Zehrs Great Food Review

Love that this store marks down nearly expired foods to sell them as opposed to throwing them out. We get things at a cheaper price, sometimes we try things we wouldn t normally buy and it results in less food waste.
Employees have always been friendly and helpful and they have free fruit for kids!- those little added touches go a long way.

A good grocery store, we'll stocked, great produce. Cashiers are always really friendly.

I am normally pleased with the fresh produce, meat, and bread.

But yesterday I bought a fresh Black Forest Cake for $25 at the bakery. The cake was tasteless, and the advertised cherry filling was better described as a trace of filling...it became a game to see if anyone could actually find any filling.

Black Forest is my mother s favourite cake. Her 85th birthday was yesterday. Her birthday cake was not much of a celebration.

Typical grocery store. Clean and good selection but pricier than most.

Fell flat on my butt at the entrance because it was raining outside and someone brought in shopping carts that left water. Should have mopped it up or at least put a wet floor sign, not a great start to my day

Love the Zehrs points great for buying food for birthdays

Don't go here if you are in a hurry or are short on time. Lines are always 7-10 people deep. Also, no small plastic carts if you want to pick up a few items only. Produce good and people there are generally friendly so great place if you are retired and like standing in line.

Clean friendly atmosphere. Large produce area and Bakery on site. Deli and hot foods available. Eating area outside store for eating takeout food.

Zehrs is a "higher end" grocery store. You pay the price by shopping here. However on multiple occasions the prices don't match the quality. I have purchased grossly "frost bitten" foods (Which you wouldn't know till you got home) so I will give them that. But when the produce sucks or lasts a day that is a bit ridiculous. Just recently bought a bagged Caesar with expiry Nov 23 brought it home and it had to be thrown out because it was brown. Wasteful and expensive! Also they are very sneaky with their "sale" prices. Things are mislabeled a ton and when you call them out...its the customer that's lying. Buyer Beware Here!!

Love shoping at Zehrs. Lots of choices of lots of products....has a great fresh produce section!

Clean store with friendly & helpful staff. They have all the brands I shop for and as an added bonus I always get my flu shot at the in-store pharmacy. Want wine, beer or liquor? They have that too!

Way overpriced in my opinion. I started shopping for my groceries at fresh co. On Ontario street. Definitely more value for your dollar. Zehrs does have a good deli however.

I love Zehrs but the long lineups now that they don't have an express lane during the week is very frustrating.

I get there is a virus. Can you please not hide your line up all the way back to your freezers. I go in to get chicken taters etc, then go to a cash register to pay and get informed the lines at the back. Had I have seen the line out front I would have went to kfc. I wanted to leave all the salads and 18 pieces of chicken right in the isle, but my mom was with me . So needless to say a hour in line to get to a person that says cash or debit what does that matter you have a cash register and a debit machine. Dinner was cold onion rings where disgusting. That was a waste of 30.00

Unfortunately several staff members without masks. Including the self checkout. Disappointed. Carts are no longer being cleaned for customers.

I like that store products but don't like how you get tricked many times with their specials... They put stickers on shelves that it's on special then you go to cash out only to catch the prices aren't the sale price! You question service and service tells you the sales only starting in a day or 2 or sale ended. Happens to me a lot!!!

Large and it sells variety of goods, especially foods

Great Stores.. Find Everything you need. From Seedless Grapes to Dish Towels, Outside Dishes, Diapers.. Don't forget Pet Food, Accessories and your Favourite IceCream. Cakes can be Ordered with your photo on it.. Cooking Classes and Clothes..

Go to store. Produce, Proteins all very good quality.

The price are high . U pick things u need, it cost anout $ 60 or 70 . you come two bags . and u why did spend that much on . you will think twice about it .when u have a bugget you can not go ove that amount.

There is never more then 3 cash open and you cannot pay cash at the self serve

Zehrs Pharmacy is amazing. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and they go above and beyond of what you would expect from a pharmacy. I highly recommend them!

My favourite grocery store in the area. They're hard workers who seem to be very dedicated to their jobs - they must be treated right.

I shop regularly at Fairview Mall zehr's. Customer Service is great. Very friendly and helpful store.

Only 2 tellers at checkout. Lines are 20 people long. Out of stock on all paper products.

My only complaint is the prices. I love how organized this store is. I love the quality of the produce and meat. I love the variety. And I love the self checkout.

Everything you need including organic - healthy items

I strongly prefer this location to the one at the Pen Centre, but both have serious drawbacks, such as traffic and parking.
The prices are high, but I'm ok with that. That's the cost you pay for shopping at a clean store that has virtually everything you need, including hard to find veggies, nice produce, and organic items, rather than a dank store like Food Basics.

I don't shop here a lot, because it's always very busy. They do have good prices and great selections of groceries and an especially large produce section. The meat section is also very large.

Produce seems decent as far as freshness but Zehrs self check out is ridiculous, all the words have been taken out of the user interface. I want to buy groceries, not do pictogragh puzzles with an erratic computer

Expensive compared to other supermarkets, things are good though.

High prices for product that is often 1/2 the price across the parking lots at Food Basics. Hit and miss on staff. Some are fantastic some are downright rude. On a more sour note; I was at the hot foods count and a gentleman in a wheelchair seat trying to get the staff member's attention as they proceeded to serve others who came up after him. I asked him if he needed a hand and helped him reach an item he couldn't quite reach. Then he took it to the crash at the end of the counter while they then help more people who came after him while he waits. It wasn't until I said something to the store manager who just happened to be standing nearby that they helped him. Never had an issue returning an item. The steaks are fantastic and there is a tonne of selection. They also have beer and wine which is good.

Too busy and overpriced!!! Better off going to food basic in the same mall

I was in the other day and I had one of the most annoy cashiers. She went on and on about her children and how she likes to knit and how its her son's birthday on Friday and blah blah blah blah. I don't think that cashier's need to share personal information with the customers as truly I do not care and it slows the line down. A suggestion would be to train your cashiers to not engage in a conversation with every customer about their life and speed up the lines.

It's a one stop shop, you can get everything in one place, love it

Really like this Zehrs, better than some of their other stores. Well set out, clean, lots of choice - but perhaps some prices are a little bit higher than some other stores, but I like this store.

It's a clean high end supermarket like one would expect

We had a few items to get for dinner and we had plenty of time to shop but sticking to our schedule & list have us more time to bbq our meal.

Very clean store. Great variety of foods, particularly fresh fruits and vegetables.

Great supermarket, lots of organic items, excellent selection of fresh produce and baked goods. The layout is nice and spacious, the store is always clean, and the washrooms are easy to find/reach. I love the fact that all the cash desks are open at peak times. Not the cheapest place to shop but definitely worth the extra cost.

The food is good quality, but the staff are rotten. I had the woman at customer service today refuse to take my passport photo today because she was "too busy", but I was the only person in line and all she was doing was restocking the scratch tickets. Very disappointed with the bad service I received.

We always order online here for PC Express pick up. Each time, the staff are incredibly quick at bringing out our order and are very friendly. I am extremely pleased with all of the staff members at how fast they are, how courteous they are, and how they keep everyone safe during the pandemic.

Staff is unfriendly and not knowledgeable about products. This location runs out of advertised specials regularly
