I've always had such a great experience at Zinke salon! It is very well ran and the stylists are always so friendly!

I ve been having my hair done by Nina for years and it is amazing every time! My cut is perfect & my color (no matter what it is) is toned just right. The head massage is my favorite! Had a great first experience at Zinke. Annie cut my hair with amazing precision and care. She took such time to get it exact. We made a pretty dramatic change and Annie took great care to make it just right. I have received more compliments on my new "hair" than I think I ever have about a hair cut. Everyone wants to know where I had it done. Big shout out to Annie and the salon. This is my new place for sure!

I loved a friend's hair and asked her where she went and she told me Zinke so I booked an appointment. My only regret was that it took 3 different stylists to actually get an appointment within the next 2 weeks. That is how booked up they are or rather I should say that is how good they are! I really enjoyed the experience from the essential oil neck massage to the hand massage and I liked my stylist. I would definitely recommend Zinke and have to 4 people.

I have been getting my hair done here for a while and it is always amazing! Whether you go in for a trim or the most expensive service they offer you are always treated like royalty. The whole experience feels like a mini vacation, from the neck and shoulder massage at the start of your service to the end. Megan is wonderful and knows what I want better than I do, but every stylist in the place is friendly, knowledgeable, and talented. The whole place is wonderful, and I can t say enough about how much I enjoy going in! Thanks Zinke team!!

Marissa Mowry gave me the best haircut I've ever received. Highly technical cut, amazing chair-side conversation. I would highly recommend asking for her. I don't write many reviews but I felt compelled.

I had an absolute amazing experience with Angela at Zinke! She was extremely professional and personable! She started off with a wonderful massage that relaxed me after a hard days work! She walked me through every step of the way, explaining her process and the great Aveda products! I honestly can t wait to see Angela again when I go back in 6 weeks for my next step on the journey from red/brunette to BLONDE! Would HIGHLY recommend!!!

I've been here twice now and saw Jaqueline, and I couldn't be more pleased! I have a weird attachment to my hair and was nervous getting my super long hair cut (for the first time in 3 years, I had a previously very bad experience with another stylist) but she did an amazing job and I just went back the other day to get it cut even shorter! Couldn't be happier with this place!

Meryl cut and styled my hair today. She was fantastic! Really nice, and sweet. She gave me a few tips on how to better care for my hair and some curling tips! She was really wonderful.

I'm super picky about my hair because its long and curly and everyone has their own idea of what they want to do with it. Megan is amazing... we talked everything over and my hair looks wonderful!! watching all the girls doing there thing, I would feel confident to go to any one of them :-). I would like to add that I Drive all the way to Littleton to be seen there. Easy to get into and I preferred friends who are willing to drive because my hair looks so good :-).

This is an update to my previous review back in 2012. Clearly, I've been a client for a very long time. I travel for a living. I don't live in Boulder but I am there 2-4x per year and always go to Zinke Hair Studio. I also go to an Aveda studio in Charlottesville, VA. One of the biggest differences between the two, Zinke Hair Studio provides weekly training for all their stylists. This means they are up-to-date with the latest cutting and coloring techniques. This training makes their stylists exceptional. I don't know of any other hair studio that provides weekly training. If you want a great experience visit Zinke Hair Salon.

This is by far the best salon I have ever stepped foot into! Such a professional and friendly staff and a beautiful, well thought environment. The quality of service for my cut and brow wax were outstanding. I will definitely spread the word that this is the best Aveda salon in the Boulder area!!!

Courtney was awesome. The neck and shoulder massage was something I've never had anywhere before. She took her time with me, I never felt rushed around. Not to mention I am in love with my hair. I haven't been this happy with a haircut in a long time. Can't wait to go get a cut and color next time! Prices were lower than I've spent anywhere else, worth the drive from Denver/Lakewood.

Lauren is a fabulous stylist, and always cuts and styles my hair to leave it with a natural flow. I am so pleased I found Zinke!

Megan is wonderful! Everything about this salon is high class from seeing the appointment, the reminder process and the best hasn't even been yet. They offer a shoulder massage, aroma therapy with a nice beverage and then we begin. The color is always spot on and so natural and so is the style. I always feel great when I walk out the door. It's a superior place to be.

