Petes Eats: Fueling Adventures Since 1978

Petes Eats is a café located in Llanberis, Wales that has been fueling adventures since 1978. The café was opened by Pete and Vicky Norton over 40 years ago as a place for climbers to gather and refuel after a long day of climbing. Today, Petes Eats is still the go-to spot for climbers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts who are looking for delicious food and great company.

At Petes Eats, we believe that good food is essential to any adventure. That's why we offer a wide range of dishes that are made with fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast before hitting the trails or a satisfying dinner after a long day of hiking, our menu has something for everyone.

One of our most popular dishes is our Full Welsh Breakfast which includes bacon, sausage, black pudding, eggs cooked to your liking, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms served with toast or fried bread. We also offer vegetarian options such as our Veggie Breakfast which includes vegetarian sausages instead of meat ones.

In addition to breakfast items like omelets and pancakes served all day long we also have sandwiches like BLT (bacon lettuce tomato) sandwich or Tuna Melt sandwich on sourdough breads along with burgers like Classic Cheeseburger or Veggie Burger made from beetroot & quinoa patty topped with cheese & salad leaves served on brioche bun.

Our lunch menu features classic British dishes such as Fish & Chips made from locally caught fish deep-fried in beer batter served with chips (fries) mushy peas & tartar sauce along with other options like homemade soup of the day or Caesar Salad topped with grilled chicken breast strips.

For dinner time we have more substantial meals such as Steak Pie made from locally sourced beef slow-cooked in ale gravy served with chips or mash and seasonal vegetables. We also have vegetarian options like our Mushroom Stroganoff made from mushrooms, onions, garlic & cream sauce served with rice.

At Petes Eats, we take pride in our coffee and tea selection. We serve freshly brewed coffee made from locally roasted beans along with a variety of teas including traditional Welsh brews such as Welsh Breakfast Tea or Lapsang Souchong.

Our café is open seven days a week with extended hours on weekends to accommodate those who want to start their day early or end it late. Our current opening times are Friday 10:00 to 21:00 Saturday 08:00 to 21:00 Sunday 08:00 to 18:00 Monday - Thursday 10:00 to 18:00.

In addition to serving delicious food and drinks, Petes Eats is also committed to sustainability. We use biodegradable packaging for all of our takeaway items and recycle as much waste as possible.
