The light triggers at dusk and stays on for fifteen minutes before the door shuts, then turns off shortly after. The black finish of the Omlet feeder is exactly what I was looking for, but its real value lies in helping me manage the separate diets for my chickens. Since I’m raising four nine-week-old chicks alongside two adult Black Australorps, keeping their feeds distinct is essential. The build quality is impressive; the unit stayed completely dry even after some intense summer storms with strong winds, and the design makes it super easy for me to access and refill the food.
