Zuma is a nice place and with many good reviews, however my experience left a lot to be desired. Met with a few friend s one Thursday evening and the service was horrible. Well this particular waiter was the worst. I think he is called Vivek or Videk, it was too loud to get his name, so I could have heard wrong.
My friends already had their drinks, as I came in late from work. This waiter came to our table, I asked for a drink, he said to give him 5 minutes, fair enough- as the place was busy. 20 minutes later, I had no drink yet, I signaled at him, he acknowledged said he was bringing my drink. 30 minutes later, still no drink. 50 minutes later, he came back to our table took everyone s order including mine again. 5 minutes later he comes back with everyone s drink except mine. I asked this man if he had a problem serving me a drink and he said he his sorry he didn t see me. I asked for the manager, who also backed him up, saying he is one of their best waiters and she apologized on his behalf saying he is sorry but he didn t see me. How could he have not seen me, when he actually spoke to me before and asked to give him 5 mins.I left the place a few minutes after speaking to the Manager.
This is bad service that shouldn t be expected from a place like Zuma.

Enjoyed the lively ambience with fairly good service. Food wise, just passable.

Always consistently great with it s upbeat vibe and nice crowd, Zuma is super nice any day of the week, you should book in advance if you want to go on a weekend. Order the salmon and tuna tartar. Best dish there is the Black Cod. Order the grilled edamame for a change they re great. The meat is superb as well.

Really great for lunch. The food is good, and the place has a nice atmosphere. The staff is nice and friendly. Quality is consistent with other branches as well.

One of the best Japanese fine dining restaurants in Dubai, Lovely atmosphere,felt so warm . Perfect service and delicious food. Better reserve in advance. One great service they provide is knowing about any food allergy and assisting in orders that are suitable. Strongly recommended. Considered a bit pricey, but worth it. From A-Z everything was excellent, food taste atmosphere staff. When I called for the reservation the lady who attended my call was very polite and patient , she answered in a very professional manner to all my query s with regards to the food and drinks. From the entrance to the table we were guided by beautiful and charming Italian hostes . There were many servers multi nationalities who came to our table , hardly to remember all their names but 4 of them were very impressive because of their way of approaching and their friendliness like Supranto,Isa,Kxenya and Daniela .They were really courteous. They went out of their way to please us. I truly appreciate their efforts. Everyone was so pleasant, cheerful and energetic. Overall, it was genuinely a delightful experience. Till the next visit ... thank you ...

Rules are not for everyone. Security said only for groups. The he let some people to enter.

It is very difficult to get a table and sometime their attitude is bad (they act so full of themselves when you want a booking) but their food is to die for!!!i just discovered Zuma Bamboo for dessert and I just loved it

My favorite restaurant, the best lunch where the atmosphere is quieter at the time ... They have valet parking and the ticket is stamped when paying the bill of the restaurant, and the staff to stay very and advise you new meals and very responsive with us, the food is very very tasty especially the sea in the abbreviation preferable to Abu Dhabi branch For the quality of the food in it (images from my favorite list) I added a picture of a very delicious new dish that I hope you can try

Alltime evergreen for great drinks, vibe, music, people... and of course food is amazing too

I have usually come here at night but last week we came to have business lunch. It was spectacular, especially all those little appetizers. It was value for money for the business lunch, however, I have been told it is crazy expensive if you want to come here for dinner.

It is always good to have a nice fish at Zuma. Two of my favorites are the famous Cod and Seabass. The food tastes great and service is fantastic.

The staff at reception is really friendly and they try to accommodate you as much as possible. I like sitting on the first floor as it has comfortable couches and view is great.

Their food is really good and staff is fantastic the problem is that their waiters take advantage of people that have been drinking and overcharge people also if someone is paying over 1000 aed for 2 people the least you can do is give valet parking for the duration of the brunch not half an hour less. 21st century robbery

Spicy edamame, iceberg lettuce, langoustine wrapped, chilli lemon chicken wings, corn, miso wagyu ribs, and any sushi of your choice you wont fo wrong with any of them. For desert see the photo here i cant remember the name.

One of the Best restaurants in Dubai and in the world, lots of varieties of food and quality, great staff and atmosphere, price wise comparing to the quality is acceptable!

The cocktails were above any expectations and food was magnificent .Basically if you are into Japanese cuisine the Zuma is the most famous place to visit and it definitely worth it. My friend and me just asked a taxi driver what is the best place in Dubai and he told us without any concern that it is Zuma.So we popped in and were amazed.Strongly advise this place for everyone who is fond of sushi .

