Great tour! Lots of information about the history of the area.
Sam and Rose were our guides and they are all awesome!
We Zipped, we Trekked. The most fun i ve had with my clothes on in some time!
Some cool styles: Laughing buddha, Mexican sleeper, Frankenstein.
Kea tour was fantastic! Definitely was chilly even tho it was a warm day. Both my guides were awesome
Rip off for the price. I just hope most of the money I paid for the flying foxes similar to what you get in a FREE kids playground goes to helping the wildlife. Very unclear as to where you were to go. Turns out it's at the other end of a $40 gondola ride (unless you wanna trek up the side of the mountain for over an hour) as well as a $75 fee because we had to reschedule (due to the confusion). It would be nice if you were to warn people about the parking situation and extra costs for the gondola ride. Don't recommend if you're on a student budget like me, and want an adrenalin rush, the local park is more worth it.
Great experience. Well worth it and a good time was had by all. Thanks to the team taking us through and the final speedy zip line was awesome
Super fun. Best way to get down the hill doing the 6 line track. Was awesome to see goats just chilling in the bottom of the last line.
The guides were amazing and were passionate in their jobs.
I went on the Kereru zipline tour with guides Niko and AJ. It was fun and informative, as I was there on holiday. 5* fun tour w/the Queenstown gandola ride, totally worth the price!
Great entertainment! We did the Kea tour with 6 lines, which was really cool. The guides were great! Warm clothes (really warm!) are highly recommended!
Had a great time with my brothers doing the Kea tour. We went with Juan and Jone as our guides and they were great at teaching us about the history of the trees we were zipping through and some ideas about sustainability as well as keeping us safe while pushing our comfort zones.
Great staff, friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about the environment.
Amazing experience. Very professional and friendly staff. They made our experience even better then I expected. Big thank you to you guys!!!
Our zip line guides were great and very professional.
Should ve done 6 lines, lots of fun..
Would be nice if the gas heaters were on though in the tree huts.
Excellent!
Staff Jess and Sam were very kind. I had lot of fun there.
Had an awesome time on the zip lines. Guides Lily and Inge were a bit crazy, but on the good side. Very professional operation of the zip lines and safety protocols. I always felt like I was in good hands. The fun does have quite a price tag attached, though.
Amiee and Joe were really friendly and shared lots of interesting information, the views are amazing and the zips are so much fun. This is totally worth every dollar.
A huge thanks to our two awesome guides Georgia and Rose. Really knowledgeable about the environment and the tour. Great to see two amazing young people who are passionate about their job and who genuinely care for their customers safety. The scenery was mind blowing. Thank you team for a really fun afternoon.
Great experience with wonderful guides Rylee and Laura. Very informative and happy to answer our questions and have a chat.
Ziplines on Kea tour were amazing!!
We had an absolutely fantastic afternoon. Our tour guides Toby and Rose were very friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend and will visit again next time we are in New Zealand!
Great guides Dan and Becca made the experience really fun.
Loved the journey that came with the zip line. Nice to hear back ground on queenstown and what there trying to achieve. Staff was great, informative and very friendly
What an incredible experience. Did the 6 line tour and loved every second of it. Had Harry and Declan guiding us down the lines and they were funny, caring and informative. The ziplines themselves were so much fun, and the views out of the trees were beautiful. It sounds like Ziptrek are doing their bit for the environment too which is great.
My wife and I can't recommend this experience highly enough!
Liam and Nico were champion guides. Safe, exciting, incredible ride progressively through to beautiful views and 6 varied ziplines building to the Grand finish, what a rush!!! Great for all ages and fitness levels. Highly recommended.
I booked online for a single person. They ask that you call 24 hours in advance if you are a single person. I did, and was happy to find out that they had room for me that same day. i paid for the Kea route which is $195 + $44 for the gondola. The man on the phone said check in is 30min prior. I arrive at ziptrek in town 20min prior and was told i had to be at the top of the gondola 30min prior not the town office. A $50 rescheduling fee was then proposed. I was quite outraged as no one had told me that and the email they send goes automatically to spam (and their website doesnt tell you this is a possibility). after consideration, they decided to reschedule me for a later time with no fee.
