Ziekenhuis Tjongerschans Review

I recently ended up in the Tjongerschans. From the moment the ambulance doors opened and I was driven into the emergency room. There were expert people at my bedside. As a layman, I cannot judge whether the medication and treatment I received was medically good, but I was treated with much clarity and respect. Also in the nursing ward, where there is a lot of privacy in the rooms, I was met with respect and patience. From specialists, doctors, nutrition assistants, nurses physio / ergo therapy and speech therapyT.e.m. Patients transport people a big compliment.
I had the impression that there was good communication between the different disciplines, this also struck me in the treatment of my fellow patients.
In the central hall there are sufficient facilities, such as a shop and the opportunity to have a drink.
A very nice service was the offered Tablet with a choice of a lot of music, t.v. Programs and event. Games. Tip for program makers, the guidelines for using the tablet may be entered in a somewhat larger font. The small print is tiring for the already not so fit patients to read .. but here too the staff assisted kindly.
I have experienced my stay in the Tjongerschans as pleasant, but especially the feeling of being in the right place gave a lot of peace and that can only be good for a speedy recovery.

Helped quickly and on time and staff has the time for you

After a long journey we finally arrived at mother's deathbed. Sent away after 5 minutes by an angry sister who said I was taking advantage of visiting hours (in the presence of mother). Only 1 person is allowed per visiting hour and my wife was there too, so I was too much. Tomorrow back to Singapore and not able to say goodbye. Despite the good care for mother, a very bad experience. A nice goodbye has been taken from me.

My partner has been "detained" for 14 days in a department where virus and / or bacteria are currently roaming.
Occasionally a room in department 3 is disinfected and the rest of the department is not.
As a result, 4 patients from room 11 became ill.
As a result, 1 of those people could not be brought to Leeuwarden for pipes at the heart.
Nothing done so far.
Cardiology has new cardiologists and that was very unfortunate for my partner.
Pity is to say the least ...... He had to be admitted immediately from a cardiologist with severe anxiety.
After catheterization, a place in Zwolle or Leeuwarden would be arranged asap.
After more than a week it turned out that there was no information at all for a place in Zwolle.
Only after 2 (two) weeks transported to Leeuwarden where he was NOT helped but was sent home the next day with medication?
Cardiologist in Heerenveen had discovered a blockage and Leeuwarden says no.
It was told by cardiologist Heerenveen that a new technique would be applied and cardiologist Leeuwarden says that is not so bad.
For now my partner can't walk 10 meters (stuffiness during exertion) and we will have to go to Zwolle for second opinion.
The reimbursement for 14 days admission will go to Tjongeschans.
Maybe they can spend that money to make viruses and bacteria-free.

This hospital is not yet worth giving it 1 star. Planning is a mess. The staff is unfriendly. Conversations about other patients, by name and by name, are no exception here. I am therefore considering having the Health Care Inspectorate investigate this slaughterhouse; it cannot go on like this.

Very unfriendly, rude operator at the appointment department who repeatedly said "YES?" tries to find out if it is understood. If you do not understand or understand the questions properly, repeat the question very irritated. I am glad this is not my regular hospital.

These 5 stars have earned all the people I dealt with during my stay in the hospital: the desk clerks, the nurses, the surgeon, the anesthetist, the kitchen staff and all the careful information orally and in writing. My gallbladder is out, my admiration for the Tjongerschans is great!

I am not asking a question, I am telling my experience, I arrived there with a chest crisis (bronchitis). She has a box of medicine (Foster200 / 6) and told me that I have to pay 86 euros, otherwise I will not get it (you know the meaning of breast crisis), even if I asked for a thousand euros, I would have paid .. all this in the emergency room.

Friendly and helpful staff. You will be helped quickly and expertly. Communication between the departments is a point for attention. After intake interviews and frequent repetition, it is not yet clear with some employees.

You arrive there at 8 in the morning for the results of an MRI scan that you had because you have had terrible pain in your back for 3 months, radiating to your entire left leg. Waited 5 weeks for the scan and now the results. No madam it is not a hernia. I do see a small cyst against the spine, but I doubt it will be. I need to discuss that with the neurosurgeon. Huh discuss what did you do last week? So now an appointment with the neurosurgeon and a box of morphine with you ????? And then wait again ....... What does the employer say about this I have not been working for 3 months. My children are on vacation but we can't leave. What a drama this

The waiting time for the jaw surgery is in March and for emergency you could already wait 2 weeks .. you have to bleed half to death if you want to be helped today. All this resulted in a dental abscess and an exception in another hospital. Now it is true that the molar is still not pulled while this is the 2nd inflammation in 2 weeks .. I don't get the dentist to understand that this causes a 3rd inflammation (because they only act urgently when it returns to this level has come) they do not know prevention .. but okay now this is somewhat up to the dentist. What I do hold the tjongerschans responsibility for is that you are already planning in March at the end of November .. how many of those people will get the same dilemma as me, I wonder .. for me it is clear. the mouth care here in the middle of Friesland is in any case broken. I think I should draw it myself, without jokes. I have already had the 2nd cure after this, it is officially no longer allowed and there is a risk of bacterial resistance. Wonderful this stress. I gave birth here a year ago and I only praise the hospital and staff. I was already received in the hall by the nurse (was brought with the ambu, because at home unfortunately did not) They make good decisions that they clearly explain to you and give you after the time all the time and space to relax, take a shower etc. Was then kindly escorted outside by one of the employees. Another employee had picked up our driver well and let us park at the entrance. All in all super and only eye for the patient.

Our son was born here last week by means of a planned Caesarean section. We were welcomed and well looked after.
Doctor Janssen is a very nice, calm and knowledgeable gynecologist and we found all the other staff to be equally friendly and helpful, so we had a very nice start with our son and look back on the operation and recovery with a good feeling.

Planning is a complete chaos.
Waiting areas not always clean, dust three months there before is still there, drilling dust, building material.
