Zea Woodfire Grill Review

A favorite of mine in Lafayette, a city with many fine restaurants. Food is very good, and there always seems to be something new and sensuous.

Keely was our server for my cousins anniversary lunch. Our waitress was great and so was the food! They are able to accommodate large groups with ease. The other waiters involved did a great job too.

Service was excellent and the food was even better.

Incredible food and great service. I got the Pesto Trout and Mediterranean hummus, and I can honestly say that I've never had a meal like it before.

Best red beans and rice..period. I always take out of town guest and customers for the ribs, red beans and shrimp/corn grits. By far a must stop while in town as this is a local favorite and staple of the community.

The waitress was awesome. The service was fantastic. Very clean and the food absolutely delicious. The employees kept us laughing. Really! Please check them out. Friendly environment.

Get there for any occasion/just good food and service

The food is good and the customer service is amazing! Thank you to the manager who personally came to our table to serve my babies Ice cream. They will always remember that.

Pleasant atmosphere, outside dining available, prices reasonable, staff courteous & attentive.
The food was excellent, portions were generis. Staff checked often to see if we needed anything from refills on our drinks to to go container.

seriously good food, even better service. Back in town for the holidays - Didn t realize it was ULL winter graduation night! But even then everything was still amazing. The servers and hostess were super accommodating even though the place was packed. Food was still delicious and served piping hot. Always make sure at least one person at the table gets the ribs

Food, drinks, and service was good! Some times fish can be just a little under cooked.

The food was incredible! And they let our service dog in with no problems.

The service was great, but our meals left alot to be desired. The snap beans were stringie and tough, the braised cabbage was tough as well. Our chicken wasn't tender, difficult to cut through to take away from the bone. Seasoning was blane on all counts. There were many there eating, but I doubt if we will return.

Food is pretty good. Service is excellent. Annually go here for a work dinner with a client (about 20 people) and we get a private room. Service is excellent.

Omg , i don t know where to start! EVERYTHING was delicious! The service was on point ! The vibe was great! The first place I ve been and really loved everything We ordered ! I will definitely be going back! 11/10!

Zea is amazing. Great gluten-free options, daily rotisserie specials, awesome cocktails and pleasant atmosphere with quality staff.

Happy hour is when you want to go. Drinks are elaborate and trendy. Appetizers are great - especially the Crab cakes in an amazing spicy lime sauce. Waiters are inexperienced but energetic, have patience and you will enjoy.

Great food and service with vegetarian options...lively atmosphere.

Thai Ribs were excellent. Braised veal was very tender and juicy, but a little too salty. Rotisserie chicken was very tender but dry and didn't really have a lot of flavor. Beer is terrible. Decent overall but I had hoped for a little better.

The best experience I've had at Zea's was this last time. Waiter was excellent and even repeated all or orders back to us to make sure they were correct. Crispy Duck I ordered was fantastic. No complaints.

Omg I've only been here once but loved it! I maybe spent $50, so I'd only eat here again for a special occasion. Which I will definitely be doing! Good sized portions and good service.

We were on our long road trip from Houston to enjoy a few days of vacation in New Orleans. We stopped here for the 1st time and for a quick bite. We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. I recommend everything that we had which was: Thai Rib Stack, Rotisserie Chicken, Shrimp & Grits, Hummus, and Cheese Cake. Everything was above our picky expectations. The service and hospitality was even better. Our server Dashay was super kind and attentive. She made excellent recommendations. The Manager Tucker was very kind, too. He genuinely wanted to know what we thought of the food. We never buy any items off the shelf from a restaurant, but we were so impressed that we bought their variety of sauces. I can't wait to cook with them. My favorite dish was the roasted corn grits! It was to die for.

Garlic & Herb Rotisserie Chicken is absolutely incredible.

The duck was not crispy and the asparagus was large and fibrous. Not once was my water glass refilled. But this is one of the few places open on a Sunday night.

The return to Zea Rotisserie since the Covid-19 pandemic and CDC opening guidance was a welcoming and excellent dining experience. I was enthusiastically greeted by name as I entered the door. The Thai ribs are still so delicious and the service staff was outstanding! This place still has the best "WOW FACTOR" serving a mix of Asian and American dishes with a flair!

Food was great! Service was great! Great experience every time.

The kitchen is right there at the order desk. Everybody yells at everybody. Pretty unique nice outdoor seating or indoors on the porch. Nice old building in the university area. Student workers add vitality to the environment.

I love the food here, but the drinks aren't the best.

I wished I would've inquired more about the smothered chicken option. It was definitely not what I was use to. However the environment and atmosphere was great.

Their ribeye had a very good flavor. They don't stock the wine I like with my steak. Service was excellent. I like that the manager came by my table, actually having a conversation with me, not just the obligatory greeting and moved on. If they are reading this then the wine I would like is a Bordeaux.

The food is always excellent. The service is not. I have never been treated with such rudeness and arrogance by the service and management staff. As much as I love this place, I will never go back due to the way my husband and I were spoken to as though we were less than human.

I've never had a bad experience at Zea's. The food is top notch, drinks are stiff and staff is super friendly. Only negative is the wait time cause everyone wants to eat here!

This place is excellent! Food is always great and so is the service. The manager always walks around to see how things are going. This place is busy for lunch and dinner but is always worth the wait. There is seating outside to enjoy while you wait for your table.

We had a large group of 16. Everyone was thrilled with their meal. My trout was awesome! Our server was one of the best I have ever had for any restaurant. Seldom do I give 5 stars. The service put it over the top!
