Zen Yoga Garage changed my life. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place, and don't even know where to start! AMAZING teachers, amenities, schedule.. everything. I love you guys!

When I first moved to Chicago, I tried out Zen Yoga Garage's free Saturday community classes. Piper is an amazing instructor and the overall atmosphere of the studio is perfect. Also, a big perk- it's right off the Western Blue Line stop!

Go here and grab your free week and stay for the knowledgeable teachers and great atmosphere. This brand new studio is surrounded by tons of parking (pay sadly) and is easy to get to. The Western Blue line isn't too far away. Piper, the owner, is remarkably genuine and really interested in furthering your practice. I also had Emma as a teacher for a basically private class (no one else had come) and she helped me fix my tights shoulders and perfect some poses. I feel like I learned more in a week than I had in quite awhile. Ohh and also cool, the studio is housed in a redone garage. Worth a check just for the interesting architecture.

Chicago's top independent yoga studio! Wide variety of class formats and teaching styles, open to all levels. Lots of great special events including live music, wine tasting, free community classes and kids yoga. Registered 200 Hour Yoga School has trained more working instructors than any other independent school in Chicago! A family owned and operated since 2013. So much to love!

I attended grand opening week of this new hot yoga spot. Very impressive from outdoor appearance to interior decor and most importantly the classes offered.

Beautiful, serene, clean, and ambience. Including cool garage door that is open and you can see as you walk by the yoga class happening in the room.

I recommend Monika Marynowski for hardcore yoga workout. She is fantastic and push you over your limit and you will definitely sweat like a pig.

Friendly staff tho sometime no one is present at the front desk and door is locked during class time. Best to arrive ten minutes early and might have to wait until door open for next class.

Beautiful and clean facility! Really nice that mat rental is $1 since I was visiting from out of town for the week. Buddha Yoga Burn was a class I've always wanted and didn't know existed until this studio! It was hard, but don't be afraid of the challenge. Worth it! Great class!

I recently completed the 200 hour yoga teacher training program at ZYG. If you are thinking about it, let me be the first to tell you that you won't regret taking the plunge! This was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. It is created for all levels of yogis (beginner to advanced) and welcomes all. I was a beginner when I started the program and I not only improved my physical practice, but deepened my spiritual practice on and off the mat as well. The teachers take the time to ensure that you understand what is being taught and make themselves available for any questions via email/phone/etc. The studio is home to a loving community of people and makes you feel like you're one of the family. They offer a wide variety of classes so there is something for everyone.

Thank you to Piper and all of the other teachers who spend hours guiding the trainers during these 10 weeks. "When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back". I am very grateful for this!!

Love ZYG! This is my new yoga place - and the only place where I've bit the bullet and become a member. The sheer number of classes per day paired with the variety is just unbeatable. There's no reason not to go. If you want a hardcore workout, the barre and burn classes deliver and then some. Want to chill? Vin Yin will stretch you out and help you relax. Also, sometimes there's wine. Best of all, EVERY teacher I've had class with has been a true yogi. I feel like they live and breath the yoga lifestyle here. No drill sargents, no one pushing you to go beyond what feels manageable, no "yoga's super trendy right now so I'm going to act like I'm better than you" attitude. You know what I'm talking about. Everyone is happy to see you, welcomes you to class and wants you to listen to your body and leave feeling great. And I always do! Actually, maybe I shouldn't give this place such a good review. I don't want my fave classes to start getting too crowded!

ATTN Yoga skeptics and beginners! This is a great place to try out yoga with kind instructors and regular people. Every Saturday and Sunday they have free community classes for people to come-in and try their amenities. The community is great, and it's conveniently located off the Western blue line. I'm not a traditional yogi, but this studio helped me to feel comfortable and welcomed.

Nothing super terrible about this place but it will be awhile before i try it again. They make you take your shoes off at front desk and walk barefoot to locker rooms which is gross. Front deskperson and teacher seemed to secretely want to tell me off as they were showing signs of being passive agressive while talking to me. Bad vibes, maybe it was just today. This review is meant to help not to hurt it but i was not impressed.

Best place in Chicago! They have so many great teachers, all with a unique approach so everyone can find what they are looking for. You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in to the moment you say goodbye.

Friendly, focused classes for all levels of fitness and experience.
The facilities are clean and convenient. This is a small business run by a passionate team of people who work extremely hard to create a positive experience.
I ve really gained a handle on my fitness here, and I m very grateful.

I tried Zen Yoga Garage out when they first opened because a friend told me about the place. ZYG is very nice and relaxing on the inside, with simple materials and colors that are needed to find your Zen after a long day or week of work. Who needs distractions? I took the Zen Yoga Barre class for the first time ever and the instructor was very knowledgeable and conscientious that I was a beginner, by coming over to make sure I was in the appropriate position as to not harm myself. I just wished this yoga studio was along my work route or near my home. They offer one week free to all beginners, so try this place out!

Recently went in for first time class. Instructor was great, studio was lovely (good and hot), locker rooms were clean (but lock not provided/built in so bring your own).

$1 fee for mat or towel rentals.

This is my new favorite neighborhood yoga studio. They offer tons of classes every day including hot yoga, with weights and barre in addition to traditional vinyasa. The first week is free, their class packages are reasonably priced and it's close to the blue line.

I had a great time there and had an awesome workout. My instructor was Natalie Dietrich and she ran the class very well, music was on point too. Definitely can see myself returning back there soon.

Beautiful studio, great class...but lock your stuff up or don't bring it at all. My whole purse was stolen last week. Don't be fooled by the cameras because they're broken or fake and they don't take names when you come to class so they know who no one is. It's almost perfect for the thieves.

Tried this place numerous times while on Classpass. It's beautiful with great concept, and I wish I love it more, but unfortunately classes always left much to be desired in terms of depth of teaching. Classes are often physically focused, and the teachers are only modestly experienced. The cute little saying and teachings just felt lacking in depth. I think this is a great place to try if you just want yoga as a physical workout, but in terms of the spiritual and mind connections, you are better of going with a studio with more established teachers.
