This Austin family-owned shop is an incredible jewel! You can spend hours in the showroom looking at lamps, shades, chandeliers, finials, etc. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made finding the shades for our lamps a breeze!. The lamps we selected were restored beautifully.
It takes a while to get these gems, but it is well worth the wait!

A one-of-a-kind place. Staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I needed a switch that the hardware stores don't carry and sells on Amazon for four times what these ladies charged. I will highly recommend this place to anyone in need of shades, custom lamps, repairs, or parts.

Very very happy to have found this place. After visiting a different lamp store in Austin who told me I had to completely rework my lamp and acting like it was garbage basically we went to D&W and upon entering she (I forget her name-sorry!!!) was like sure I can get you all fixed up- we just need to this than that and bam- our lamp was fixed and perfect and we got a beautiful shade (times two). We had a shade that came with the lamp that set lower (apparently european?) and we needed this little ring then a harp and it made it easy to fit regular lampshades. She was professional, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. Will recommend and will return.

Went in with my mom to help her pick out some shades (I ve been here with her in the past as well!). Ended up leaving with the dreamiest set of lamps for my bedroom! The staff are kind, helpful, and have a great eye. I can t wait to get these lamps set up on our nightstands! My mom has always had great experiences here, but so glad I ended up having my own experience today!

I bought an expensive antique Italian brass/mahogany lamp ($400) from Etsy.com that came from a seller in Poland and wanted to have it wired to U.S. standards. I called around and one place recommended D&W lighting. I've been here before and was impressed by their lamp collection yet my goal was to have the lamp I purchased rewired. They did an excellent job with a faster turn around time than I expected. They even upgraded the bulb socket to ceramic. I've been using this lamp for over a month now and wanted to praise these people for excellent service. I have another lamp that needs work and these are my go to lamp service people now. 5 star service, thank you.

I love this place! It's like a trip to a museum of lighting history. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the amazingly wide variety of treasures one can find in every inch of their showroom. Our chandelier company often finds much needed rare components, as well as inspiration in this stunning array of delightful luminaries.
Their prices are excellent and the quality is superb.

It's hard to find anything bad to say about this fine establishment. They don't have an archery accessory section, but I guess that's to be expected.

Went in looking for a lampshade for my newly purchased vintage lamp and was warmly greeted by a woman who put a lightbulb in my lamp so that we could try out different lampshades that she picked out for me from their huge, giant, enormous selection of lampshades! Seriously the selection is astounding I went in looking for a simple white shade and left with something better that really makes my new lamp pop! The woman was not pushy at all (which is great because I am super indecisive) and let me think about my decision, they even let you leave a credit card number on file so you don't have to pay right away and can take it home to see if it's the right fit! They have a great selection of all kinds of vintage lamps as well!

I brought my lamp in for repairs and was met with the staff on a very professional level. They quoted me a price to re wire my lamp which I thought was very reasonable and they told me it would be ready in 10 days. Four days later I received a phone call and I was told it was ready. In summary good service and good price.

Today I brought in a vintage lamp that I purchased without a shade on ebay. This place has an amazing selection of shades and they are really knowledgeable about different styles and eras. Not only did they hook me up with the perfect shade, but they centered the lamp on its base and we had a nice little chat about vintage stores in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many unusual and truly beautiful refurbished lamps they actually have for sale. I could totally see myself becoming a lamp fanatic with this sort of resource nearby. Thanks so much for the excellent service. This is exactly why I prefer small businesses. See you soon!

I picked up a light at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore but it needed a rod and a swivel mount. They quoted me a price three times LOWER than another well-known lighting store in town, and they did a fantastic job, they did it for the price they quoted, and they had it back when they said it would be back. I just picked up another light with similar needs and I plan on going there again tomorrow. it's not as close to me as other lighting stores but they have won my business.

I went in for a replacement lampshade for a nice old wrought iron floor lamp. Ana was extremely helpful and suggested I bring the lamp in so we could try different shades. The lamp needed a repair to the piece that holds the lampshade anyway, so I went back that same day with the lamp. On the spot, they fixed the broken piece, added a riser so the shade would have more distance from the bulbs and found a simple shade and a very nice finial that matched the style of the lamp perfectly--all for less than the cost of a similar lampshade I had seen online. This is the kind of service that reminds me why shopping local is such a great idea. Please shop there. I want them to be there for a LOOOONG time!

These people are scam artists!! I took a crystal chandelier to them to have a length of electric cord added at a cost of $150. I received a call the next day and was advised that their expert had inspected the chandelier and said the wiring was old & needed to be replaced. The cost for replacing the wiring & cleaning would be $800 & I agreed. Yesterday, I received a call advising me there was a significant crack in the chandelier. I wrapped and crated this chandelier personally & knew there was no crack let alone a significant crack. When I delivered the chandelier to their shop I requested that we unwrap it and look at it together so they could see that it was in excellent condition and that it had all of its crystals. The girl said "oh no, we trust you no need to do that". So when the girl called me to inform me it was cracked I went ballistic and told her I did not want to hear anything about a crack because it was not cracked when I crated it and she had refused to inspect the chandelier when I brought it in and then I hung up. In a few minutes the owner called and told me they had just unpacked my chandelier and it was cracked when they uncreated it. Now you tell me how they could have inspected the chandelier's wiring without unpacking it from the crate? Needless to say the owner refused to accept responsibility for the damage and demanded I come & get my chandelier. I will pick it up next week & take it somewhere reputable. I intend to sue D&W Lighting for any damage they have done to my chandelier!

If you are smart do not trust this company!!! They can't have it both ways they can't tell me they unpacked my chandelier and inspected the wiring and it was old & needed to be replaced and then turn around and say they just unpacked it and it was broken when It came out of the crate. Either they're lying about inspecting the wiring and it was cracked in transit or they lied about just unpacking the chandelier-either way they're dishonest
