Camp Henry is a premier summer camp located in Newaygo, MI, in the heart of West Michigan. Established in 1937, Camp Henry has been providing life-changing experiences for campers, students, families and guests for over 80 years. The mission of Camp Henry is to provide an environment where individuals can grow spiritually, mentally and physically while having fun and building relationships.
At Camp Henry, we believe that every individual has unique gifts and talents that can be developed through experiential learning. Our programs are designed to help campers discover their strengths and passions while building confidence and self-esteem. We offer a wide range of activities including swimming, boating, archery, arts & crafts, sports & games as well as leadership development programs.
Our staff members are carefully selected based on their experience working with children and their commitment to our mission. They undergo extensive training before the start of each season to ensure that they are equipped with the skills necessary to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our campers.
One of the unique aspects of Camp Henry is our Christian environment. We believe that faith plays an important role in personal growth and development. Our programs incorporate biblical teachings into daily activities such as morning devotions or evening chapel services. However, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds regardless of their religious beliefs.
In addition to summer camps for children ages 5-17 years old (including day camps), we also offer retreats for adults throughout the year. These retreats provide opportunities for individuals or groups to relax and recharge while enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking or canoeing.
