The pad Thai was a really good. Prices were a bit high for what you get. ($4 for adding chicken? No thanks!) Atmosphere was fine, if a little cold. They really pump up their gluten free vegan organic lifestyle, which is fine, but felt a tad over bearing. Friendly staff and a large tea selection.

Barista has a bit of an attitude problem. Ordered drip but they were out. She tells me to wait and doesn't give me any info when it's refilled. I ended up swapping it out for a latte instead.

Additionally, I ordered the breakfast bowl, and asked for some changes (swapped beans for roasted peppers), but they forgot my scrambled eggs. Lady at register was really nice and helpful tho. Saving grace perhaps.

Aside from the subpar service, the salad bowl was great.

Had a delicious curry noodle bowl that was priced appropriately. The staff were very friendly and connect well with their guests.
The only thing that was underwhelming was the coffee but my fault for getting a coffee in a tea establishment.
Place has a great vibe as well.

Went with my husband and toddler to Canmore one weekend, and we chanced upon this cafe. All three of us enjoyed our visit! Food was great, ambience was cozy, and my kid had a blast playing in their kids area. That was a nice touch. Service was overall good. Could ve been better if one of their staff members were as pleasant and friendly as the others. A little smile goes a long way. Maybe she was just having a bad day that day.

Vegetarian and Vegan super star, also meat options (though expensive) for those who just cant stay away. This is the happy medium my vegetarian husband and I love to hit up when we're in Canmore after a work out or just for a quiet afternoon. The only down side is the price is a bit steep, but its not too bad when we only visit very occasionally and considering they have to transport things into the middle of valleys.

Wow. Just wow. This place was so delicious we ate here 2 days in a row. I had the Nori wrap and absolutely loved the combined flavors. Such a unique lunch. My second day I also had a mocha made with cocoa powder instead of syrup and was very impressed. I love dark bitter chocolate and the mocha had just the right mix.

One word of warning - give yourself plenty of time. They are BUSY! It is obviously a local favorite. Totally worth the time though

Nice open cafe with good windows. Fairly noisy inside when busy as you compete with other patrons and piped in background music. Sandwich was very tastey but side dish of dried out popcorn didn't work well and took away from the sandwiche. Would have been better with chips at least. Regular drip coffee was decent which is unusual these days

What an utter disappointment.

The food was average (at best). Paninis are served as sandwiches on white bread (Because That s how we do paninis ).

At one stage, we felt as if we had committed capital murder when the server came to our table and lectured us on the correct placement of the cream. For this, perhaps we will never be able to adequately repay the town of canmore. We are terribly sorry and remorceful of our actions. The cream is for everyone and we horded it like a bunch of animals. We protected it day and night as it lay, defenceless in the middle of our table. However can we repay the debts of our actions. I am particularly sorry to the cream. To the cream, I say, I am sorry. We took you from your allocated space, and placed you on our table. And although your stay was temporary, it must have been so scary for you to have been on our table. I only wish I could go back in time and change my actions. Rest assured, the Keepers of the Cream (AKA staff members) plucked up the courage and came over to save you. You are such lucky cream to have such valiant protectors. Their screeches filled the air like a shrill speaker, blasting through the air. We trembled in fear at the sound and presence.

We will never be the same.

We will always remember.

Thankyou for yelling at us about the cream.

Love! Love! Love! Favourite place on Canmore hands down. Food is fresh, delivered quickly to the table. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They've got clearly marked vegan/substitutes options available. Big fan! They will most definitely see me again. Breakfast and lunch is on point!

The food was fresh, delicious and the service was quick. I really enjoyed my food, I got the turkey and apple ciabatta sandwich with avocado n the apples were fresh, the cheese was melted to perfection, the bread was crispy and light and the avocado provided a delicious creamy touch. 10/10 recommend this place for a lovely and light lunch. Really yummy place with amazing customer service!

Don t get the avocado side-up sandwich. You will pay $12 for what feels like a bare 0.60 cent bun with skimpy sliced avo and thin tomato. Confident I could make a better version at home for $2; they should simply remove it off the menu or put some effort into presentation by adding a side or some pea shoots on top (even a few sliced carrots or a few taco chips would add a lot). The nori bowl was good but should definitely include a protein for the price of $14.50. We probably won t give this cafe a second try.
2 Americano coffee and the 2 items was $39. Feeling ripped off.

Cute and modern cafe in Canmore! However the wait was quite long; I think we may have waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. We visited during New Year's Eve, so maybe it was more crowded than normal?

The food is healthy and natural, and they offered a number of vegetarian options. My hubby and I ordered one turkey and cheddar on ciabatta, and a portabella mushroom panini. Both were delicious, and surprisingly larger portions than expected. I also had a cup of their curried butternut squash soup, but it really just tasted like curry sauce that goes with a meat dish. The food in general is filling, but not too heavy. Great place!

Communitea is totally my "go to" place whenever we're in the area. It is a really nice space, well designed and the decor is lovely. They have a huge variety of fantastic teas, vegetarian and vegan foods. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are quite reasonable, serving sizes are generous and service is pretty quick even during busy rushes.

One thing: they are using single use (compostable) everything. Even if you dine in. This is not environmentally friendly at all. When I mentioned it to the sever she said it s to protect their employees from being exposed to dinnerware/utensils that have been used. I work in healthcare I can tell you that covid does NOT jump from the lip of a cup into the dishwashers mouth. Wash your hands after you do the dishes.. simple. And once things are sanitized they re safe for the next patrons. Other than that - Good food, great coffee, good service.