I was one of Zuma s regular clients and then suddenly they started to decide who can get in and who cannot, I know the rules and regulations and policy, standards or whatever and I m sure that what they re choosing depending on their mood who gets in is not right. Specially when I m standing at the door and others just walk in without any reservation just because they know them... I m I smelling racism here ?!!!! It s very unprofessional and impolite from a very big name...I m gonna share this with all my contacts about the experience I had !!!

Outstandingly good food and amazingly helpful staff. I was more then amazed.

As always, Zuma seems to be a great place in whichever city you happen to find it. This one has great service and it s located in a great part of town. Nice for a business lunch or long dinner. Decoration is excellent and the food is very high quality.
Only complaint is that there are not many vegan options. No vegan deserts and no vegan milks :(

yesterday was my birthday and we booked a table there at 7:30, i called them around 6pm and asked them to change our timing to 8 pm but the said we can have a table only till 9:30 and after we have to give it to new customer.
its for me very poor etiquette and tried to talked to manager ms .... but still she said the same. Its very painful to have cheap quality and untrained people in team or give bad direction to keep the table only for 2 hours We have been last night in coya for started and drinks and after we got main course at Nusret and tried our best to forget cheap quality customer service of Zuma. I love dubai and wish we can do it better and better if we write our suggestion and reviews.

A place for once in a while. The food is overpriced for a very little amount and its not with a great view.

Inventive menu and dishes. A little more expensive than it should be. Try to get seated away from DJ booth in the evenings if you want to converse during your meal.

Good place to hang out, the prices are crazy. The food deserve it. Must go there.

Best fine dining in dubai. Ambience, taste, and service.

Zuma, it is one of my favourite Japanese restaurants, I m really in love with the staff, the traditional way of serving & how delicious the food is.
Surely I am returning again & again.

The tempura was very good, but the sushi was not up to par.

From the last, the restaurant is very normal, but if the appearances end with you are more important than the restaurant, then this restaurant suits you because it is not worth the price you pay.

Your GM, is a rude person with a whole lot of attitude! While my friends made a reservation and were inside, she wouldn't let me in. Your exclusivity is not gonna get u anywhere! It's 2019, exclusive venues are so old style! Get a proper GM that won't use her power to mention she is the GM. How do you even hire people?!?!?! The 1st thing she mentioned, was, I'm the GM, I didn't realise that that made her the owner of the place. As a fact, many people complained, that how could you be over capacity if people were leaving right infront of us, specially when we had tables booked! Instead of hiring power hungry people, you might want to focus on hiring the proper staff. I as a fact, won't be coming here anymore, nor recommending this racist, bad attitude of a place. There's a million other places, that offer better service.

I would love to go to this restaurant, I would really love to get to know Dubai, whoever is able to fulfill my dream.

For an after dinner, well-frequented venue, beautiful music and beautiful winds.

The food was Immaculate. You must try the chicken on the menu. The sushi was great and the chocolate lava cake was great. I would highly recommend this place it is very professional and it took a very long time to get a reservation to hear. This is no coincidence they are seriously the top of the line

So, we were at the famous Zuma Dubai.
We don t talk about price here as I don t even know the cost of ingredients, alcohol, Labor, rent etc and I was always annoyed with people who just complain on it.

The restaurant is beautifully done with two floors; restaurant on the bottom floor and bar on top floor with reception.

It s a izakaya style restaurant which was said in a menu but it was very difficult to read. I wondered if there is no Japanese staff working in this restaurant or company. On each dishes they have two explanations with English and Japanese but in Roman letters with lots of mistakes. No one understands this side unless you are Japanese or Japanese speaker. It would be much more guest friendly if you just use Japanese or nothing.

The dishes are nicely presented but I found every dishes were salty and miso soup was not hot enough. Maybe I need more understanding on the culture of people here prefers more saltiness in flavor and not used to have hot soup.
My husband liked most of dishes and I finished most of dishes too.

Staff were friendly but the lady at the valet wasn t as welcoming she should be when we came in and out.

But overall for a Japanese restaurant outside of Japan, we enjoyed the dinner.

Interesting decor in the restaurant in DIFC. Location is easy to drive past and the valet is underground, rather than at the hotel by the entrance itself.
Black cod & sushi served here was delicious. The steamed dumplings and beef was not good, far too salty and pricey for what was served.
Litchi & Rose martini was delicious. Overall ambience at the bar is good, live DJ music which sets a cool vibe. I would visit here again, but make sure to book in advance as this place gets booked up!

Very good food and excellent service. You can taste traditional Japanese flavors but with a twist. Lunch set is very worth it. Will definitely visit again.