Julia did a fantastic job on my cut and color! I love the blond highlights - they look bright and natural at the same time, which isn't easy to do. The salon has a nice relaxed vibe in the middle of Boulder. Thank you, Zinke!

Tbh getting around Denver is a pain, especially getting to Boulder because traffic makes public transportation interesting (because atm car ownership looks retarded lol) so they are definitely the best or I really wouldn't go so far to get a haircut lol

When I met Megan my hair was a total mess, and she's provided me with some serious haircovery. I've been dark dark brown, bleach blonde, and everything in between, no matter what my look at the moment, Megan has nailed it.

I enjoy my time with the entire Zinke Knoebel crew when I'm there. They REALLY make you feel like you're part of their family.

I just left, and I already can't wait to go back!

I absolutely loved my haircut with Meryl! This is the first time I have cut my hair short and actually liked it! She understood what I wanted and did it exactly. She was also fun to talk to as I was getting my cut. I will definitely be back.

Guys. If you need someone who will do an amazing pixie, go to Cassidy! I have had pixies before and it s not the easiest cut. She put so much love into it and absolutely killed it. Highly recommend!

I've been seeing Jacqueline James at Zinke for almost two years and I've received consistently good haircuts from her so good, in fact, that I carry her card around with me for those times I'm asked, "who cuts your hair?" I came to Zinke after guiltily leaving a talented-yet-turbulent stylist at another salon, and I immediately loved Zinke's vibe that's high on efficiency and low on chaos. Jacqueline is incredibly talented, style-forward, and super-friendly. And those addictive, luscious-smelling Aveda products? Just icing on the cake.

I had to go on here to praise Michelle and this amzing salon. She treated me to the BEST hair style and color I've had in my entire life! She spent so much time and care giving me my new look, as well as making me feel like a queen with the hand and neck massages, essential oils, and all around amazing service. I walked out of the salon feeling refreshed, relaxed and energized all at the same time. Today was my second time visiting Zinke for highlights and lowlights and I have been very pleased both times! I have now had Lindsay and Katelin do my hair at Zinke and my highlights looked so natural each time. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they did exactly what I asked. Both Lindsay and Katelin are extremely talented! I will be back.

I had my hair highlighted, cut and blown out by extraordinaire hair stylist Lauren yesterday and I left looking like a million bucks! Lauren was so thorough, professional, skilled and made sure my hair color and cut was what I wanted. I absolutely loved the job she did and I have finally found my hair person! I would highly recommend this salon. You pay for what you get is what I believe and well worth it to feel and look amazing!
It looks like I cannot write a 2nd review but I stopped by on Saturday 12-7 at 6:10 pm,hours said open till 8 pm but the shop was closed. I needed hair conditioner very badly. I then stopped tonight, Monday,12-9 @ 7:22 pm, hours are till 8 pm and the clerk at Front desk said she had just closed out the register and that they were now closed. Excuse me. I pay $250 to $300 and you cannot allow me to buy products when your shop is suppose to be open? I was really mad. This is not the type of service I expected of this shop.

I always know what to expect - fantastic service, lovely people, a gorgeous cut, at a really reasonable price.

Had an appointment with Lindsay for a haircut and I cannot remember the last time I was so pleased with a stylist and the finished product!! Lindsay has mad skills and is so upbeat/fun and confident. I will definitely be back!

I love this salon & my stylist Missi. She is phenomenal at color & cuts, & is delightful to chat with. The salon has a very pleasant ambience & the Aveda products (hair & facial regimen) they carry are awesome. I love being pampered knowing the products being used are healthier for me & the planet.

It is first experience for me in your salon but I never thought that will happen
First thing when I asked for an appointment I asked for hair stylist in level 3 or minimum 2, today after I finished I discovered that the stylist was new talent her name was Cassidy Cahill.
Second thing she was treating me not good at all. But I said it is ok maybe she is under work pressure..
The worst part just will start now, I showed her a picture for what I need.. she said oh yes I can do that.. but after she finished I just found something else not like the picture I told her
She said no because of your hair type (it is totally something different) and this is not first time to have this specific hair cut and always get amazing. But with her was bad.
I kept asking her to try to do it as the picture
And then she just told me that she just have 5 minuets she can t do anything more than that
I just gave money to make my hail looks bad

Great place! I've had regularly scheduled hair cuts with Megan for years. She is professional, on time and always gives me a great hair cut. And she is just so personable. I highly recommend her and her salon.

