My experience with Jack 'N Tool Box in Santa Barbara was outstanding during our kitchen and living room remodel. Ed and Kate provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the results. I was particularly impressed by Ed’s willingness to visit the property multiple times after the job was done to discuss potential attic expansion and fix minor issues without charging extra. Kate and her subcontractor also demonstrated great attention to detail, returning three times to ensure the custom range hood casing fit perfectly. Beyond their craftsmanship, Ed streamlined the often frustrating county permitting process. They fixed issues promptly without adding unnecessary costs. I highly recommend Jack 'N Tool Box for their high-quality work and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Jack 'N Tool Box did a great job relocating my ceiling light, and Ed was very attentive throughout the process. Even though there was a slight delay at the start due to all the construction in Santa Barbara—like the Montecito projects—they finished the work on schedule. I was really happy with the craftsmanship and found the team to be friendly and professional.

Ed Hurd and his team at Jack 'N Toolbox in Santa Barbara made our extensive renovation of the bathroom and the rest of the house remarkably stress-free. Kate Yamasaki did a fantastic job as our designer, and Ed kept us in the loop with timely updates, clear timelines for each phase, and easy communication via phone. The crew was trustworthy, efficient, and made sure to tidy up their workspace every single evening. We are thrilled with the outcome and highly recommend Jack 'N Toolbox for anyone looking for reliable craftsmanship and excellent service.

My partner, Eric Koentges, and I turned to Jack 'N Tool Box for a remodel of our small home in the Mesa area. The experience started with Ed Hurd, Vice President, and designer Kate Yamasaki visiting the site for a detailed consultation. Kate offered several creative kitchen design options, and based on our selections, Ed prepared a competitive bid that we were pleased to accept. Construction kicked off in October 2015 and wrapped up in February 2016. Throughout the project, Ed, Kate, and their teams were consistently professional, courteous, and highly responsive. They provided excellent guidance on design choices and maintained clear communication, especially when unexpected issues arose during the renovation. We are thrilled with the results and the entire team at Jack 'N Tool Box, and we recommend them without reservation. Megan Moyer

We’ve trusted Jack 'N Tool Box in Santa Barbara with multiple projects over the last twenty years. Their portfolio includes a bathroom remodel, rebuilding two exterior staircases, fixing a slab leak, creating a laundry room, and swapping out a spiral staircase for a straight one. They also handled the renovation of the room beneath it and, perhaps most crucially, spotted and fixed a major structural issue left by previous owners right during the heavy rains in January 2005. In every case, they exceeded our expectations. The team listens intently, offers valuable advice, and always shows up on time, respectfully, and leaves the workspace clean. It’s been a genuine pleasure recommending them to friends, many of whom have since hired them based on our word.
