Went to visit it grandma there and my mom was the only one allowed in the room. The nurses were nothing short of caring and fantastic towards everyone. They let us see our family through the glass doors and took the time to turn the bed so we could see her. Try not only are taking care of grandma but taking care of mom while she is there as well! Thank you Kristie!!
The first day my Mom arrived to this place she was able to talk and be herself and could eat yet and that was the only time she got to eat something and talk to us again -Mind you!- By the second day she was drugged so hard with Morphine she was not able to communicate with us Or eat again and because of being drugged so heavily she had fallen from her bed and hit the side of her head temple area by her eye and bruised it pretty bad and also with the fall broke Something in her torso area which left her in a serious condition and they did nothing no X-ray she was in pain from that very badly, (her bed alarm had went off but they didn t rush to her quick enough, they said she was too fast- which I don t believe -because she was drugged so heavily -She couldn t even push the nurse button right by her hand, she was so highly drugged with Morphine how could she of even got up by herself?! When that happened which made them Drug her even harder yet with Morphine which I felt should of never happened because she had enough Morphine in her body to kill a horse already and couldn t tell us what really happened with being so Morphed out. (Which I feel they did that to cover up what really happened and to save their butts)
There were 2 nurses In particular that just liked to push the Morphine button heavily and did not like to listen when told anything - very cold hearted one was a red head and the other was short and petite.
My Mom was not treated good at this place I would never recommend bringing your loved ones here for anyone that has a HEART- not a good place to leave a Loved one -had I known that from the the moment of putting a loved one in here was going to be this horrible of an experience for them I would of never said yes to this place. I just always thought Hospice was supposed to be a peaceful place where they care And treat you like royalty before your dying day but not the case here which was really disappointing and Heart Wrenching.
Please just make sure that your loved one is ready to take their last breath before sticking them in here.
My father and family were treated with such compassion. People there understood my father...listened to the the family and really worked hard to make him comfortable. The entire staff seems connected in in sync. Thank you!
My mother passed away eleven years ago, after 6 days at Angel's Grace. The idea of turning mom's care over to compassionate professionals allowed us to spend quality time with mom during her last days.
We are now looking to Angel's Grace as my father nears the time where he will be joining my mother. There is no question that we will look to Angel's Grace for end of life care for my father as well.
They did an amazing job caring for my grandpa and my family while we were there. I definitely reccommend this great facility.
Our family want to give you all at A.G.the biggest thank you! Your caring support, kind words, helpfulness, and attention was/is superb! Our brother was there for only a short time; March 7-10th, 2016. The facility and grounds are beautiful. If you have someone that needs hospice care, we'd recommend Angels Grace without hesitation.
Grandmother was only there a day, but the nurses and staff all were extremely supportive. Recommended.
Our family couldn't of asked for better care of our Mom. They took the worst journey of our life & made it beautiful.
Our family was extremely blessed to have received care from Angels Grace. The staff was FABULOUS to say the least. Our family HIGHLY recommends Angels Grace Hospice.
The Glowinski Family
Mother was a resident there for 3 months. When we rang the buzzer, either a nurse or volunteer came into the room in less than a minute to see what we needed. The food was very good and she could choose what she wanted for each meal and there was a good selection. The last day of Mother's life they couldn't have been more caring not only with Mother, but with our family. The nursing staff was very pleasant and efficient. A chaplain came in a few times a week and the support dog came in too. One day we had not only deer, but turkeys at Mother's bird feeder. Would highly recommend Angel's Grace.
Caring and compassionate. The entire staff and facility helped me more than I could have asked for.
My mother was a patient at Angels Grace January 4th to 8th 2018. During her stay, the staff treated my mother, my family, and myself with kindness and respect. My family and I were able to stay overnight to spend quality time with my mother until her last dying day. The nurses kept my mother comfortable as possible as she transitioned over to the other world (Heaven). I miss my mother so much and I can't wait to see her again. Thank you so much Angels Grace for the wonderful service you provided.
Attentive. Kind. Completely available. Beautiful environment. Thank you so much for a respectful end of life experience. Thank you also to the Waukesha Service Club for there support. So sad but thankful at the same tome.
The nurses while I was visiting were great. The communication between shifts is horrid. Things were done that no one had explanations for. Management is extremely poor rated.
This place does not live up to the hype. They drug the patients hard, so they don't have to deal, with them in my personal opinion.
My mother missed several meals due to orders not being put in. She was mistreated in several ways, which I have documented and voiced my concern without accusing but hoping for clarification. Off shifts are grossly understaffed or lack motivation.
The grounds are lovely. Nice flower gardens.
The volunteers are a true blessing.
This place was nice. The nurses were great BUT. The management sucks! The social worker is ridiculous completely disrespectful. They do not respect the families wishes at all would not recommend it unless they get rid of that garbage social worker!
My dad passed away a year ago at AngelsGrace, Staff was great
To all of the personnel at the Hospice and to everyone and anyone who might need the services of a hospice for end of life situations. My daughter was transferred to AngelsGrace on Tuesday, June 24th . During her brief say, she passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, she received warm, tender and compassionate care from nurses, volunteers and all who came into contact with her. Her children, both adults, were treated with the same compassion and dignity. I live in Florida and came to see my daughter on June 26th and left on the 28th, and I was treated in a similar fashion by all. I cannot tell you how impressed I was by the facility itself. The rooms are spacious and contain every amenity one could hope for. My granddaughter and one of her friends were able to spend the night in the room on several days comfortably. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, this Hospice deserves a 10.
The staff and the volunteers are angels. They all did an amazing job taking care of our dad as well as us during our 9 day stay there. They were very helpful during the whole process. Thank you to the entire staff. I reccomend this place.
The only good thing about this place is the nurses. My uncle was actively dying and his whole family was asked to leave so some unwanted visitors could spend time with him. We voiced that we did not want them there the Police were even called by his family and we still had to leave so these gang affiliated people could spend time with our family member. Needless to say my family member died without his family by his side. Not to mention on how rude the social worker was to the family. When family left his wallet and cell phone were with my Uncle. When his body was picked up those items were missing.
Such a wonderful, caring facility! I was so touched by their care and compassion and communication for my husband's short stay there. Everyone was so very helpful during the whole process and I couldn't have had a better experience anywhere else!
My mother passed away two months ago at Angel's Grace. The staff did NOT communicate what to expect in end of life. The staff discontinued her medication without consulting the family. There was one particular nurse that was disrespectful and arrogant when specific clarifying questions were being asked. When my mother requested to say goodbye to her grandchildren, this same nurse wanted to drug her up to the point she was unconscious. When I requested that we hold off on the medication a bit, until my son could arrive, the nurse looked at me with disgust and said 'do whatever you like' and abruptly walked out.
Worst absolute experience of my life.
This organization let my family down terribly when my mother was dying. They claimed she was too complicated for them to do their assessment. This was after 10+ days of trying to get an appointment for palliative care so that she could be eased into hospice. My mother was in horrible pain with overwhelming health problems and by the time we got another hospice into place she only lived two days. As an RN myself, I was horrified by how this case was handled.