I just love this salon. Everyone there is so nice and helpful, it is truly five star treatment. The location is great, you can get salon treatment and then go out to lunch and shop.

I wanted half inch off my layers and overall length. The hair dresser first trimmed the length, taking barely anything off, then she blow dried and styled for a while, and lastly she took a little bit here and there off my layers. She spent more time blow drying than cutting. She was one of their less experienced hair dressers, but when you are charging $50 for a haircut, you should provide a haircut. Waste of time and money. Adios!

I don't know who the person is who wrote the previous review, but there isn't a single person in this establishment who comes across as rude, or snobby. Conversation isn't forced, it's a part of their occupation as a stylist.
I've been here a number of times and it's a small space so you get to hear conversations going on around you at any given time. All the girls here are kind, sincere, accommodating and professional. Ultimately, you can't please everyone so good riddance to the previous reviewer and bravo to the Zinke Knoebel girls and your professionalism!

I went in to Zinke for the first time today and saw Cassie. She did an amazing job rescuing my very damaged hair and making me feel beautiful again. She was very knowledgeable about hair, the Aveda products and the ways in which that salon takes admirable measures to be more environmentally conscious. And she was also super sweet and a pleasure to talk to. I will definitely go back to Zinke and also recommend it to others!

Such a fantastic salon! Everyone is always so nice and my hair always looks so amazing! All the stylists are super talented, and I love seeing what they come up with for my hair when I get it highlighted or cut. Julia is my go to stylist for any of my hair coloring needs; always turns out phenomenal! And, Annie is the best when I want to get my hair cut! I ll go from long to short every now and then, and she cuts my hair even better than what I imagine!

I have been trying out a handful of different salons in Boulder and I am so glad I tried Zinke. I finally found a place I will go back to. Alyssa could not have been more amazing. I love my hair cut and she has so much hair care knowledge! They start every service with a shoulder massage, it's incredible!

I ve never left a review before, but I just had a haircut and color with Annie at Zinke I m Boulder. She is a gem! I couldn t be happier! I love the way all the stylists work together, so refreshing. Most salons seem to be the opposite. I also appreciate a stylist who is not constantly pushing product. Of course I ended up buying stuff, but I walked out of the salon knowing the product I bought is truly what I need. I will go back to Zinke again!

Then nothing to my response no information that is terrible service, that is a horrible staff. If you want customers maybe you should give actual information. So I do have an experience and opinion on how I was treated. Based on that I would never want to walk into you business if this is how you treat customers!! So I still support my 1 star and to STAY AWAY!!!!!!

They used to have reasonable priced men cuts around $20-35. Now they start at $45 with the lowest tier hair specialists. Not worth the money.

Cassie is an amazing stylist! My hair is the perfect color and she is an excellent conversationalist. I've been going to this establishment for several years, and I would highly recommend her!

I love this salon. Everyone is friendly and I've never left disappointed or unhappy. They wow me everytime and I always leave feeling great! A good stylist is hard to find and I'm so glad I have this salon. I definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Zinke usually gives me a good cut and style, however my last experience was probably the worst hair appointment of my life. Jacqueline James, a level 3 stylist, cut my hair uneven and gave me choppy and inconsistent layers. She half heartedly blow dried and styled my hair and ultimately my hair looked fried and brittle. I had to go home and wash my hair again to get the disgusting dryness from my tips away. My split ends were still there after the appointment when i specifically asked for her to cut my hair enough to get rid of them. My hair was in worse condition after than it had been in before. I would give 0 stars if possible. I am never going to get my hair done from Jacqueline ever again, and I would not recommend her as a stylist to anyone planning to go to Zinke.

Nothing but fantastic things to say about Zinke in Boulder!! I ve been seeing a terrific stylist named Lindsay Tarrant and she really repaired years of bad cuts & color. As far as the cut, (I have curly hair), she cuts so I can wear my hair curly or straight and both work really well. As far as color, she has guided me towards the most flattering with my eye color and skin tone. The Aveda coloring products are also much gentler than other salons I ve been to (they never have a strong chemical smell but smell quite yummy!).

