JCI Portsmouth: Developing Leaders for a Better Future

JCI Portsmouth is a non-profit organization that aims to develop young leaders in the community. The organization provides opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as community involvement and networking. JCI Portsmouth believes that by developing leaders, they can create positive change in their communities and ultimately make the world a better place.

The organization was founded in 1954 and has since grown to become one of the most active JCI chapters in the UK. With over 100 members, JCI Portsmouth is dedicated to providing its members with opportunities for growth, development, and leadership.

One of the key focuses of JCI Portsmouth is personal development. The organization offers training programs that help members improve their communication skills, public speaking abilities, time management skills, and more. By giving back to the community through volunteering efforts such as beach cleanups or fundraising events for local charities like Rowans Hospice or Pompey In The Community (PITC), JCI Portsmouth helps its members develop a sense of civic responsibility while also making a positive impact on those around them.

JCI Portsmouth also hosts several annual events that bring together young professionals from across Hampshire including business conferences such as "The Big Networking Night" which attracts over 200 attendees each year from various industries across Hampshire & West Sussex; "The Young Entrepreneur Awards" which celebrates young entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions towards economic growth; "Portsmouth Business Expo" which is a platform for businesses to showcase their products and services.

JCI Portsmouth's commitment to developing leaders has not gone unnoticed. The organization has received numerous awards over the years, including the JCI UK Most Outstanding Local Organization Award in 2018.
