Chateau de Lantic

Very unfavorable opinion.
We booked a room on February 15, 2017 - our reservation was validated - Then it was canceled on April 15 - on the grounds of booking the castle for a wedding - instead we were given two addresses of hotels (in different price ranges).

Lantic Castle did not care about that -

Stay to forget. Neither castle nor gastronomy as the smartbox indicated

This place was nothing short of a NIGHTMARE and I was literally crying at my wedding weekend because of them. Murielle the chateau owner is terrible to deal with. When we first spoke and signed the contract for our wedding rehearsal she was lovely, and the moment we paid a deposit she transformed: she claimed that our contract was for a "cold" meal of beef chicken and fish because it didn't specify "hot" - and then charged double to serve hot food. This was just the beginning. Everything that could have gone wrong the night of the event, did: nothing was ready when 159 guests turned up, tables were dirty and not arranged as agreed, she set up one of two agreed bars and refused to serve the wine as promised, she threatened multiple times during the event to make us leave and extorted us for cash in the middle of the reception saying she would stop the event of we didn't pay, she refused to move furniture to the setup we agreed to (and so I the bride in heels has to rearrange furniture), delivered nothing on the contract. Her staff was chaos. The venue was pretty and the food was fine, but it is not worth it and I would do anything to have my special night back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE WOMAN

First of all, I find the garden to be well maintained. However this is not the case with the facade of the building as well as the interior of the rooms.

I was in the room which was next to the living room (R + 1), and there was a lot of noise (from 5 pm to 10 pm).

The decoration of the bedroom and the bathroom is nickel !!

The breakfast is complete, cereal, croissant, tea, orange juice.

I paid 99 for one night

I was disappointed to see in one of the photos to see a led bathtub and I didn't have one in my room. The heaters in my room seem to be difficult to control.

SHAMEFUL!!! AVOID ANY EMERGENCY !!!!
We used a wonderbox at 119 as well as a supplement of 60 per night for an upgrade.

The pool was green and the spa was dirty, lukewarm and several jets were not working !!!
The D'Artagnan room is pretty and spacious, but we found some rubbish (receipts) on the floor under the bedside table with a lot of dust.
Under the pillows, the sheet was stained and the sheet was covered with hair and hair ....

At breakfast I asked a member of the staff (who appeared to be the boss) how to have a cappuccino from the coffee machine. He replied that it was not working this morning just because he was disturbed in his conversation with his employee. He finally refused to come and help us 5 minutes later. The quality of the breakfast remains to be desired (jars of jam open from 7 am to 10 am, frozen pastries ...).

My mother had a horrible mishap with this hotel / castle (wonderbox 239 + 30 (suite) + 20 child bed (absent) + 10 (breakfast child) + 28 (child meal)) Arriving in the Room cleaning was not done, all the cosmetics were open and used, the sheets were soiled on the sides, there were huge spider webs + spiders, a lot of dust. At dinner: full of gnats in the first and second kir royal cocktails, the dinner service was very long because the person was alone to serve? and this person was very rude, my mother could not choose are meals as advertised on the map (starter, main course, cheese, dessert) all the dishes were imposed without comment and that of the child was changed despite that he was not included in the box. The next day brought breakfast in the room: hair in fig jam, tray broken at the risk of this injury (fiberglass) at the time of leaving my mother looked everywhere to see if she had not forgotten anything and the surprise by opening One of the two wardrobes in my mother's room found the personal belongings of the hotel's previous guests proof that the cleaning of the room was not done after their departure. After all the misadventures of the day before my mother preferred to recover them in order to return them to the owners (sending post colissimo followed) rather than leaving them at the reception of this hotel because my mother had no confidence in them. My mother is very shocked by this mishap because the hotel person harassed her (3 phone calls and 2 emails). Very disappointed !!!!!

Quiet, peaceful place that has retained its authenticity. Very hospitable hosts. The rooms are large and have a large bathroom. Highly recommend.

A charming castle with beautiful themed rooms. A very pleasant stay with the impression of becoming one's own chatelain.

We appreciated the proximity to the reception to which we were invited.
However, the price of the comfort room in which we were did not correspond at all to the standard of a room at 140 euros per night without breakfast (price paid 1 year in advance).
Other than this the owners are welcoming, the chateau is not too noisy although there was a wedding reception on Saturday evening
We therefore recommend this hotel
By cons the price would be lower.

