Bellwether Housing develops and manages homes for people with limited incomes near job centers, transit, and services. Bellwether Housing envisions diverse communities where people of all incomes and backgrounds share in the prosperity of our region. Bellwether Housing was founded in 1980 by the downtown business to provide affordable workforce housing for downtown workers to live close to their jobs. After nearly 40 years of success and growth, Bellwether is Seattle's largest nonprofit affordable housing provider.
