We love Amici. Like no other restaurant Amici food, service and environment can be the fancy place to celebrate a big family event or a nice casual restaurant on a Tuesday night. It has a home town feel and simultaneously brings exquisiteness to small town central Massachusetts. We love Amici.

I lived in Shrewsbury for 20 years and only recently " discovered" this place after moving to Milford! LOL! The food is excellent, the service is top notch and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It is a small place so expect to wait but believe me you'll be happy you did

Delicious!! Amazing food! Cocktails are alright. No reservation necessary, first come first serve basis. However, you can call 15 minutes before arrival to get on the wait list, which should result in a shorter wait. Plety of parking behind the building. Would certainly recommend and will visit again.

Was the worst pizza. Got thin crust. Big mistake because the crust separated. Bottom portion split off the heavier top so when you ate it you had a plate full of brown flakes. Can't believe all the rave reviews. Standard must be very low in Shrewsbury. Restaurant extremely noisy and our waitress a bit snappy. She refused to give us bread and oil because we still had our menus and they may get dirty? I'm recommending Shrewsbury Street over local.

Every thing is awesome here. Alex, our host, was amazing. Food is great. Fresh baked panini with olive oil and roasted garlic was heaven. Buffalo chicken pizza was fantastic. Risotto with zafron was rich with flavor. Panini with chicken and broccoli with creamy garlic sauce was so good too. Will come again for sure.

We ordered pizza and they gave us the wrong order therefore they gave us a gift certificate and then we picked up the correct order. Now we ordered eggplant Parmesan with everything on it. Again all that it came with is eggplant Parmesan, nothing extra that was ordered. For some reason they cannot get an order right

Food was good, not great. Service was on the slow side. Stopped on a whim because it was convenient. Had linguine with white clam sauce. Was surprised to have it come with lemons on it? The lemon was overwhelming to the dish. Another person in my party had a salmon special and was happy with it. I would stop again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Went to Amici for the first time today for breakfast because we wanted to try something new and local. Immediately upon walking in the maitre d' did not greet us but our waitress came over to seat us. The food was good and bar was adequately stocked but the initial greeting sets the stage and it ended the same way we came in, no thank you for coming or see you soon. Just dead silence. So we weren't welcomed and we won't be back.

Amici's Trattoria is our favorite neighborhood restaurant and we frequent the restaurant almost weekly. The food is exceptional and the wait staff and bar tenders are great. We walk in and they know our favorite drinks and food. Our only bad experiences have been with a woman named Jasmine. She is a manager I believe and needs to be trained on customer service. We have had three terrible experiences with this individual. After our last experience, we actually thought about not returning to the restaurant, but felt it was not fair to the great people who work there besides Jasmine. If this establishment wants to keep its loyal customers, I would recommend sending Jasmine to customer service training.

This place is one of my favorite "Little Italian" restaurants. The service staff is quick and friendly, the atmosphere is small-scale family restaurant, and the food.... Oh... My... Word... The food is amazing! Get the Alfredo with so.e fresh pasta... You will eat so much you feel ready to burst, and still have enough for tomorrow's lunch! Prices are mid range, expect to spend $60 for a couple to eat and have a drink.

Nice local hang out with good food. I love their Caesar salads, portobello mushroom tower and chicken Parmesan. My husband has their chicken piccata every time and says its consistently good. The bar is always popular with locals, nice wine list and excellent cocktails. The atmosphere is vibrant, sometimes fringes on loud. Don't miss their pizza- thin crust and excellent. Have I mentioned their warm bread and garlic dipping sauce? This alone will bring you back every time. Parking can sometimes seem like a hassle, but just keep driving around the block and I absolutely promise you something will open up!

This used to be a five * review. I'm updating it today, April 2016. Amici has been my favorite Italian restaurant for years. I've recommended it to plenty, and returned time and again. I used to look forward to Worcester Restaurant week just so I could go and see what they had created. Sadly, over the past year or so, they've evolved into a restaurant that has lost touch with its charm, its culinary quality, and most of all, its service. The final straw came for me last week. I walked out even before we ordered. Unfortunately, I won't be going back.

NEVER going there again. Slooooooooooooooow service. Coffee served room temp then 10 min to get cream. An hour before food on the table. We informed server of a specific life threatening food allergy and that we didn t want the bread at the table but she brought it anyway. One server and six tables and still she s just chit chatting up front with the bar maid. Forgetful. Slow. Poor service.

Food is good. Not superb, but definitely great food. The pasta is a little overpriced for what you get, but they make a good cheap attempt to glorify italian food. What I mean by this is that the presentation is done really well, including home-made bread and roasted garlic in olive oil; and fancy pasta dishes. When it boils down to it though, there really isn't anything inventive here, it's all just presentation. Regardless, it is tasty.
HOWEVER, and this is a big however: you can't have a conversation here, It is a VERY small place and they pack you in like sardines. It gets VERY loud. So loud in fact, that I couldn't have a conversation with my dining partners. I just had to sit and stare around and be amazed at just how loud this place is.
Despite how good the food is, I will not be returning as there is no point to dining in such noise. If I can't have a conversation with whom I am dining, or if I have to scream to be heard, there is no point to it.

Service was great. The place is small and feels like eating dinner at a diner. If you're into having small talk with other attendees during dinner then you can expect it. Bread was great, coffee was good and calamari was fresh. Ordered the thin crust margherita pizza which was not good. Crust separates from toppings and pretty much crumbles on the plate. Flavor was eh. Had a couple of bites and stopped. I wouldn't go again if I based my experience on the pizza but other plates of food looked good.

Horrible takeout experience on a Sunday night. Decided to call ahead and order 2 to-go pizzas (thin crust) at 7:00pm. Was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Arrived at 7:30pm and had to wait until 7:50pm. 50 minutes for two thin crust pizzas??
They also had me sign for the pizza 30 mins before it was done to finalize the sale. Not okay.
And the best part is when we got home, the pizzas weren't even cooked. I had to throw them in my own oven for another 15 minutes. The cheese fell right off the entire pizza. For $30, I will go to Anzio's next time in Northborough! This restaurant has gone down hill in the past two years.