The experience itself : for me $250 is a big splurge and it better be worth it. the $44 return ticket you pay for is actually only a one way ticket since you go down on the zipline. There is a way to walk up if you'd like, its about 45min. for The kea route id have to say if you can afford it, do it, otherwise, dont be too upset if you cant do it. the 6 ziplines get longer as you go which is awesome but honestly its not worth the money. The website says its about 3 hours total which is true but 75% of the time you are either talking with the guides about stuff they talk about to stall you .. or your just waiting to get on the zip. there isnt actually much walking involed and its mostly just waiting for your turn to zipline.
The staff were casual yet very very professional. I think i had Anabelle and Callum? not too sure of their names.. it was an English girl and a kiwi lad from Auckland. but they honestly made the experience a whole lot more pleasant, cracked jokes, had a laugh and a jolly good time but you could clearly see they prioritized our safety, happiness, and comfortability.
All in all, zipline was fun and ziptrek's service showed they care a lot about their customers, you really do get treated well here.
Would I do it again? most likely not.. but i dont really regret doing it either
Fast flying fun! Thank you Gordon and Kayla for a safe and friendly glide between the trees.
Did the 2 zip. Professional guides. Totally recommend it. Zipline including guided tour on some of the interesting history.
Great experience guides were lovely and so engaging however i don't agree with guides carrying all the harnesses at the end! Guests are more than capacity of walking with tjere harnesses on! Overall is fab
It's very fun. If arriving at Queenstown Recommend to play not very thrilling but natural while playing the most beautiful Cannot be found anywhere else in the world
My Fiance and I were incredibly lucky to have our Ziptrek tour in Queenstown- just the two of us! Our guides Tom and Jacques were friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and provided us with a memorable experience. Despite being scared of heights, Tom and Jacques described the activity and safety mechanisms clearly and encouraged me to overcome my fear with lots of fun on the side :) We hope to do the 6 line tour next time we come to Queenstown!
Awesome experience, incredible scenery and very professional guides. Thanks Juan and Georgia for a great day!
So much fun! The guides are knowledgeable and personable, and I felt totally safe. Recommended highly!
Guide Laura and her partner(forgot his name) very friendly and patient. We enjoy the trip and the view along the zipline. We selected 4lines tour. Laura and her partner will explain how is the formation of the surrounding natural landscape, what we can do to preserve the environment. Is a fun tour, highly recommended. Its safe! And worth the money
We had really awesome guide! Lily and Boone were super fun!
Juan Lawrence and Johny took us out today. We had friends over from South Africa and wanted to treat them to something special. We had a magnificent time with lots of laughter and screams. Our two guides were just amazing with super amazing skills and knowledge!!! Well done Ziptrek!!! You will see me again!!!
Blessings Glaudie and Friends!!!
Did the 6 line tour and loved it. I m terrified of heights (and it was my first time) but our guides made it really fun and comfortable for me. Absolutely would do again. I also really like the focus on sustainability.
What a fun and thrilling experience. We had a great couple of hours on the 6 line tour. The team did a great job..Very professional with an interesting and informative guide to the conservation of the area...along with the fun of zip lining from tree to tree. More fun and thrills than we expected. Highly recommended!
Absolutely fantastic experience! I was scared of heights, but no more! The wonderful "Zip instructors" put me at ease and I was flying through the air with arms outstretched upside down! My daughter and I loved every minute and we'll be back in Queenstown to try the longer line next time. The Zipline is a MUST on the to do list for everyone!
My wife and I had a great time, lots of thrills ziplining, and even learned a bit with their informative ecotour. Riley and her associate were super friendly, well trained, knowledgable, and patient with us. Especially, since I have issues with heights haha. Look forward to more fun adventures in Queenstown next time, cheers!
We did this a few weeks ago. Nico and Simon were great, we had four adults and 4 kids do the zip lining The guys helped the scared ones gain confidence, and the confident ones push themselves a bit further. We all really enjoyed it, thank very much!
My uncle trent works there I haven't been on it yet but I like your web and I want to check it out and have a go at it.
Went on this with my 9yo son. We had a ball. They are very safety conscious and loved the Eco-sustainability touch ;). Will be in touch for the framework you have used as we try to implement similar strategies into our own business (Millennium Technology). Thanks Riley and Z for the fantastic experience!!!
It was an amazing ride down the zip lines and the guides did do some education about the surrounding ecosystem and the world ecosystem as well. It was so memorable!
