The Foxton Centre: A Preston-Based Charity with a Strong Commitment to the Local Community

The Foxton Centre is a well-known charity based in Preston, Lancashire. Established in 1969, the organization has been providing support and assistance to vulnerable adults and young people in the local community for over five decades. The charity's mission is to empower individuals who are facing difficult circumstances by offering them practical help, emotional support, and access to essential services.

The Foxton Centre's work is centered around three main areas: homelessness, addiction recovery, and youth engagement. The charity recognizes that these issues are often interconnected and require a holistic approach to address effectively. By working closely with individuals who are experiencing homelessness or addiction problems, as well as young people who may be at risk of falling into these situations, The Foxton Centre aims to break the cycle of poverty and disadvantage that can trap people for years.

By engaging with young people early on through outreach programs such as youth clubs or mentoring schemes - The Foxton Centre aims to equip them with skills and knowledge that will help them avoid negative outcomes later in life.

In recent years, The Foxton Centre has faced significant challenges due to cuts in government funding for charities like theirs. However - thanks largely due their dedicated team of staff members volunteers - they have managed not only survive but thrive despite these obstacles. The charity has continued to expand its services and reach more people in need, thanks to the generosity of donors and supporters who believe in their mission.
