After securing a 10 x 10 unit at Dymon Storage in Whitby, I arranged for the free offering of movers to move some home items into storage prior to staging our house for sale. The move consisted of moving a number of boxes, dresser drawer, two arm chairs, two bedroom chairs, a single bed and box spring, bed frame, and a rather large and heavy entertainment unit. The movers moved things along rather quickly and without incident until it came to our large entertainment unit. They bantered over who would carry the heavy end of the unit, and after they settled on carrying positions, they damaged the bottom of the unit lifting it onto the truck. When they arrived at Dymon to unload the truck, they once again damaged the side and top frame of the unit moving it into the facility. I mentioned this in the report I had to sign following the move. A day or two later, I was asked online about the move in an email and again mentioned the damage to the unit. They did respond and immediately asked me to file a transportation report describing the incident and damages. I was asked to include pictures, which I had taken the night of the move. They didn't receive my report submitted online, even though I received an automated email stating that they received it which mentioned they would respond in 24 hours. That didn't happened. After a week and a bit I responded to Customer Service asking what was happening, to which they replied they didn't get my incident report (even though I had their automated email from my submission. They asked me to resubmit and I did. Then still no response. After another email, I was asked if they could enter the unit and take it for repair. I said it was at the back of the unit and hard to get at. I asked what other options were available. No reply yet. After another couple for phone calls and left phone messages, still no reply. I have another 10 days until I retrieve my things with no resolution in site.