Did the short tour with Toby and Jack. Was a lot of fun, definitely recommend!
A must do activity in Queenstown! We did the 4 line Moa tour. Kieran and Nada were our guides. Both were terrific!
Guides were professional, fun and friendly. But the ziplines were all too short and werent that exciting.
Had the best time with Aj and Harry as our guide. Thanks for the great zip line tour . Keep up the great work.
Great experience, really lovely tour guides who were very knowledgeable and friendly (Jone and Cari). Views are spectacular and fun way to see them.
Special thank you to the tour guides as well as the guest service rep. They did an outstanding job overall. We were given very good instruction which made the experience worthwhile. I would say this does not meet my adrenaline rush that I was looking for but overall its a great family attraction. I had to remove a star due to most of the pictures did not show up on the site. They also charge you just to save the pictures to your computer. Glad we brought along a go pro to really get memories in place. The 4 stars are strictly for the tour guides. They made this experience worth the money. I will try to post pictures off Go Pro in the future.
What an amazing experience. Our family of three did the Moa tour. Our guides, Bobby and Sascha, were fantastic and the trip was fun, thrilling and interesting. Highly recommend
We did the Kereru tour and had an absolutely fantastic time. The two zips were so much fun and the drop was exhilarating. The guides we had (Sam and Rose) were absolutely amazing. They were informative, fun and so professional and competent. I couldnt praise them highly enough.
We did the Kea Tour (6 zip lines)
It was really fun because they taught us how to do fun tricks like going upside down and going off the platform backwards. They also taught us how to ball up to go faster on the steepest zipline. I felt very safe and secure the whole time.
The views were really stunning in some places, and it included some good information on the local environment and history, which I appreciated.
There was quite a bit of wait time at each platform as we waited for the rest of the group. We were supposed to finish by 5 and we actually finished around 5:20, which made us rush a bit to our next activity, but overall not a big deal, especially since this was mostly due to two last minute sign ups to the group just as we were about to leave.
I loved the zip lines, the tour and the views on Ziptrek but the one problem I had with Ziptrek is that the guides were a little bit off especially William UK. For instance William was skinny, he had ginger hair and he was British. The problem is, William was very rude towards my mum, I mean he made a funny comment about my mum's shoes, even when Mum and I were walking to the final zip line and William the guide was walking to fast and we had to catch up with him while mum, me and the other guests were nervous about falling off the steep mountain and as soon as we catch up to him, William and he did not say if we're alright he just commented us by saying, " Oh what took you so long you should have catched up with us ha ha." Mum and I thought to our our selves, " You cheeky bastard, what did you expect?" It made Mum and I feel like he was trying to himiliate me and Mum and he was also trying challenge in a unthoughtfull rude way and Will I Am even smirked at a different guest. If I was any of you, I would come back for the zip lining and the views, but I think you have watch for guides a little bit.
We had so much fun zip lining withe Ziptrek Ecotours! Andy, Jack, Liam and Arjun were great hosts for our experience, proving interesting facts and jokes along the way. We booked the 6 line 'Kea' experience which I highly recommend, it's only a little more in cost, and does not disappoint, as it ends with the worlds fasted zip line.
Arjun even gave us a few suggestions for dining options around town, and he was certainly right about how food Fat Badgers and Bespoke Kitchen was.
This experience is certainly one to book when in Queenstown. The ticket does not include the $35 cost for the gondola to the top of the mountain (many activities do not include this). So you can either buy a gondola ticket, or like we did, walk up the mountain following the Tiki Trail. This steep terrain takes 1hr, but we managed it in 52 mins.
Pack lightly when you do the zip line, and all loose items can be packed in a bag carried by one of your hosts. Personal GoPro on small handles and body mounts are allowed, as well as mobile phones if you can secure them.
Such a great trip! Highly recommended. Love the sustainability talks
Such a great way to get amongst the nature, learn about the culture and sustainability all whilst having and amazing crew leaf is through. The guys were very professional yet made it a really fun and personable experience as it ended up being a private session.
Lots of fun, laughs and stunning views!
2 zip with drop: Absolutely stunning experience. Sam and Nada were the best guides of any experience done in Queenstown, with untold knowledge and passion for the area, as well as the low down on conservation of the native flora and fauna. A MUST DO in Queenstown, without any doubt. Thanks so much for an incredible day.