I also leave the salon every time with a super cute blowout & style, and she shows me tips to re-create those at home. On top of all that, I get a scalp or hand massage before my treatments with the yummy Aveda scents wafting around (essential oils, etc), which are instant relaxation and a great way to relieve stress of the day. I give my highest recommendation to Nina. She is great to work with and always takes the time to understand what my needs are. I've been going to her for almost 10 years and have always been extremely satisfied with both her awesome coloring skills as well as her cuts!! She is a superb stylist and always has the most up-to-date knowledge of the industry. The salon itself is very clean and follows all health guidelines to the maximum so you'll feel very comfortable from the minute you walk in until you leave looking like your gorgeous self!!!

I have been to many places and none of them have been able to find a great unique style that fits me, and Zinke hair studio was able to do that. This place has a great atmosphere and the stylists are very accommodating. Also, ask to get your chakras re-aligned. You will be pleasantly delighted to find how your nose knows best, and will feel rejuvenated while learning about yourself. Very fun. I highly recommend coming here even if you are a guy

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Literally the worst haircut I have ever had--I'm not even sure how it happened. I came in with very clear photos of a relatively straightforward cut that just involved getting and cleaning up some layers and leaving the overall length untouched. What I ended up with was some sort of horrible, drastic, unbelievably strange mullet. There is a circle on the top of the back of my head with hair about an inch and a half long, but then the hair everywhere else is super long with no layers at all...even if I HAD wanted a mullet, this cut doesn't even make sense.

I am seriously just confused as to why the stylist thought this was correct or okay, and I fear that I need to cut off all of my remaining hair just to get it looking presentable again. If she didn't feel comfortable doing the cut, or accidentally made a cut or two that were too short, I wish she would have told me right away instead of going along with it and making it so much worse. By the time I really saw the damage, it was already too late and I didn't even know what to say. I got a refund, but unfortunately, that doesn't really solve my problem at all. I really hate being so rude or harsh, but I am just completely mortified and wanted to be completely honest. I will never be stepping foot inside of this salon again, and I wish I never had.

I can't say enough positive things about this salon! All the stylists are top notch, and I am always in love with my color each and every visit! Megan and Jolene are also so fantastic! Truly the top salon in Boulder, providing the BEST color!

Nina is by far the most amazing hair stylist I've ever had. She really understand what I'm looking for, but I also completely trust her to spunk things up. She asks for insight and feedback along the road to get to the final product which is always perfect. I love going to Zinke not only because of Nina, but because of the friendly staff.

UPDATE JULY 2020: I visited the salon this week for a haircut. Their salon is SPOTLESS clean. They are following a meticulous new process given the Covid situation. Julia was my stylist. She wore a mask and had a face shield on during my appointment as well. I was impressed and felt very safe and cared for. Thank you to the Zinke team for taking such good care of your clients and the community! Not to mention, no matter who I see there, my color and cut is always awesome! I appreciate you all.

Just had an interview at this salon. The owner told me that the clients there are their property. Told me if they hired me on I'd have to sign a non compete contract because they Recently had a 5 stylist walk out. The interview was interrupted 3 times by other stylists. Personally feel like if you have the need to tie your stylists down then the salon culture is not healthy. Would seriously not recommend

Update: Zinke Hair Studio - Boulder- your contracts also don t allow stylists who wish to leave to do so without being sued for guests who want to follow them. How could they leave if they even wanted to? I m not buying it

I love to come here. I go to Megan, and she's fantastic at doing color and also cutting my hair. We discuss what I want and work together on a color and cut, and she always wants to make sure I'm satisfied with everything. I'm always so happy when I leave because I've had such an enjoyable experience and my hair looks great! I also like that everyone works together and helps each other. I've been a a lot of hair studios in Boulder, and this is the best one over all that I've found.

Missi is absolutely amazing. She does a great job with my very thick hair, giving it a great style each time. When I first moved to Boulder, Zinke was the second hair studio I tried, and because of the haircut (and Missi's fantastic personality), I kept coming back. She chopped my long hair off on my second visit (at my request!) and I donated it to Locks of Love. I went through a few different short styles over the years, and now I'm trying to grow it back out again (to donate after my wedding). Sadly, I'm moving away soon, so I'll have to find someone as talented (and as reasonably priced) where I'm headed next.

Cassidy made my hair look amazing! I did balayage and a cut. The color and cut were exactly what I was looking for. She brightened it up, but made sure it would blend nicely when my roots grow in. I have thick/textured hair and she had no problem styling it. I would recommend her.
