find them reasonably priced. Yes, there is expensive stuff in the store that i would never buy, but different people have different tastes, and it's nice to see a variety of unique and colorful items to please the variety of people drawn to fun and funky housewares, decor, and accessories. Staff is friendly and helpful, as well.

This is a great store to by a gift for someone or to treat yourself. There's an awesome variety of currated items, many of which are made locally in NC or by small businesses. The staff is friendly, helpful and has a great sense of humor. It's always a pleasant shopping experience.

adorable little shop with all kinds of treasures! the prices were pretty reasonable for most things. the staff wasn't super friendly, but I like shopping alone so that didn't bother me much. lots of local and hand crafted items which I loved! it would be a great place to shop for birthday gifts. they also had an awesome selection of baby items! parking wasn't terrible considering we stopped on a weekend, it might be a bit more tricky on a weekday.

Expensive for what? Because rent downtown is expensive? There are cheaper lands in the city. Poor excuse and poor use of downtown location for VERY overpriced souvenirs and trinkets. Do not waste your time unless you are rich and don't know what to do with your money. It was a t shirt in there for like $45

It is always a treat shopping at Deco. And, their gift cards are always so appreciated. I love supporting this amazing, locally owned business. I enjoyed a shopping trip with my teenage son this weekend and we both had a great time. We found cool and fun things like puzzles, posters and books. I didn't know Ramen post-its were a thing. Now I do, and they are on my list of must-haves. The jewelry and Holly Aiken bags are so cool and stylish. Oh, and the safety protocols at Deco make me feel so comfortable. I have not been shopping anywhere else during the pandemic. GO TO DECO

Deco on Salisbury Street in Raleigh is a cool store with many different and unique items. This is a great place to get gifts for just about anyone on you list. I was impressed with the selection of items that they had on display. I was able to find multiple gift items and almost got a couple of more items that I put down at the last minute. The staff here is laid back and cool and friendly. Great shopping experience here.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I was looking for a "gift shop" and search results had this place listed. It was a gift shop, but they were outrageously overpriced for an abundance of below average merchandise! Do yourself a favor a price check items that can be sold elsewhere, example: books, games, toys and even some home decor and kitchen novelties. We were interested in a book, searched for it on Amazon and found from another seller. It was literally 1/2 the price!!! As for the "handmade" items, to each their own, but there was plenty that looked like it came from a 1st grade art class but had Mona Lisa pricing. Be forewarned if you have a sensitive sniffer. Some of the candles and spa-like items actually smelled like they were sitting there since the 1970's and had an offensive dank musty smell. The only thing I left with was a headache and queasy stomach.

Updated to respond: Interesting response. You should check your inventory again, because the pillow with Raleigh imagery on it was absolutely $199, of this I am sure. I don't have multiple accounts nor am I making multiple 1 star reviews, and it speaks a lot a out you that this is your first reaction to a few 1 star reviews. When you run an overpriced store, complaints about price are to be expected and that's what I'm seeing. I'm not 'angry' at all, but I am disappointed in the prices you charge in the location you're at. You should move to Cameron Village or North Hills where this sort of thing is more expected.
I just read your responses to the other 1 star reviews. Sorry, but those are ridiculous responses and yes you are wrong. Perhaps you should take accountability for the fact that you run an extremely overpriced store instead of blaming all the 1 star reviews on "one person posting under multiple usernames". That's quite an accusation. Do you really think it so far outside the realm of possiblity that more than 1 person finds your overpriced store....overpriced? Really?

Pointlessly expensive. Stores like this are annoying. A $200 pillow that was mass produced using a printing machine. Any reasonable store would sell it for $40 or 50. It was like that all over the store. What a waste of a prime downtown location which could attract all kinds of foot traffic and pedestrian traffic that downtown Raleigh so desperately needs...stores like this absolutely ruin downtown, seriously. Just attended the ribbon cutting for their new location - the store is very spacious and beautiful! Has lots of items to decorate your home, many sections are styled by color. They have a good selection of books and a children s section in the back with a kids tent set up for them to play in. This is the best shop to go to when shopping for a gift - you will definitely find something unique and trendy!