Fantastic experience thanks to our guides Sam and Obi (the Force is strong with this one ) were so friendly and knowledgeable - inspired us heaps about our living our beautiful country and the world xx would do this again! Might even go upside down next time
Had an awesome time with these guys. Our guides, Max and Obe were A1! They were super friendly and made ziplining so much more fun. Also, shout out to Miranda (i hope I ve got your name right. Apologies if I somehow misheard your name) for booking us in last minute and helping me book this surprise for my husband s 30th! Definitely recommend this !
My kids did the 6 zipline. They had so much fun. Highly recommend.
This was the highlight of adventuring for the day. Can't recommend more highly
Really friendly staff and guides, good Information about sustainability and adventurous ziplines
We did the Kea 6-Line tour with tour guides Alice and Jack back in September and it was worth every cent! They were super knowledgeable of preserving our environment, the history of Queenstown, as well as how to finesse the ziplines. Next time we're in Queenstown we would absolutely book another tour - maybe this time, the one with the drop haha.
Bobby and Jone were fantastic, knowledgeable, fun guides. The lines themselves are great and a lot of fun (especially upside-down) and the info presented in between is also very interesting and valuable. Highly recommended.
FANTASTIC experience!! Our family had so much fun last week (Moa experience) with your wonderful guides Annabelle and Alex. Loved the ECO/environmental ed part of the experience as much as the zipline. Thank you for being leaders in the tourism field with your important messages about sustainability and conservation!!
This was so much fun. A great way to get a little local knowledge about the local environment while hanging upside down from a zip line! Our guides Gordon and Kayla were so sweet, and a pleasure to spend time with It's pricey, but the organisation donates to a social enterprise, and is trying to live and spread a message of sustainability. All in all, good value!
A fair bit of fun, the people who helped us with the tour where knowledgable and nice, and the tour itself was long but certainly not boring.
The ziplining itself was also pretty fun, and as you are surrounded by trees, slightly less scary? No idea. They do teach you how to go upside down if you want to as well though.
Pictures are a little expensive for what you get.
So, yeah, I recommend it.
friendly staff who make the experience even more amazing
What an amazing experience. Definitely worth checking out. Fantastic, chatty and guides that are full of great information. That last zipline was so fast! So much fun!
Amazing experience ,kids loved it, highly recommend, thanks Rose and Georgia for the excellent work, we would love to come back again for more amazing experience
Super fun and easy. We did the 4-line Moa Tour and Nada and Beau were super friendly and made everyone at ease. They also did a few mini talks on history and nature in Queenstown - super informative and interesting. Would recommend to people of all ages :D
Loved my first time doing a Ziptrek tour - found the tour very informative as well. Would highly recommend.
I originally booked a different date but each timeslot requires a min of 2 ppl to have signed up. After back and forth emails, I just went to the office and rescheduled in person. They were super friendly and switched my reservation without hassles.
My appt was for a 6-line at 9:40am. I decided to hike up Tiki trail in the morning to catch the sunrise. It took me a little under 1 hour. However the morning chill was intolerable with my wet sweat. I arrived 15 min early before my designated timeslot and was shivering. I told them I wish I bundled up more and they have a whole closet of extra jackets in different sizes. THIS WAS A GODSEND. I know diffinitively that I would've been miserable without it.
After checking in, which included filling out a waiver, they were a little late to get started. My group included me and another person. I enjoyed the small group setting as there was less waiting to get buckled in and more intimate time with the guides. They strapped us in and I felt informed and safe along the whole journey. I was able to strap my action camera to my harness.
Between each of the lines, there's some time fillers on their ecological impact and history about NZ. The actual zip lines felt short and not very fast. Line 4 had an awesome view and line 6 was the longest/fastest. As an adrenaline junkie, this set up does not hit the spot. There are some tricks you could do to spice it up (backwards drop, flip, etc) but the length and speed of just doesn't cut it. It felt like a glide and not a zip.
Shout-out to my guides, Nada and Freyda, for being informative and awesome at their jobs!!
Shout out to Henry for booking my friend and I last minute as well as Saphire and Nico for being awesome guides! All the staff were super personable and wanted to give everyone the best experience possible
Great experience with stunning scenery with two great guide.
We had a great time and the guides were very nice. Nico was a cool guy!
