This is a fantastic center that can address all of your mental health needs. They have case management, individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatry, and pharmacy. The front desk staff is beyond kind and welcoming. The only negative I can even think of is Terry the RN who really seems like she hates her job. But that's her issue, not yours!
Been coming to Zumbro valley on and off for 10 years. They have always been caring and helpful. They have tons of resources and aren't afraid to offer them up! When I've actively been active in my program within this program I have always came ahead and my life a little brighter. They really do care about the individual! If they do not have the resources then they WILL find you some!! Five stars and more if I could for zumbro valley, mental health!

This place is amazing. I have used many of it's programs. The staff are all very understanding and helpful. You never feel judged or embarrassed. Many people come here and I know one staff in particular that greets everyone by name. That is a person that truly cares. So if you stop in be sure to say hi to Ellie.

Ok, I m not saying this place is terrible. I acknowledge that half the reasons I am dissatisfied with this place was pain related to the choices I made in MY OWN LIFE, but here are many reasons why you should go somewhere else! 1) They didn t allow me my own PRESCRIBED meds and accused my friend of drug seeking her PRESCRIBED meds. 2) They laughed and humiliated multiple people, including myself out loud and made it blatantly obvious. Half of these clients are hallucinating from withdrawals and here they are talking up a storm like high school bullies (only night shift. The rest were amazing!) 3) They humiliated my friend and proceeded to hand her a grievance form afterward to express her concerns for safety as they laughed and walked away. 4) They pushed controlled substances on me before my own over-the-counter medicine, which is clearly not why someone would go to detox. If you can give someone a Valium no problem but grimace at a request for PRESCRIBED over-the-counter meds, it shows their priority is not the patient. Consider becoming a correctional officer in our prison system before pushing pills on people who WILLINGLY volunteered themselves to come and get clean. My experience was dissatisfying, slightly traumatic, and I will see this issue to the state if I need to. Your facility is violating multiple ethic principles of Psychology (half of the techs do not seem qualified enough to even know them). As a recovering addict and human being, I will do everything in my power to get this treacherous place closed down and send these girls with wannabe ghetto attitudes back to fast food. Else and Jay, you are awesome though, and thank you for bringing some real-world perspective to the unit. It felt good that I could at least relate to someone who worked there, much less talk to them without being laughed at or judged. Otherwise, as far as I m concerned, this place is corrupt from the top to the bottom. You will not torment fellow human beings for sick satisfaction. Go cause misery in your own lives and leave others out of it!