A charming place but a very unprofessional welcome.
We had booked the spa in advance to be able to go there as soon as we arrived, and when we presented ourselves at the reception we were told that we could not go there because it was necessary (beyond the reservation) to show up 1 hour before for them. heat it up. What is the point of booking in advance in this case?
Radiator in the room broken, to which we are told "You have the hottest room in the castle, leave the living room door open and it will heat up".
Water leak from the ceiling on the chandelier during breakfast.
When checking out, the prices are not clear, and they want us to pay for the breakfast which was included when booking.

Wine to match, very expensive and without much relief.
Green algae pool. Frankly not want to swim there.

We expected services of another level for this price ...

We had a pleasant stay ; the castle is located a few km from the station BORDEAUX ST JEAN, which is very convenient.
We enjoyed the calm of this large mansion well renovated and enjoyed the view of the famous vineyards.
The owner was very efficient in providing us the comfort of 2 beds as we wished.
The meal is served by the owners in a friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic hostess and host, a wonderful dinner with accompanying wines and a wonderful atmosphere. Been here with a friend and we had a great stay, the rooms are good but especially the rest of the stay and the atmosphere stays with us.

Nice and warm place. Good reception, room with very nice view. Excellent breakfast. We regretted the lack of accessibility of the sauna and the lack of a visit to the vineyard as well as the lack of local information.
But overall we had a great weekend.

Very nice hotel of charm in peace with a home of quality. The breakfast is very good based on fresh and organic products. The park is beautiful. Some rooms do not have bathtubs. The towels are not worthy of standing. The gardener who passes the hedge hedge under the windows early in the morning was not necessarily pleasant.

We had a great stay at Chateau de Lantic. All the staff were exceptionally kind. The site is truly magnificent. Thanks again for everything !

Well placed near Bordeaux and in the heart of the vineyards, the environment is very pleasant and the owners very nice, however the bedding did not suit us and the buffet breakfast offered little choice (at 9:30).

Beautiful setting and very nice rooms ... Only downside on the lack of professionalism (hotel training) of all staff. Palme d'Or to Monsieur who opens all the bottles of a "plop" resounding throughout the dining room! With all hotels and castles in the area, it must be easy to find a better quality / price ratio.

Chateau with pleasant surroundings, charming on the whole. However, we find the room expensive compared to its standard and size. Remarkable lack of hygiene in and around the jacuzzi, visible grime and cobwebs. The dinner is average because it is reasonable value for money and we ate well. The breakfast was pleasant because good products in general but lack of diversity in jams (only 1 choice) and lack of diversity in fresh fruit.
A pleasant but mixed set, a lot of things to improve to live up to the prices charged.

Berezina is not in Belarus but in Martillac. Think twice before booking this place for your wedding. The staff is of a disconcerting kindness. Want to make a group photo for your wedding? What neni! If you ever plan to organize a few surprises for the bride and groom, you will have the right to a cold welcome and you may even doubt you: maybe it is old-fashioned and corny to make a speech to the bride and groom? ... In all case, try not to disturb the service of the cheese board, it could cool ... The highlight of the show has not arrived yet because before that you can also discover that the mounted piece will be served with 15 minutes of advance because the weather announced an impending rain ... We always wait for the drops that could have refreshed the spirits of the staff. The nail was not going to delay, we should first of all support a DJ with limited discography and little on the page. Do not know what time the wedding ends? be reassured the masters of the place will know how to tell you. It's four o'clock in the morning and not a second longer. You have to understand them, they have to rest after so much work. And yes, you will understand, the party is over and it seems non-negotiable. If you want to have more fun, I advise you to get married twice, not to have children, because they will not have the right to play football, under penalty of seeing the ball confiscated. Think twice before inviting friends, they might want to dance, laugh, have fun and it would not please the boss. In short, the owners of the Chateau Lantic will rather advise newlyweds to have a dinner alone rather than an unforgettable evening for a unique moment. You will understand, go your way rather than organize your wedding.

My darling and I had a very pleasant moment of calm in this castle which has a lot of charm. A score of 5 out of 5 for the Romeo and Juliet suite! The owner of the place is also very welcoming and helpful.

Disappointed with the room bedding not top minimalist bathroom there was virtually no one could have given us a room a little better we had chosen the low season for this reason because in summer we knew perfect that we would not have the better the meal no worries a little shipped on the end the breakfasts were very hearty and good may have missed some fresh products from the area
