I ordered a Mango Thai Salad online to pickup and eat on the road as we were passing through Canmore. Much to my disappointment, when I opened my order a few minutes after picking it up, the portion size only filled out a quarter of the takeout box. In addition, the salad had been pre-dressed resulting in a limp watery salad that had about a half cup of dressing/liquid at the bottom of the takeout container. The flavors of the salad were tasty, however the ridiculously small portion size in addition to the execution of the salad being dressed ahead of time definitely means I will not be repeating the experience of online ordering/takeout from Communitea.

I haven't been here in a while now actually so I can't really comment on how the food etc is currently, but when I was there the coffee and pie I had last time were really good and the people working there were friendly. What provoked me to leave this review now was actually seeing the Owner's response to a one star review below. Covid is hard and some people have literally no compassion. It's not nice seeing good smaller businesses getting pummeled with negative reviews based on something so beyond anyone's control as the coronavirus is. You could say we need more solidari-tea! I'll be coming back for another latte when things are safer to do so, as this place was pleasant last time!

Communitea is my favourite place to eat in Canmore. This weekend we ordered catering/take-out for our group. They were friendly, quick to respond to communications, and extremely accommodating of our multitude of dietary restrictions. The food was, as always, delicious

Very meh. We had 2 wraps and 2 lattes and it came out to like 35$. We also wanted a paper cup of water for our dog and they charged us 1$ for it -- for water. We then waited for about 20 minutes. The food, once it came, was mostly mush, with chips on the side for mine, and popcorn for my wife's. Wouldn't recommend, and I wish we'd just gone to Starbucks or a full restaurant. It would've been equal or cheaper in price for better service.

As soon as you walk in you know you are in a special environment. So comfortable and relaxed.

The staff was so welcoming and very friendly. They were all like friends.

When we received our food and started eating....wow! Amazing creativity and flavors. Great spins on tried and true fare.

The last time I was at this restaurant I ordered the Nori Bowl and it was one of the best things I've ever tasted! Their food is always fresh, they have good sized portions, and the staff are always lovely. This is my restaurant of choice anytime I'm in Canmore. I highly recommend it!!!

Children s play area was magnificent. The tea was unique and delicious. The food was flavorful and fresh (chicken coconut curry, Buddha bowl, and vegan burrito). Our to stay food came in to go containers, which wasn t a big deal, just wasteful. Potato soup was surprisingly bland, given how good the other food was.

Five stars without a question! This is one of my favourite place to eat of of anywhere I've traveled. The food is unique and has a great fresh feeling to it. The only nitpick is that you might not feel full afterward, but you'll definitely feel comfortable once you're done. The atmosphere is great and the prices are reasonable for what you get.

The food has always been amazing but today I saw that they had an unsweetened version of a mocha and omg! It was amazing. I've always stayed away from store bought mocha drinks because of all of the sugary syrup but love chocolate and coffee together and this was everything I could have wanted from it. So so good!

This is the PLACE! So many options for EVERY preference. There are tons of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, as well as none of the above! This place was packed for lunch, as it should be. That's fantastic and it's kind of loud and that's sort of a downside for being such good food. It's well-deserved.

The food was just spectacular. I got the grilled cheese and it was amazing. My partner got the quesadilla. I swear he almost cried he loved his food so much! We recommend both dishes. The only thing I didn't love is that it came with popcorn as a side. I just don't like popcorn, not their fault. But I understand it's well-seasoned. The desserts all looked beautiful and tasty, but we didn't get any this time.

The restaurant is clean and the food came out rather quickly considering how busy it was and how long we waited in line. If you need lunch in Canmore, I highly recommend visiting the terribly-named "Communitea!"

So I've liked this place for a while now but my recent experience made me even more hyped on this wonderful establishment. I went in for my usual with my girlfriend, we ordered, came out as usual and we sat down to eat. We were sitting outside when an absolute freak windstorm messed our day up. Tonnes of dust, dirt, and all sorts of all things mother nature blew into our food and blew the umbrella into my face. Now this is some crazy act of God stuff, but the staff at Communitea promptly came out and helped me fold up the umbrella and offered to replace our food. They had no reason to do this and the accident was so far from their fault but they hooked it up. They made us all new food no questions asked. It was amazing as usual, and they even remembered my original hotsauce order. Been a long time customer and I gotta just say go there. Bunch of rad people over there. Plus during non pandemicvirushellstuff times, the inside is a rad place to eat food.

My second time to communitea was not as great as the first based solely on the item I ordered. The shrimp nori bowl uses an asian sesame sauce which is quite strong in flavor, they used waaay too much of it, it was overpowering and came across more like a soup than a salad.

I love everything else about this place, the drinks, the atmosphere, the healthy local vibe, but this one dish was a big let down.

We were looking for breakfast (or lunch) @ 11 am having been up @ 4am for a flight from SW Ontario to Calgary, so decided to stop in Canmore. Food was fantastic! Unique pairings that are nutritious as well as tasty. I has a corn tortilla wrap of scrambled egg, cheese, spiced black bean smash & sweet potato with a walnut green tea. Hubby had a ham/cheese pain with coffee. He commented on how great his meal was too. Love they offer gluten free options. Would visit again with no hesitation.
