Amazing camp and with great game viewing activities in South Luangwa National Park Nsefu Sector

2019 May 17 ,the camp is already open and beautiful sharlets with fantastic view overlooking the river luangwa easy access to the NSEFU sector remotely from the main park game drive area.

Zikomo is located in the more remote Nsefu sector, adjacent to South Luangwa. Whereas South Luangwa can get crowded with many tourists, Nsefu offers more game and on many occasions your jeep will be the only one watching the wildlife undisturbed. It is a location preferred by documentary makers, photographers and those there for the wildlife.

The founders who worked hard to design and construct the camp also call it home and live on the property. Perhaps their direct engagement makes Zikomo one of the best camps I have been to. They have rooms as well as designated spots for campers. When you book a room, the rates include all meals, laundry service and activities such as game drives and nature walks. The game drive includes a drinks break and the drinks are included. Lunch is usually 2-course. Dinner is typically a 3/4 course meal with starters or soup, a main dish and dessert. They have an excellent team of chefs and the food quality, taste is at par with the best.

Tip - Nsefu has more sightings and more intimate sightings than the main sector in South Luangwa. If you're focus is wildlife, this camp is a great option. Other camps around may be more expensive, but this camp is at par with them so you can get the best of Nsefu at a better rate.

Tip - Go early to get the most from your activity. They do not cram you with too many people in the jeep on game drives. You may have a private drive or be with one or two other people at most.

Tip - Like most camps in Nsefu, this camp is remote and not accessible when the rains come. Its a great option in the dry season.

Tip - The drinking water in the camp is perfect and probably better than bottled water. Do not get bottled water from outside.
