Great hotel. Great location. Great service. James and Andy (concierges) helped in a variety of ways every day that we were there. And honestly it seemed that James must have been working 20 hours shifts as he would be there in the early mornings when we left and still there late at night when we would return.

Lovely afternoon tea. Staff were accommodating and helpful throughout my visit. Went to celebrate a birthday, and the staff made an extra effort to make the visit special, the harpist played happy birthday as the dessert was served. All in all wonderful, would recommend to anyone.

A beautiful hotel located in the heart of the city. EVERYTHING is within walking distance. Princess Street to The Royal Mile, The Witchery by the Castle (restaurant), bars, bars and more bars! The perfect "home base" to explore and the concierge desk will help make arrangements for just about anything. Go, enjoy, explore then relax!

If you are looking for a nice drink in an bar that has an relaxed, great customer service and amazing atmosphere, the Balmoral offers all of those and even more. I've been plenty of times to say that it can't be replaced as it offers all in one. Haven't stayed in a room or had any food at their restaurants so I can't comment on that. Their cocktail tasting menu is a must and everyone who wants to have their mouths spoiled with excellent flavours should give it a try.

The five star Balmoral Hotel in Ediburgh gathers capital managers and their
wealthiest clients in the magnificent big ceilinged ballroom, that gives feeling of being small to everybody who ever it except those clients.

This wealthy resort institution would make a new man from anyone in just two weeks for sure, just ask their top organiser.

Thanks again and we will be back to make most profitable Investment!

Ancient monumental structure erected in 1902, the style is Edwardian like the nearby historic shopping center of edinburgh Jenners, the work of the same architect, once it was the Waverley Station hotel, known as the North Britain Hotel, it was bought by the Rocco group Forte who completely renovated it and changed its name. The rooms are comfortable, those facing the outside of the hotel always or almost always have a breathtaking view of the city, impeccable internal service and the possibility of tasting excellent wiskhey, having an afternoon tea at the Palm Court or eating in the restaurant on the ground floor. which boasts a michelin star. Professional and kind staff. In short, highly recommended. Small curiosities, the hands of the bell tower are a few minutes behind because traditionally customers could believe they were late and then instead be able to arrive in time to catch the train. The hotel was wished by Sean Connery who is honored in the rooms with some photos taken from his James Bond. Finally, J.K. Rowling lodged in the hotel in a 5th floor suite named after the writer, who concluded the Harry Potter saga here. In short, even a small visit would be worthwhile given the monumental grace of this extraordinary building, the heart of the city in the true sense of the word.

I only went to the Afternoon Tea service they offer. For people who are into fancy tea's, it is definitely a nice place with a wide variety of flavours ... But for those who aren't (like me), I found it not special at all: tea + really casual food that I could eat else where

The Balmoral Hotel on Princes street Edinburgh has to be one of the most famous tourist places on the Edinburgh city tour. Upon entering this building the beauty and old worldly atmosphere is truly unbelievable. This coupled with the very wonderful stairway that leads upto the main bar area and its magnificent and extremely large display of every type of whiskey imaginable. This is a whiskey connoisseur paradise if ever in Edinburgh this place is well worth the visit.
