Had an unreal experience with Carli Fence. Made an appointment for 2pm. Received a single call at 11:30 which I missed while in a meeting. No voicemail, no follow up call, nothing. The person decided to not show up. I called the office at 2:30 asking for an update and said he was likely stuck in traffic and would call me back. Nothing. Called back and found out he had canceled on me.

I called him back directly to ask for the reason for automatically cancelling. Said he "knew nothing about it" and was extremely inappropriate with his tone. Hung up on me.

Terrible experience and lost a day at work.

The customer service of Carli Fence is lacking quality and professionalism. While on the phone, I was treated as incompetent when I did not have a phone number and address on hand. At the end of a conversation, I was told "why don't you call back another day. I have two others waiting on hold." After directly contacting the company about my complaint, the issue was ignored. Their response was "all customers are treated equally" but the phone call proved otherwise. I can't speak regarding the quality of their products but the customer service led me to reach out to competitors with much better luck.

Carli installed a fence around my entire property. When I bought this home it had an existing fence in the front (installed by them) and I worked with Tom to install a privacy fence for the back. I found Tom to be responsive and helpful from the coordination issues that arose with the concrete pour and the fence install to additional work to extend the side fences He even expertly dealt with my rude neighbor. The people who work for Carlie were respectful and polite and communicated any issues they encountered during the install. I also received quotes from 3 different fence contractors and found carli to have the best price point. The photo is the fence 2 years after the install, still looks beautiful!

Carli just finished installing a 6-foot cedar privacy fence with gate at my home in Somerville. They did an absolutely beautiful job - high quality materials and perfectly installed and finished! The company owners and crew were courteous, timely, and cleaned up after themselves. Given the quality, I was very satisfied with the price-value I received. Highly recommended!

And - for folks who care about *longstanding & local* - this is a family business now into its 3rd generation - based in Medford but with deep Somerville roots. I see their quality work around town, and know they will stand by their job.

Worst place ever and they are complet a$$ holes harass you on a daily basis if you work there and they screw people on prices don't ever go to this company love Justin Pedro

Can't say they have the best personalities, but after a year I'm really happy with the fence they installed. I can't say that I was pleased a year after the last company did a bad job.

Two (three?) three years now and the fence is still as straight and solid as the day it was installed, and the cedar is getting that nice old patina without a sign of loose timbers.

Took care of a fence replacement even during winter, and were super responsive when we needed follow-on adjustments

We ordered a majestic steel fence for our backyard. We couldn't be happier with the quality of the fence, the speed of installation and the beauty of the end product. Tommy came out and listened to our ideas and helped create a more aesthetic plan for the location of our fence borders. Abe and Tommy are the best workers and were perfectionists with making the fence level even with our weird slope in our yard. They worked tirelessly and put up the beautiful fence within a day. It completely transformed the look of our property and looks so great! Tommy even fashioned a gate for us for around our garden that wasn't in the original plan. We can now keep our kiddos safe in a beautifully enclosed back yard. I would recommend them to everyone! Wonderful family business.

COMPLETELY unprofessional.

Somebody close to me did a working interview for him for a day (10 hours) and he refused to pay him because of a small scratch that ended up on his car while loading material into it (he never signed anything saying he would be responsible). It took him threatening court to pay him after week of unresponded emails.

If he s like that with his employees I would hate to see how he s like with his customers. Wouldn t recommend.

DO NOT TRUST! They do work without permission. I have video of the guy using my new truck as a ladder and his tool bench. Very shady company! And shoddy work.

We wanted to enclose our backyard, so we had a white vinyl fence installed by Carli Fence this summer. From the beginning to the end of the process we had a great experience. The owner, Tom came right out to give us a quote. When some of the parts were a little delayed because of COVID shipping delays, he was communicative and apologetic. When the time came to install the fence, the work crew banged it out. They worked clean and quiet, and did an excellent job on the fence. The day it went up, we had a bad microburst storm that wreaked havoc on the trees in our town. There were 100 year old trees, and branches down everywhere. It wasn t even predicted in the weather forecast, and came out of nowhere. The fence stood perfect after that storm, which proved it was installed the right way, and will last. A couple of crew members came back a second day to do some finishing touches and clean the fence. Overall we are thrilled and love the fence, and would recommend Carli Fence.