A must-do if you're in Queenstown. Breathtaking views and very friendly staff. Informative and made us feel safe.
We had a wonderful time today on our tour with Bobby and Jonny! They were awesome guides and made us feel at ease through the whole trip. We couldn't recommend this enough!
My girlfriend (now fiance due to this adventure) and I spent 3 days in Queenstown and we had the pleasure of dedicating one of these days getting engaged on the kea tour!! I had coordinated with Ziptrek special instructions on how I wanted to propose and they were more than accommodating! They had everything organized as I requested, had a third guide accompany us to film our big event, presented us with a bottle of bubbly when we were done, and gave us access to all of the photos at their expense. The team were knowledgable, supportive, and fun.
We are so happy and grateful that we were able to share our special event with Ziptrek and had an amazing time zip lining down Bob's Peak. We would recommend this adventure to anyone who loves thrills and learning about the Queenstown landscapes!
Thanks again Ziptrek!!
What a wonderful experience for my kids and I. The team was very helpful and accommodating for both my 5yr old and 8yr old. They allowed them to do the tour by combining them with an experienced guide in tandem on the zip line.
My kids absolutely enjoyed themselves and would definitely do it again. We did the 4 lines which are the more appropriate levels for my kids. If your more adventurous then you can tackle the last 2 lines, one of which I believe is the fastest line in the southern hemisphere...
We tried the Moa Tour with 4 ziplines. Nico and Nada were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a very pleasant experience and we would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Queenstown!
A great experience worth a try! Admire the breathtaking views of Queenstown while taking part in a fun and safe activity! The two guides were very professional and made you feel comfortable the entire experience, while educational at the same time. Highly recommend the 6 line tour!
I went with my family on the Kea tour and everyone really enjoyed it. Our guides Rebekah and Andrea were knowledgeable and helpful - it was a lot of fun that could be enjoyed by a whole range of ages and we learned a few things about NZ too. We had a good walk up from the bottom (decided not to take the Gondola) but it was well worth it - cheers guys.
If we hadn't already gone zip-lining in Rotorua we would have clearly had a great time here in Queenstown, but having gone 10 days earlier this one was just less special and less impressive. Canopy Tours in Rotorua had the special feeling of being in an actual forest, isolated from anything else, and zipping from tree to tree with nothing artificial surrounding us, and many beautiful walks and hikes between zips.
This one requires a pricey 30 dollar Skyline gondola ride just to get there (something we hadn't been warned when booking), once there you are surrounded by other fun things such as mountain bikers and the luge. All fun activities but certainly not like being in nature with any level of quiet isolation. The actual zip lines are of course fun, the guides were good, but it just didn't have any of the specialness that we know are possible from our Rotorua trip.
Thus an overall good review, but nothing special unfortunately.
Definitely something that must be done. It's not extremely scary but it is amazing. I only did the shorter trip but should have done the longer one. The guides were also great - Henri and someone else whose name I can't remember (sorry).
Foss and James were wonderful guides who made every effort to make sure we had a good time! As for the tour itself, it was very informative and I find the 4 steps very creative.
Great fun! Guides are very friendly and professional as well.
A must try activity with the wonderful view of Queenstown! This tours not only entertain people but also educate them, letting tourists know, while we are enjoying the wonderful place of the locals, we also need to respect and protect them. So that this place can be sustainable!
A must join tour in the town!
Nice guides and tour. With lots och history and knowledge.
The last zip (6) goes fast
Helpful and friendly staff that provided great enjoyment for the family.
Fun tour. Great views. Guides were great. Would definitely recommend.
Had a really great time doing the tour. Our guides Aimee and Juan were really friendly and fun to be with, we had little ones in our group as well and they were amazing with them too. I would say that the website should maybe be more clear in regards to how to get there, we re locals so we knew it was at the top of the gondola and knew we also had the option to walk up, but If I was a tourist, I can see how this information could be easily looked over. (Website/ticket also didn t mention the walk option leading people to believe the only way up was to pay for the gondola, for a couple it isn t too bad but if you had a family it could get pricey) Will be recommending this place to friends!
I just did the 6 line tour with Liam and Jack, what a blast. These two men were a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the area and the environment. The zipping is super cool even for an old guy.
Keep up the great work.
Big thanks to Dev and Rose. Was the best experience. Would highly recommend to everyone.
