Great place, everything in there is around the price that it would be online, and it allows you to really get up close and check everything out. Owner's awesome and very helpful. My only complaint is the hours kinda suck.

I ordered a complete here via their website, but there was a mix-up with the trucks and wheels I ordered.. Mildly frustrated, I contacted customer support with hopes of being compensated. Their service with this was fantastic. The owner e-mailed me back and with sincere apologies, promised to ship out the correct order immediately and even include a free hat as well as a discount off of my next purchase! Although it took longer than expected for me, these guys genuinely care about their customer and will go the distance to ensure that they are receiving the best service possible! I highly recommend this place even if you are ordering a board online because their service is amazing! Thank you Jim for even switching out the blue trucks I ordered with gold ones that I realized afterwards would look much better.. You rock! I will purchase my gear from here in the future, and I live all the way in AZ lol

Easily the most complete brick & mortar longboard shop in MI. Unfortunately, I made a special trip out on Saturday to find that they aren't open on the weekends in fall.

This isn't reflected in their Google hours, nor is it listed anywhere on their site that I could find. I enjoy the feedback on purchases when I appear in person but I can't afford to be left hanging like this. Completely unacceptable.

I will be ordering from online stores to avoid this in the future.

The guys down at action boards know their stuff and are the most welcoming ppl You'll ever meet I got into longboarding last year, they helped me put together my first board built to my body weight, build and personal preferences and now I cant quit skating a year and 3 boards later

I ordered a board online from these guys and could not be happier. I usually don t write reviews, but action did such a great job that I had to. Their website was easy to use and they let you customize from many options for your wheels/trucks/bearings. They offer free shipping and it came the exact day it was expected. Also my board came with some sweet stickers and a handwritten thank you from action. They assembled my board for me and did an awesome job, she rides like a dream. This is how service should be done, would recommend. Thanks guys keep up the great work!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and prices that are the same as online retailers.
Took my board in to get new wheels and bearings, they explained to me why the ones I have do not need to be replaced. The service reminded me if the benefits when buying local.

Jim (the shop owner) is the absolute man. He has a wealth of skateboarding and longboarding knowledge to help you make the best purchase for your needs/skill level. Go here for all your skating needs, and support a local shop.

I feel like maybe my order was overlooked or something. I ordered a board for my husband as a birthday gift with an up to 7 day shipping time frame, they didn t ship it out until a week after I ordered it and now it looks like tracking says it will be another 5 days or so. It won t be here for his day but It s not the end of the world. If you are ordering with a time frame I would pay for the faster shipping options . It wasn t because Postal Service is slow it s because it didn t even go out when it should have. when I reached out before it even shipped to the email they had for questions I got no response. I guess my issue here is lack of communication as I understand things happen, I work in retail, this is a small business and I m sure the board will be amazing. Shop there I guess, But pay for better shipping or give yourself more time to get it.

Really enjoy the employees here as they know what they are talking about. Their prices are fair and the owner is really good about keeping repeat customers. Will be a repeat customer for years.

I bought an awesome downhill skateboard from action board shop for a good deal, but what was most impressive was the customer service. They gave me helpful over the phone advice on choosing the individual components of the skateboard. I could tell that they are very knowledgeable. They hooked it up in numerous ways, and the shipping was prompt to boot! I have made hundreds of online purchases, and this was no doubt one of my best online purchase experiences ever! I cannot recommend them highly enough! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Great shop. The owner is a good guy and is more than willing to help you build a board setup. Been going here infrequently for 8ish years and never go anywhere else for longboard parts. Has a good selection for casual riders and normal skateboarders too. The shop no longer has "high performance" parts like it used to though.
