Tickets for Troops: Providing Free Tickets to Members of the Armed Forces
Tickets for Troops is a non-profit organization that provides free tickets to members of the Armed Forces for a variety of sporting, musical, and cultural events. The service offers serving personnel and those medically discharged from the forces since 2001, the well-deserved opportunity to enjoy an event of their choice with their friends and families.
The organization was founded in 2009 by Lord Marland, who recognized that many members of the Armed Forces were unable to attend events due to financial constraints or other barriers. Tickets for Troops aims to provide these individuals with access to high-quality entertainment while also showing appreciation for their service.
Since its inception, Tickets for Troops has provided over 1.5 million tickets to members of the Armed Forces. The organization partners with a wide range of event organizers and venues across the UK, including major sports teams like Arsenal FC and Manchester United FC, as well as music festivals like Glastonbury.
One unique aspect of Tickets for Troops is that it allows serving personnel and veterans alike to choose which events they would like to attend. This means that individuals can select events based on their personal interests or preferences rather than being limited by what is available.
In addition to providing free tickets, Tickets for Troops also offers a range of other services designed specifically for members of the Armed Forces. These include discounted travel options through partnerships with companies like National Express and Eurostar as well as access to exclusive hospitality packages at certain events.
Overall, Tickets for Troops plays an important role in supporting members of the Armed Forces by providing them with opportunities they might not otherwise have access too. By partnering with event organizers across the UK and offering a wide range of options tailored specifically towards military personnel, this non-profit organization has become an invaluable resource within its community.
